What a wonderful 3 night stay! The location, the rooms, swimming pool, restaurants and rooftop lounge bar are all perfect. Housekeeping and room service was impeccable. Highly recommend this beautiful, magically located hotel.

Fina lokaler, skön o bekväm säng. Rent och modernt rum. Däremot är servicen urdålig för en 5 sjärnigt hotell. Personalen hade glömt att köra väskorna till vårt rum och väskorna låg kvar vid hissen. Vi fick påminna dem efter 5h. Det tog ca 1h för personalen att köra ut vår bil från garaget när de hade sagt att det skulle ta 5min.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel. Unlike neighboring hotels like Kenzo (hated my experience there) Barcelo staff is professional and courteous. They make you feel welcomed unlike the Kenzo hotel. They have dining options. Rooms have balconies for views of the beach. The pool is nice and quiet. It's expensive overall but it's worth it.

Fantastic hotel in a great location , the beach & marina is a walking distance away , staff very friendly and efficient , great roof top bar with small pool and awesome views , breakfast was also good with a good variety available . Beds very comfortable and nice bathroom .

My favorite place was the rooftop bar.

Paid for a room that I did not receive. View of a wall instead of sea view and not suitable for 4 people (both as per Expedia’s description). My kids had to sleep on a cot. Shower leaked a lot of water so I used a towel to soak up water. I dragged this towel to front door since the floor in room was sticky and slippery. The towel was black with dirt. Bed light would not turn off so when staff entered room while my kids were already asleep, they were flustered and just cut the electrical cord. Blanket given for kids cot had brown stains all over it. Terrible stay after a long journey of travel and deceiving Expedia description and rating. Cleanliness of hotel came with overwhelming fragrant chemical smells and perfume.

Bel hôtel, bel emplacement. Le séjour peut très bien se dérouler si vous ne rencontrez aucun couac. Autrement, le service client manque de professionnalisme et il ne faut pas compter la dessus, ce qui est indigne d’un hôtel de ce standing. J’ai récupéré une chambre qui empeste la javelle et leur seule solution est de rajouter encore plus de produits chimiques pour camoufler l’odeur. Aucun geste commercial n’a été proposé. Aucune solution. On vous toise et on vous manque de respect en toute normalité. Heureusement que le service client hôtels.com a fait le nécessaire pour me changer de chambre.

The property is nice and new. The breakfast is very impressive. I am surprised that there is no one to help us to move the luggage at the door considering that it is rated 5-star hotel. The bathroom has a little drainage issue, which always overflowed.

Hôtel propre, rénové en 2022 très bien placé, la plage à 5mn et nombreux restaurants et boutiques accessibles à pied. Le Directeur et le personnel de sécurité sont très aimables et accueillants. Taxis toujours présents devant l'hôtel. - Douche mal conçue, des fuites d eau quotidiennes, nous avions acheté 1 serpillière.

I arrived at the room and the floor was wet with a strong bleach smell.Managed to get the room changed and the new room door would not open.Had to go up and down the elevator around 3 times to sort the issue.Finally started to work. Entered and one of the lights did not work, the shaving mirror was hanging off the wall.The door to the balcony also had loose screws and I could hear the traffic outside as well as ppl in the hallway.Slippers were not provided and the TV had NO features to watch any apps. So far it seemed more like a 3* hotel. The breakfast was ok and the view was good.HOWEVER THE WORST WAS YET TO COME.I returned to the hotel to collect my bag and check out. I had a ferry booked and had plenty of time to spare. However, the room lock completely failed. I proceeded to go up and down the elevator around 5 times to fix the issue as they did not believe there was a problem. After the issue was identified, they brought numerous technicians and it took over an hour to get back into the room. By this time there ferry had left and I missed all my connections. They did absolutely nothing to compensate for the delays or travel and left me completely out of pocket. I had to stay another night in Tangier, they said they would look into giving me a free room. Once again the customer service failed. They said all the rooms were taken.Which was a lie as I checked booking sites. Many better hotels in Tangier, even 3*.They even said manager was on holiday on wkends

Excellent hotel with great views, great service, great breakfast very clean and very helpful always. But the most expensive coca cola I have ever had at $12 a can even though in room service it is only $5?? Also tv’s in all public areas just constantly played Barcello hotel group ad which was not attractive for bar and restaurant ambience.

