Very convenient hotel for traveling by train, only a 5 min walk from the station on level ground. Only drawback was the lack of laundry service on weekends. They do not have washing machines on site as advertised.

This is an old hotel that has had some upgrades recently I believe. The staff were really nice and the rooms were clean, with nice toiletries. The lobby is comfortable with a coffee machine and tea available. You can keep your bike in a room in the underground car park. Centrally located for the city centre. The park it's next to is a bit grim (not the hotel's fault but worth knowing if you walk there at night). It lost a star for one reason - the WiFi. It was really unreliable and I had to rely on my data. This is something that should be looked into - perhaps it's just certain rooms? - as in 2025 the WiFi needs to be reliable.

This hotel could be a lot classier if the doors were all refinished, the tarnished old doorknobs were replaced with elegant shiny brass hardware and the carpeting in the hallways was replaced because there were bleached spots and spots on them everywhere!! Very disappointing to have this old hotel in such poor condition! Not a four star due to these very noticeable eyesore issues!

Außen hui, innen Pfui.das Haus hat wirklich bessere Tage gesehen. Die Zimmer entsprachen nicht den Hochglanzfotos. Modergeruch. Ramponiertes Mobiliar. Unidentifizierbare Flecken auf Flächen die man lieber sauber weiß und über deren Entstehung man besser nicht nachdenken mag. Vorhänge gab es keine, dafür ein kaputtes Rollo. Für den Preis von über 100 Euro eine Zumutung. Das Frühstück bestand aus billiger Brühwurst, Schinken wurde nicht nachgelegt, klumpige Aufbacksemmeln, langweiligem Käseaufschnitt, Rührei aus dem Tetrapak - alles lieblose Industrieware.

Beeindruckendes Ambiente, sehr freundliche und engagierte Mitarbeiter. Eine kleine Zeitreise oder fast ein Museum, Es gibt allerdings Sanierungsbedarf, aber man sieht überall, dass es keinen Invest gibt. Das Fenster ist beim ankippen fast rausgefallen, die Matratze auf einer Seite komplett durchgelegen. Der Rezeption gemeldet. Wird aber wohl folgenlos bleiben. Auch andere Gäste beschwerten sich über ähnliches. Das schlimmste aber, beim Frühstück an den Milchkaraffen waren die Glas-Ränder komplett zersplittert. Bei Beanstandung beim Frühstücks- Personal wurde die Karaffe sofort ausgetauscht. Mit etwas weniger Splitterrändern. Am nächsten Morgen war die komplett zersplitterte wieder da. Da gab es wohl Order, das bleibt so. Sehr traurig und sehr gefährlich. Die Chance sich einen Glassplitter in den Darm einzufangen, da hört der Spaß und Sparwut auf. Rein oberflächlich gesehen aber ein Erlebnis.

Das Hotel selbst hat den Charme eines alten Grand Hotels. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Das Hauspersonal ist sehr zuvorkommend, auch wenn die deutsche Sprache nicht durchgehend gegeben ist. Mit Englisch oder Spanisch kommt man hier deutlich weiter, aber dies ist mittlerweile in vielen Hotels der Fall, weshalb dies nicht in unsere Bewertung einfließt. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ausreichend bestückt und es gibt für jeden etwas. Was leider ein wenig negativ ins Gewicht fällt ist die Tatsache, dass rund um das Hotel einige Menschen rumlungern, die man nicht wirklich in seiner Umgebung braucht, da ist immer ein leicht mulmiges Gefühl mit im Gepäck. Allgemein könnte das Hotel für Gäste mit sehr hohen Ansprüchen nicht unbedingt genügen, da das ganze Haus hier und da ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen ist und die auf den Bildern glänzende Fassade leicht bröckelt. Uns hat es dennoch gefallen, und wir würden das Haus vermutlich auch noch einmal besuchen. PS der Fernseher dürfte für viele zu klein sein, aber wir waren auch nicht zum Fernsehen dort.

