White Swan Hotel

I have stayed in Guangzhou many times over the years. From now on, I will only stay at the White Swan ! Staff 12 View 12 Executive Lounge 12 They even have their own ferry, which was delightful ! Look no further -- White Swan is worth every RMB !

The White Swan hotel has upgraded and renovated over the last few years and the result is amazing: an elegantly designed, professionally and warmly run hotel, filled with art in the halls and lobby, with delicious buffet or a la carte breakfasts and other meals. There is also a tasteful bar with night views of the city across the river and a lovely outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. Beautiful rooms feature great city or river views and super comfortable beds and bedding made for great rest between outings in this huge bustling city. The hotel’s location between the river and the old European quarters called the Shamian district, brings history and contemporary life together. This area is beautifully landscaped, and is filled with cafés and shops and bronze sculptures of daily life and leisure for children and adults. I look forward to returning. The only recommendation I have is that the front desk staff should know what a cultural treasure of international quality the modern museum right across the river is and have information, especially for foreign guests, about the small ferry from Ma Tou - a five minute walk from the hotel’s 1st floor entrance - which, for 2 yuan, takes one right across the river to the museum (which is three museums on one). Thank you, White Swan’s excellent staff, from bellboys and concierge, to front desk and restaurant staff and housekeeping.

Excellent location by the river. Swim pool, fitness center and spa are next to hotel with beautiful river view. The room are large and clean. The hotel staffs are all very friendly and greet you with smiles.

Nice river view and fantastic restaurants and bars in the hotel

Love this hotel .very nice area .stunning room. Only issue the service around the pool is nearly non existant as bar is closed and u can ask for a very limited choice of drinks

White Swan is my #1 choice whenever I visit the Canton Fairs (both the Spring and the Autumn Shows). The hotel provides a free shuttle and boat ride to the exhibition hall directly daily during the fairs. The meal options during the fair have been nothing but extraordinary! The hotel staff, as well as their service, are superb as well! I highly recommend this hotel to all the visitors to Canton, both on business and for personal leisure.

Room looks very clean. However the the sauna , steam room and shower place are so dirty and terrible. Never clean . People are smoking the change room arear .

Hotel organizzato bene ma con ristoranti troppo costosi. La camera era piccola e la pulizia troppo approssimativa.

十幾年後再次入住，房間浴室設備還可以，職員表示已給予景觀夠好及安靜的房間，但隔音效果仍不好，聽到打樁、小朋友叫聲、背景音樂等。房門離床僅兩步。

An excellent hotel with excellent concierges services. They helped us booking the train tickets and provided us very useful information about the local areas. I specifically wanted to thank Mr. Chen who assisted our transportation to another hotel with 5 big pieces of luggages. It’s little hard to find big car in that hotel area without pre booking. So his help was much appreciated!

The White Swan should be an icon of Guangzhou, but my experience was deeply disappointing. Service was slow and unprofessional, dining staff came across as rude, and I was bitten by mosquitoes countless times. For such a renowned hotel, better service and proper pest control are urgently needed.

Ben at the reception who greeted us warmly was trying very hard to find us a quiet room. In the end, he upgraded us to a better room. Our room was spacious, very clean with comfy beds and well appointed furnishings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the White Swan.

There was an issue with the electronics in my room and the staff resolved it promptly.

Exceptional hotel with outstanding service. Hotel is well-maintained, rooms are clean, and the ambience is excellent.

The lobby staff, Horace Chen, 陈灏，is very proactive and friendly. He helped me order a taxi and loaded my luggages to the taxi. He kept me informed about the taxi status. I relaxed and comfortably waited at the lobby lounge area.

It is all base level of a 5 star hotel, nothing wrong but also nothing exceeding. There are so many new hotels presenting better options, sadly white swan has no advantage or selling point anymore. On the new year day, I made a phone call to reception and started the conversation with “happy new year”. The girl did not say anything back, that is a very good example of the level of service now.

This is historic hotel. I stayed here 30 years ago and came back, did not feel any aging. Amazing place and location. Will stay here again for next trip.

Beautiful property. Great location

The hotel was very clean and comfortable to live in. The deluxe rooms were nice and had a huge bathroom. The views were also fantastic. In terms of living conditions, cleanliness, and hotel staff I have no complaints. The only thing is that it is not a very convenient location as there are limited dining options and the food within the hotel is very pricey. The closest train station is at least 10 minutes away making it harder to go to other areas.

I love the convenience and the quietness of the hotel. The service is prompt, and the staff is helpful to my family during our stay. Thank you.

We stayed here with my parents (who grew up in this city) and my kids. The hotel accommodated two adjoining rooms for us, with river views. We loved the beautiful property, pool, spa area, modern touches. The staff members were exceptional. Because it's on an island, the only thing that was inaccessible was public transportation, but taxis are very easy to get and the staff is helpful with that.

The location is perfect and convenient for travel, and the environment is very relaxing and feels like a vacation. The hotel has a high level of service and is clean. The staff's quality was all good.

The resort exceeded our already high expectations with its beautiful and calming lobby, kind and attentive staff, and wonderful facilities. We tried most of the restaurants (Jade River, Flavors of China, Hongtu Hall, and the Deli shop) and they were all wonderful. The internet connection was very fast and supports international usage. The location is also amazing because it's near very high quality restaurants along the historic streets and its very convenient to walk to cafes or the mall nearby.

I really enjoy my stay at the White Swan Hotel. The staff provided very courteous & excellent services. The breakfast buffet & the Chinese dim sum lunch & Chinese fine dining are all excellent & delicious. The room I stayed is very clean & very comfortable. I will return to stay there for sure.

Everything is good except that the Chinese restaurant charge for tea per person almost as expensive as wine

it’s still the same issue. dining room staff need to be trained to compete with other fine dining restaurant. Had dinner at the jade river restaurant and tried the tasting menu and wasn’t too impressed. staff needed to be told to change the plates. very friendly but need to be more attentive. comparing with the fine dinner I had at the Grand Hyatt, jade river’s food and service and way way behind