Really beautiful hotel, well-located with excellent views of the beach and sea. Unfortunately they gave me a smoking room when I arrived, and when I asked to change, they were gracious finally, but the room I got was half the size of the one I reserved and paid for. That was a bit disappointing. Also, the street-facing windows (sea views) are not very soundproof and the road noise was very, very loud. But overall, the design and facilities were lovely and the staff was accommodating.

Terrible customer service. And accommodation. Hotel charged me fees two times. They separately charged me for ice. The WiFi did not work for two days, I could not work and 0 compensation for it. My room had a lot of damages. How come rooms are not fixed?

Broken shower door. No bathroom door??????? Terrible service. I needed a blanket and had to ask three times. Wifi is less than 1 mbps in the room. You can’t do anything with it.

The hotel was OK, clean, well located near the marina but a lot of small things detracted from our five night stay. We didn’t get off to a great start. They checked ourselves and a family of four into the same room! We all showed up to unlock the door at the same time. No idea how that could have happened and the staff seem unable to figure out a solution. We got the room, sea view, and when I ran into the family later it had been sorted. Take an eye mask! They have blackout curtains but the door to the bathroom is frosted glass and there are windows in the shower and toilet with no blinds so the room gets very light in the morning. Also, it’s not a regular door, just swinging glass so I hope you and your travel companion are close. The bed doesn’t have any kind of mattress protector, just the mattress and a sheet. Never had that in a hotel before. Kinda gross. Avoid eating and drinking at the roof bar as prices are extortionate! CA$16 for a coke, same for the so called nachos. They were just a small bag of Doritos tipped into a bit of guacamole. We ate by the pool and it was a bit more reasonable. As other reviews have noted, the sea front is noisy. Like New York heavy traffic noisy! Cruising in cars and promenading on the beach is very much a thing with the locals. It’s fine with the doors closed but if you want to sit on the balcony, it can be a bit much. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic!

The hotel is clean and staff is fine, but I would expect more of an "extra" feeling from a five star hotel. The room and bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. Unfortunately the rooms have very poor noise isolasjon from the main road that goes right outside the windows. We had a room on the 2nd floor. We barely got any sleep due to the noise. When we asked about the possibility for changing roomes, the hotel was unfortunately fully booked. That's understandable, but I would at least expect a hotel of this standard to offer some ear plugs. I was surprised that the staff did not offer any sort of compensation as we where not made aware of this problem before our stay. We where on our honeymoon, and wish we had chosen a much cheaper hotel, because we do NOT feel like this was worth our money.

Our room was on the first floor of the hotel. Unfortunately, you could hear the traffic quite loudly on this floor. The noise was particularly loud at night. The hotel itself is very modern and very centrally located right on the beach. The hotel room is very large, tidy and very clean.

Only the street noise is very bad. Otherwise the hotel is excellent

Tangiers had a storm when we arrived. Room was very big and basic. Toiletries were complimentary and staff very nice. Barceló is a lovely hotel chain, but Moroccan standards of upkeep are much lower than the UK and UAE

J ai passé un très bon séjour le seul bémol a été le check in excessivement long j ai eu ma chambre a 17h. La première chambre qui m as été attribué était vraiment pas adaptée pour 3 j ai demandé a changé on m as dit que l hôtel était plein ( Mr Anas a la réception n a pas été très a l écoute) ensuite je me suis tourné vers la manager qui a gentillement trouvé une solution adaptée. Je l a remercie encore pour son sens commercial. Je suis déjà venu dans cet hôtel en novembre et bizarrement j avais un soucis avec Anas. Hasard, malchance ou acharnement je ne sais pas. Mention spéciale a Fatima au petit dej adorable et serviable.

Restaurants were out of items listed on menus and couldn’t charge meals to room because the front desk failed to authorize me to do so when checking in resulting in confusion and multiple trips to the lobby. Costs for spa and directions for calling room service not clearly marked resulting in confusion. Most of the front desk staff were unhelpful when asked for assistance. One elevator didn’t work. Nice area but overall experience in the hotel was just inconvenient.

Great place to stay, we were here for 4 nights and it had everything room service, CLEAN rooms staff are bery helpful and polite, nearby are food places alot of fast food and a few restaurants. Taxis are always around also so not kuch waiting arkund for taxi. They also did a nice surprise for my birthday with cake and fruit. A massive sports tv area downstairs where you can watch any big games so no need to worry about missing a football game either lol. Right across from the beach i would defo come back here.