Das Haus lebt von seiner Vergangenheit. Die jedoch war zu Zeiten bayerischer Könige gut. Ein WLan, das selbst von einem Edge auf dem Handy noch überholt wird. Das Frühstücksbuffet erinnerte mich in Art und Aufmachung an die 70er Jahre. Lediglich der Vollautomat war in der Neuzeit angekommen. Das Zimmer war eine Mischung aus alf, abgenutzt mit neue Fernseher. Es gibt viele bessere und zugleich günstigere Alternativen in Regensburg

Vi kom till hotellet som är väldigt nära tågstationen, ca 10 minuters gångväg. Det betyder att hotellet ligger också väldigt centralt som är en jätte fördel. Valentina checkades oss in snabbt och enkelt. Rummet var stort men en nackdel var att vi fick en kombi badkar med dusch. Det var svårt att kommer in och ut från det. I och med det var en värmebölja, (30 grader minst), kunna hotellet låna ut flera fläktar. Tyvärr hade inte hotellet AC. Frukost var ok och det fanns kylskåp i rummet. Personalen på hotellet var underbara, speciellt Valentina, Doris och Monica! Dessutom städar hotellet alla rum varje dag. Vi rekommenderar hotellet i den här liten men intressant tysk stad.

A beautiful upscale hotel, managed by Eurostars near the Regensburg train station and the inner city. Cathedral (Dom) is nearby, my double room was beautiful, high ceilings, seating, large bed, TV with international channels, bathroom was modern, shower excellent same like the red pomegranate amenities, they smell so nice, loved the huge bed, the public areas are magnificent too, breakfast is wonderful, easy going and very tasty. When visiting Regensburg I personally recommend the Eurostars Park Hotel Maximilian wholeheartedly. Hopefully I will be staying again in the future too. Staff had been delightful and wonderful at the same time. Thank you.

Zwar ist das Gebäude beeindruckend von außen, die Einrichtung und Ausstattung spiegeln ähnliche Moderne wieder - leider keine. Unbequeme Betten, alte Badezimmer, dunkle Räume, unangenehme Lautstärke, keine AC… Das Personal ist freundlich, die Räume sauber. Ich würde das Hotel leider nicht weiterempfehlen.
Zwar ist das Gebäude beeindruckend von außen, die Einrichtung und Ausstattung spiegeln ähnliche Moderne wieder - leider keine. If I’m honest, this hotel was very much “fur coat but no underwear”! The pictures looked fabulous and the location is right in the town but, apart from the facade, it is old, outdated and needs renovation. Room size was ok but no air-con, average wi-fi speed, bathroom was clean but that’s about it. Why there was a bidet in the room but no toilet next to it is beyond me. The toilet was in a different room! Furniture was tired and dated, bed not particularly comfortable, charging points completely insufficient in number and position. On site parking was in the lower basement with narrow access (for an SUV). No restaurant on site apart from for breakfast and the breakfast somewhat lacklustre. All in all, not worth the money I paid. 1 redeeming feature was the young lady who checked me in and out. She could not have been nicer!

On site parking was in the lower basement with narrow access (for an SUV). No restaurant on site apart from for breakfast and the breakfast somewhat lacklustre. All in all, not worth the money I paid. 1 redeeming feature was the young lady who checked me in and out. She could not have been nicer!

This is an old hotel that has had some upgrades recently I believe. The staff were really nice and the rooms were clean, with nice toiletries. The lobby is comfortable with a coffee machine and tea available. You can keep your bike in a room in the underground car park. Centrally located for the city centre. The park it's next to is a bit grim (not the hotel's fault but worth knowing if you walk there at night). It lost a star for one reason - the WiFi. It was really unreliable and I had to rely on my data. This is something that should be looked into - perhaps it's just certain rooms? - as in 2025 the WiFi needs to be reliable.

Vi kom till hotellet som är väldigt nära tågstationen, ca 10 minuters gångväg. Det betyder att hotellet ligger också väldigt centralt som är en jätte fördel. Very impressive when we walked in but sadly not a really cheerful welcome. Room was lovely and roomy with nice view of the pond. Fan in room as no AC which was good as you couldn't keep windows open due to traffic noise. Perfectly adequate for sleeping. First day their only restaurant was closed for a private event but we weren't told until we went there for a drink and meal after a 4km walk on a very warm day. Nothing else available on site even for a drink and no suggestions given so had to find something ourselves. Last morning had breakfast which was very average and cold. Told desk clerk who said....sorry about that and charged us anyway.

The hotel reception area and dining rooms are lovely. The hallways need a bit of updating. Reservation was for twin beds. Room received had single bed. Hotel accommodated us with another room that required some adjustments. Breakfast was excellent. Appreciated the coffee available in the lobby. Hotel is near train station and easy walk with luggage. Would stay at this hotel again.

