I would not stay in this neighborhood or at this hotel ever again. Staff are inattentive and rude. Amenities are bare minimum and it was hard to just get towels when entering the room. Never received hand soap for the entire stay after multiple requests. Breakfast was good and staff in this area was good but quality of food was okay. Overall, the hotel should be reviewed by Minister of Tourism for how it poorly represents Morocco and its hotel industry.

El Minzah is a hotel steep with tradition and one of them must not be hospitality. The front desk was not helpful and rude at times. It was our Anniversary and nothing was done for us, not even saying “Happy Anniversary” or “thank you for staying with us on your special occasion”. They were well informed of our Anniversary in writing over a week in advance. Every other hotel we stayed in in Morocco did something for us whether that was a complimentary upgrade or a cake or flowers or spa. Absolutely nothing at El Minzah. So the hotel is located in a very rough area of town and you definitely need to be careful around there at night. I would not choose the hotel again if everything had been great, just on the location alone. Now we entered our room in probably the worst area of the hotel you could be placed in with no view of anything….no the ocean view or the pool or the park next door. Nothing. We had no towels or hand soap in the room when we arrived. We asked for them and only towels came after about an hour. We asked multiple times again for the soap and never received the hand soap our entire stay. We got fed up of asking so we had to use our own that we travel with always. Breakfast was good and the staff in this area was helpful where they could be. Not enough tables in the place so our second day we had to stand and wait for 20 min before we could eat. Management at this establishment is really bad and the hotel should be reviewed by the head of Morocco tourism.

I had a wonderful stay at El Minzah Hotel. The location is excellent, perfectly situated to explore Tangier, and the hotel’s traditional style and elegant decoration create a truly charming atmosphere. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout, and the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. A special thank you to Rashida, who took care of my room, her work was outstanding and truly appreciated. The breakfast was good, though it leaned more towards international options; I would have loved to see more local Moroccan dishes. Overall, a lovely experience and I would happily stay again.
