Good breakfast with pleasant staff. Room was clean and nice size. Good central location and next to train station for easy day trips. Hotel is old but in great condition and has wonderful charm, especially the elevator. Was also nice to use the rooftop terrace and bar at the related hotel next door. Restaurant's in the area are great but the restaurant in the hotel was very nice also if you don’t want to leave. Would definitely stay again.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, so dass Stadt und Hafen gut zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Das Hotel bietet Parkmöglichkeiten für 28 EUR an. Wir haben einen Upgrade für das 5 Sterne Hotel bekommen. Waren mit Zimmer, Frühstücken und Lobby sehr zufrieden. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass für Pool/Spa zusätzlich Gebühr bezahlt werden muss.

Bon emplacement pour visiter la ville. Vue depuis la chambre moyenne. Accueil et réception agreable et disponible. Seul bemol: toutes les prestations mentionnees sont en surplus.. 25€ pour le parking, 30€ pour l acces au spa, 15€ pour le petit-déjeuner.

Wir kamen in den Genuss auf das benachbarte Hotel umgebucht zu werden, da es zu einer Überbuchung gekommen ist. Somit kann ich das Continental nicht bewerten, dafür aber das Grand Hotel Savio. Besonders gut hat uns die Frühstücksterrasse gefallen. Man hat einen herrlichen Blick auf den Hafen und Teile der Altstadt. Da kann man schon mal die Zeit vergessen und länger sitzen 😃. Das Personal war immer freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstück war immer sehr lecker und die Auswahl reichhaltig. Ein absolutes muss ist die Aprikosentarte. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Es uns lediglich ein Schrank oder der gleichen gefehlt, um die Sachen zu verstauen. Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen und kann es für einen Aufenthalt in Genua nur empfehlen. Von dort kann man die Umgebung (Altstadt, Alter Hafen, Aquarium usw.) und den Küstenstreifen gut erkunden. Auch gute Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir können das gegenüber sehr empfehlen.

Convenient to Principe train station. Very cool bar and lounge area accessed by first floor corridor to next hotel. If you need handrails in bathtub, go elsewhere. Bathtub is very tall and may be hard to get into. No slip-prevention mat inside the tub.

Super beliggenhet rett ved togstasjonen. Fantastisk takterrasse med nydelig utsikt og gode cocktails. Frokost på takterrassen var fantastisk. Godt utvalg og god frokost. Rommet var litt lite, uten utsikt og bærer preg av at det er et gammelt hotell, men likevel veldig koselig og rent. Fint resepsjonsområde og utmerket service!

Hôtel avec vue sur la place de la gare, situation pratique mais très bruyant pour les chambres donnant sur la rue. Pour celles donnant sur la cour intérieure, le bruit des ventilations extérieures oblige à dormir avec la fenêtre fermée. Ascenseur très ancien, restant bloqué une fois sur deux. Chambres propres, certaines très petites, lits confortables, salle de bain avec produits douche, sèche-cheveux. Bouilloire dans la chambre avec café et thé à disposition. Buffet de petit déjeuner assez varié mais mesures d'hygiène lacunaires, aucun flacon de gel désinfectant auprès du buffet. Personnel sympathique au petit-déjeuner. Dans l'ensemble, nous garderons une impression mitigée de cet hôtel, trop cher par rapport aux prestations.

My sister and I stayed for 4 nights and were upgraded to Grand Hotel Savoia on arrival. The hotel itself was very nice and in a good location. The bar and restaurant staff were amazing- 10/10 good service. However, our bed was not clean- it was like the maids never changed the sheets before we arrived. There was something all over the sheets. The reception suggested that me and my sister put new sheets on ourselves.. rather than immediately working to fix the disgusting issue. This was not 5 star service and it was the hotels fault for giving us a dirty bed!! Eventually they did change our sheets but this experience made us feel gross. The cleaning service during our stay was absolutely horrible. The maids took our room garbage out once during our entire stay and the garbage can was overflowing. They also never cleaned the floors. Lastly, a staff member at the hotel took my sisters shirt out of our room. We had our belongings locked in our suitcase or the hotel safe except for her shirt which disappeared. We searched and searched for the shirt and it was no where in our room. We notified the front desk and they offered to ask the cleaning staff about it and then offered a refund if they couldn’t locate the shirt. We went for an evening walk and when we returned the shirt was magically on the bed.. the hotel did not offer an apology and we felt like this was mishandled. We felt disrespected about the lack of communication but grateful to get the shirt back.…

We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Continental. The hotel itself is beautiful and we had a fabulous room facing the station with the most comfortable bed. Despite the busy area, the room was very quiet with the insulated windows. Location was very convenient as we arrived by train. We were able to walk around Genova from the hotel and had a lovely meal only a few doors away. Breakfast included was plentiful. Staff were very friendly. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Thank you.

