Will definitely stay here again and will recommend friends who want to stay in Shinjuku. Check in was a breeze. Room was clean and a good size considering Japan. AC was cold, netflix was available. Bed was slightly raised so you’re able to fit luggage was a game changer for maximizing space. Walls were thick, I barely heard neighbors, only light muffles when people were passing in the hallway. Train station is 3-10 mins away depending on which line you take. Best perk of this hotel is that the limousine airport bus stop is right outside making this the best place to end our trip. Hassle free traveling. Loved staying here.

This is a Fantastic Hotel, with Fantastic staff. Whom are all polite, helpful, and courteous, regardless of the situation you find yourself in. The hotel has various amenities over several floors. ( Microwave Ovens / Washer Driers, and Vending Machines ) and the food in the Hotel is Excellent. The rooms are spacious and spotless, even the cleaning staff are polite, helpful, and courteous. The local amenities are all well within walking distance ( Shinjuku Railway Station, Various Large Department Stores, Various Small Convince Stores, Post Office, Etc ) The only thing the hotel cant guarantee is the weather, although they will supply you with umbrellas if it rains. I have stayed at this Hotel several time in the past and I will certainly stay at the "Sun Route Plaza" in the future.

Good location, easily accessible via the limousine airport bus as it stops right outside. My room was very compact but had everything I needed. Breakfast was ok. All staff were lovely. We like to have a wee night cap on returning to the hotel in the evening, but the bar was closed the first night of our stay then closed at 10pm the following nights so we went elsewhere. Quite expensive for what you get.

Very convenient location to shopping areas and the train station. If you are planning to spend more time in Shinjuku than other areas this is a good choice for hotel. There is also airport bus shuttle which stopped right at this hotel. If you have heavy luggage it is a definite plus. The luggage storage area in the lobby is inside a barrier where there were 3 staff standing by when we pick up our luggage. I feel our luggage was well taken care of.

There are combination laundry machine/ dryers on every second level and you can use your mastercard, suica card etc to operate instead of coins. Very handy, and you can watch your laundry wash/dry timer on your tv in your room so you dont have to keep checking on it. There is also vending machines on every other floor with varierty of cold drinks. They give you pyjamas and wabaki (room sandals) to use. Good experience There is a chinese food across the road and kombini stores all around. Quick walk to Shinjuku station and safe area.

The services at the check in/out or guest services were quite professional and efficient. They were dedicated to serving their guests. The amount of extras they provided in their lobby was incredible and thoughtful. (Razors, washcloths, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair creams, face creams, bath petals, etc.) It was very thoughtful to be able to turn to a tv channel to see which machines on which floors were available. There were only about 2 machines on each floor of the hotel and not every floor had a laundry room) Three major deficits were the functionality of the all in one washer/dryer unit. (It was very pricey because the dryers weren’t efficient and we continued to use coin after coin to get the clothes dry, for more than $220 per night, the rooms were TINY, even with one double bed in the room, and lastly the two restaurants inside of the hotel plaza, had very limited hours and the prices were a bit higher than they should have been. Overall, because of the pleasantness of the front desk workers, the niceness of the lobby, and the variety of the the free items in the lobby, I’d stay there again.

Will stay again! Hotel is easy to get to with airport bus. Airport bus is easy to find at the airport, there is a bus counter at airport to buy tickets. Kids can sit in parents lap. Hotel is close to shinjuku express bus station for early bus rides back to airport and by subway stations. There is a family mart across th street and 7/11 around the corner. Hotel has microwave and laundry in common areas. Laundry ranges 600yen to 300yen. Coins only and front desk can exchange yen coins. Easy to walk to shibuya and harajuku, lots to do in the area around the hotel. Rooms were clean, we had two kids and two adults and got the room with an extra twin bed but didn’t need it. The beds are big enough for two. Definitely recommend.

Hotels lobby is beautiful and looks updates. Staff are great. Easy process to check in and out. The hotel rooms and hallways are old and need an update. Room tables dressers all scratched and bathroom tubs are browning. Carpet also needs some love. Clean but needs an update.

Great location in Shinjuku. The room is pretty big for Tokyo and in good condition. They also provide tons of toiletries - even face masks, hair treatment, and sunscreen. Super complete and really thoughtful. Overall, a great choice for both convenience and comfort.

Lovely hotel, situated a short distance away from Shinjuku Station, meaning you’re a short distance away from the rest of Tokyo and Japan. Staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The location of the property is very convenient, being close to the Shinjuku station. As many have reported the automated checking process is absolutely horrible. It is convoluted and takes a lot of time. Having a person check you in is invaluable for customer relationships in the service industry.The hotel is in the service industry so why would you have an automated check in that totally removes any personal contact with the customer? The front desk is located away from the elevator elevators, so you would never see the staff while walking in. This again removes any personal element of interaction with the customer. I think this is a very bad idea. The service industry is based on customer relationship and if you remove the relationship, there is nothing With the customer. Property is located next to Shinjuku exit for Oedo line which is great, however, Other lines are further away. Shopping is approximately 15 min walk. would probably have preferred a hotel which had access to underground shopping.

If this is your first time going to Japan, you should stay at this hotel. You can ride the Airport Limousine Bus from the airport (HND or NRT) to the hotel entrance. On top of that, there's also a Family Mart, McDonald's, and multiple restaurants along the street. There's also a train station entrance just right outside the hotel to get to your planned spots. If you are planning to do one of the Klook tourist tours, the meet-up spot is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We will definitely stay at this hotel again on our next Japan trip.

Fantastic location near the Shinjuku station south concourse, very clean, nice rooms, great service from the staff, Airport Limousine Bus stops right outside, which is very convenient. We have stayed here twice now, and will book again on our next Tokyo adventure.

Hotel Sunroute is idealy located just minutes walk from Shinjuku station and bus terminal. Its also near other metro station too. So super convenient. I picked this hotel for two reasons, 1. Its location and 2. They have the Airport Limousine service right at the hotel. Yes, you have to pay the company directly but they pick you up and drop you right outside the terminal of your choice. This hotel also has a clothes recycle program, where you can donate your clothes you no longer need, which I though was a fabulous idea. Would definitely stay here again.

It was very close to the JR train station and lots of restaurants and nightlife, but still very quiet. The breakfast was excellent with many options in the buffet. The room was quite small, but there was a spacious lobby for anyone who wants to hang out at the hotel. Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant were closed during the holiday, but there were plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance.

Good location, easily accessible via the limousine airport bus as it stops right outside. My room was very compact but had everything I needed. Breakfast was ok. All staff were lovely. We like to have a wee night cap on returning to the hotel in the evening, but the bar was closed the first night of our stay then closed at 10pm the following nights so we went elsewhere. Quite expensive for what you get.

I've stayed at this hotel several times on my visits to the Shinjuku area. Of course, the best feature of this hotel is the close location and easy access to Shinjuku station. Also, it is super convenient that the airport bus picks up from here too. I am always so impressed with how quiet the rooms are, and I have never had a problem with noise from other rooms. The breakfast buffet downstairs is great value for the price. The one complaint that I have and always am not looking forward to when I stay here is the beds. They are super uncomfortable because of how thin and firm they are. Additionally, the pillows are also a bit uncomfortable. This may not seem like too much of an issue, but when jet lag happens, the one thing I need to rely on is a comfortable bed to sleep in, but unfortunately, Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku doesn't meet this expectation for me.