Gute Lage und ein schönes altes Hotel aber… In die Jahre gekommen… keine Klimaanlage und der Lüfter machte Geräusche. Das Frühstück war schlecht- alte trockene Brötchen und Brot (an Wochentagen!) - ein großer Schwarm Fliegen über dem Rührei Behälter, der zwar abgedeckt war?! Das Rührei war m.E. aus Flüssig-Ei. Ein Kaffeeautomat war dauerdefekt und der 2. zeigt über 2 Tage den Hinweis „Entkalken“!!! Am 2. Tag gab es keine Butter. This hotel is nice. The room was adequate. They were nice and had the 2 beds and a pack and play ready for us. The breakfast was good. Centrally located. The basilica St Emmeram was a short walk and the stone bridge was about 10 minutes from there. Thurns and taxis christmas market was super close too. The only thing I didn’t like was the area around the hotel. i felt a bit unsafe walking at night. Too many foreign men around the shopping area. Other than that I recommend it.

The hotel is a local landmark, in prime location, close to the railway station and the historic Altstadt. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped with large, renovated bathroom and separate toilet. Towels were exchanged daily and the room was spotless. In summer, the lack of AC may be a problem. Lobby is spacious with comfortable armchairs.

A beautiful upscale hotel, managed by Eurostars near the Regensburg train station and the inner city. Cathedral (Dom) is nearby, my double room was beautiful, high ceilings, seating, large bed, TV with international channels, bathroom was modern, shower excellent same like the red pomegranate amenities, they smell so nice, loved the huge bed, the public areas are magnificent too, breakfast is wonderful, easy going and very tasty. When visiting Regensburg I personally recommend the Eurostars Park Hotel Maximilian wholeheartedly. Hopefully I will be staying again in the future too. Staff had been delightful and wonderful at the same time. Thank you.

A very nice hotel centrally located within a 5-10 walk of the main town square. The hotel is a bit on the old side but it's recently been remodeled. We are returning guests as we stayed here back in 2011 and the property has gone through some major updates since then. We stayed during the winter taking in the Christmas markets. The location is perfect. It has easy underground parking and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early on our check in day and the front desk person went out of her way to get us in our room early. The breakfast was great and the room was very clean and comfortable and spacious. I will say though that when we visited before it was the summer and very hot out. The rooms didn't (and I still think they don't) have any air conditioning and our room was very hot in the summer which made for an uncomfortable sleep a few nights. However, that didn't prevent us from returning. Would we stay here again? Most definitely yes! The staff and location make this the ideal location.

Die Fotos der Zimmer sind leider so stark bearbeitet , dass wir wirklich enttäuscht waren . Stark abgenutzte Teppiche und Türen im Flur. Zimmermöbel abgeschrammelt. Dusche /Wanne rostig . Nachts extrem laut mit gekippten Fenstern . Personal sehr freundlich . Frühstück gut und wunderschöner Frühstücksraum. Alles in allem bei den alten Zimmern nicht weiterzuempfehlen. schade.

This was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept on. I had three poor nights of sleep and now have a sore neck and back. In addition, the carpet in the third floor hallway is a tripping hazard. During breakfast one morning, the chef was arguing with her juice machine suppliers, and standing in the way of customers. I feel this meeting should have happened after service or somewhere else.

Außen hui, innen Pfui.das Haus hat wirklich bessere Tage gesehen. Die Zimmer entsprachen nicht den Hochglanzfotos. Modergeruch. Ramponiertes Mobiliar. Unidentifizierbare Flecken auf Flächen die man lieber sauber weiß und über deren Entstehung man besser nicht nachdenken mag. Vorhänge gab es keine, dafür ein kaputtes Rollo. Für den Preis von über 100 Euro eine Zumutung. Das Frühstück bestand aus billiger Brühwurst, Schinken wurde nicht nachgelegt, klumpige Aufbacksemmeln, langweiligem Käseaufschnitt, Rührei aus dem Tetrapak - alles lieblose Industrieware.

Ein Kaffeeautomat war dauerdefekt und der 2. zeigt über 2 Tage den Hinweis „Entkalken“!!! Am 2. Tag gab es keine Butter. Das Servicepersonal hat sich, als wir es darauf angesprochen haben, weder bemüht noch entschuldigt…. Einzig das Personal an der Rezeption war immer aufmerksam und sehr gut. Es ist schade - das Maximilian ist ein so schönes altes Hotel mit toller Lage aber mit diesen Service und in diesem heruntergekommenen Zustand nicht zu empfehlen.

We had a suite and it was perfect for our stay in Regensburg. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was close to the train station and all the things we wanted to see

my room had a constant whirring all night long.The tv wasnt tuned in so I couldnt use that. Could have done with tea or coffee making facilities. The hotel was centrally located and downstairs was very grand. It is a very lovely hotel but my particular room was not great.