This was a beautiful, grand old hotel, very close to the station. It’s connected to the Hotel Savoie next door, which is another gem. Room was beautiful large with a well appointed bathroom. One complaint from this spoiled American is that the AC in the room didn’t work as well as expected!

The hotel is lovely. The room was very nice however was on the first floor near the stairs for the lobby. Because of proximity to the lobby and restaurant, it wasnt quite as quiet as i would have preferred. However i would stay again..very nice for the price. Just dont want that room.

Arrived for a 6-day business trip and this property did not have the air conditioning turned on in May. Normally not a huge deal, but I was spending most every day - all day - in my room working; and it was warm and stuffy. Fortunately I was moved to a room that didn’t get as much sun and wasn’t as warm/stuffy, but no a/c - when the amenities show a/c - is bad form. I asked to leave and go to another property for my remaining 5 nights but they would not agree to a no-fee cancellation. The property was good and the staff were fine and the area is super convenient, but no a/c and no flexibility ruined it for me. Sorry…

We saw other pizzas that were better dressed, they should reconsider the amount of product used having said that we understand that it Italy pizzas are made with less toppings that are given in North America where there are too many toppings. When it came time to pay we expressed our displeasure with the quality of the pizza and he gave us a 10% discount which was unacceptable. All the while as this was happening a gentleman who appeared to be the manager was having his meal and observing the happenings in the dining room where the service for the other guests was also slow. He was giving some direction to the server and helper but made no effort to touch tables. Very disappointing meal. Our breakfast the next day in the same restaurant was very good with a great selection of offerings. Staff was very good specific kudos to the Floor Manager Sorina who was excellent speaking to all guests…she should run the dinner service here!

This is not a 5 star hotel—I have stayed at 5 star hotels across the globe and the thing that always stands out at those properties is the staff and service. The staff, especially at the front desk are not interested in providing excellent service. I’ve had friendlier experiences at Chick Fil A!

Inside the hotel was pretty and almost a throw back to 1930’s. The staff hardly spoke English but we were in their country 😊. The area around it is so hard to drive through and if you walk around it was one of the worst neighborhoods we have seen on our entire trip.

Good breakfast with pleasant staff. Room was clean and nice size. Good central location and next to train station for easy day trips. Hotel is old but in great condition and has wonderful charm, especially the elevator. Was also nice to use the rooftop terrace and bar at the related hotel next door. Restaurant's in the area are great but the restaurant in the hotel was very nice also if you don’t want to leave. Would definitely stay again.

The location couldn’t be any better! It’s right outside of Genova Piazza Principe train station which makes it very convenient to travel from one city to the other by train while we were on vacation. It’s also within walking distance to the tourist attractions. The hotel lounge is beautifully decorated in Christmas theme and the hotel is full of old world charm but very clean and updated at the same time. I definitely will stay here again if I come back to Genova for a visit.

Ich erhielt ein Upgrade zum Schwesterhotel Savoi in Genua. Ich war früher ca. 12:30 Uhr dort und konnte ohne Probleme ins Zimmer. Sehr freundliches Personal beim Check-in und im abendlichen Restaurant! Sehr sauberes Zimmer mit aller Ausstattung. Super gutes und frisches Frühstück. Kostenfreies W-LAN. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Super beliggenhet rett ved togstasjonen. Fantastisk takterrasse med nydelig utsikt og gode cocktails. Frokost på takterrassen var fantastisk. Godt utvalg og god frokost. Rommet var litt lite, uten utsikt og bærer preg av at det er et gammelt hotell, men likevel veldig koselig og rent. Fint resepsjonsområde og utmerket service!

Loved this hotel. We were travelling through Italy by train and stopped off here for a couple of nights. Handily right outside station with plenty of restaurants around. Recently refurbished to a high standard.