For the price you pay, we had a broken AC unit in our room which we mentioned and nothing was done about it, our bathroom doors were broken and were not sliding or closing properly at all. The water pressure in the shower was very weak, during the breakfast the coffee machines were always not working properly and whenever you have a question or concern to the staff, they didn't seem to care about it. Definitely overhyped and overpriced

Bad quality of service, no respect for privacy, staff entering rooms without permission even though there was the paper do not disturb at the door, i paid 2 nights and left after one night because of the bad service, i paid for dinner and the food was bad as well, noisy hotel not worth the price at all. The can’t provide simple room service for coffee.

Staff was remarkable. Had a slight problem and the manager personally took it upon herself to meet with us and go above and beyond to help us and to make things right. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your are staying in Tangier. All staff always greeted you with a smile. Doorman went out of his way to find us a ride to a local spot. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.

Nice hotel, close to the old medina. Easily walkable and rooms are clean and comfortable. Tried calling for room service multiple times, nobody responded. Tried calling the reception numerous times and nobody answered the phone. So hotel is clean and comfortable but staff are not the most helpful.

Very nice hotel, convenient location near ancient Medina and in front of the beach. Staff was very kind and attentive. Enjoyable.

This hotel is in a premium location, walking distance from the port and marina, and the area has an ample variety of restaurants. The staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast buffet was good, and it was on the rooftop with a nice view of the shore.

The location had a great view of the coast, and the hotel had English speaking staff, which gave me a great impression. I stopped by for one night on business, so I would like to stay for more than one night next time. The view from the top floor restaurant was also amazing.

We wanted a more western style hotel after 2 weeks travelling the country and the Barcelo delivered that! The rooftop bar was lovely as well as the pool areas. Breakfast was plentiful. It was a bit far (25 minute walk) from the sites we were there to see, and the noise from the street on Saturday night (horns, yelling, talking) went on until 6:30am!!! If we were to visit Tangier again we would choose something in the old part of town. Depends on what you are looking to see and do.

Perfect location. Staff is very helpful and always ready to help. Breakfast was delicious. Only disadvantage: a lot of noise from the traffic outside, busy area.

Nice and reasonably comfortable hotel. No luxury, but clean and comfortable. The air conditioning did not work. Faces the beach, but the part of the beach facing the hotel is very dirty. I recommend walking a little further to enjoy a cleaner space.

Location is perfect right on the beach, super close to the marina, the new and old side of the city are both within walking distance , staff is super friendly, I read on the reviews before booking that you can hear street noise at night which is true, I wish they have noise blocking windows it would have made it perfect. I will still Highly recommend it .

Das Barćelo Tanger ist ein tolles Hotel mit hervorragender Lage. Hierbei muss man halt wissen, dass es direkt an einer rege befahrenen Straße liegt und die Marokkaner kaum etwas sosehr lieben beim Autofahren wie ihre Hupe. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und Balkon. Sobald wir die Balkontür geschlossen hatten, war vom Straßenlärm nichts mehr zu hören. Die Lage ist perfekt, weil man nicht nur den Strand vor der Haustür hat, sondern auch die Medina und das Ortszentrum in der Nähe sind. Das Personal ist superfreundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.

Customer service staff was terrible, they kept giving different information and then tried to blame it on us for “mishearing” when we had asked the question to 5 different employees multiple times just to be sure. Instead of trying to help they will literally argue with you and insist that it’s IMPOSSIBLE their colleagues would’ve said that, when last time i checked i’m the one who was present during those multiple conversations. The room service….do NOT waste your money, it is terrible ( literally inedible ) and comes to your room cold. Now for the rooms. The first one we had was truly trash, i refuse to believe they checked it before we came in because there is no way you would give that to a client. The sink was clogged and the toilet was leaking so the whole floor was wet, we had to insist multiple times for them to change our room. ( which btw they kept saying “yes we’ll check our room system and call you back” and of course they never did i had to physically go down and refuse to go back up when a room magically appeared in less than 1 min). Also the sea view that you pay extra for, keep in mind that you might get a huge wooden board right in the center of your “beautiful view”. The experience was terrible from start to finish to the point where i thought there was a hidden camera and i was being pranked by how ridiculous some of these situations were. The ONLY redeeming quality is the amazing cleaning staff that were so nice and tried to help as much as they could.

The personnel is kind and attentive. The place is very clean. The food at the restaurants is delicious. The rooftop is the ideal place for unwinding. It was an amazing experience! Highly recommended.
