Alpine Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, and speak good English. The breakfast is an excellent buffet, augmented by Prosecco and smoked salmon on the Sunday morning we were there. The indoor pool is 17x8 mètres and very few people used it during our stay; a great way to exercise. They block off 2 hours in the afternoon for children the other sessions are mostly adults only The hotel’s situation in the very center of Wengen is really good for going shopping. If it is hot, ask reception for a fan, and ask the room staff to leave the curtains closed when they make up the bed in the morning. Otherwise the rooms can get very hot in the afternoon sun. You also need to ask réception for the key to the old style safe box in the room, it isn’t given as a matter of course. We did not try the restaurant for an evening meal, nor the bar, because there were better choices in the local area. Overall definitely a strong recommendation and we would go back there.

The views from the room were absolutely beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the spa areas were phenomenal. The sauna, steam room, and pool were amazing after hiking all day. The whole building feels very aesthetic to the surrounding mountain areas, while still being luxurious. The hotel is a very short walk from the train station, and right on a central road. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to the Jungfrau region.

Great location in Wegen. Very close to the railway and cable car stations. Lovely pool and Spa which was great for relaxing after a long day’s sightseeing and walk! Lively bar.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Our only feedback would be to limit the pool to adults only. Several times there were rowdy kids in the pool while we were there that ruined the spa experience for us.

This is a wonderful, charming hotel in Wengen. It is an easy train ride from Lauterbrunnen. The gondola to Männlichen is right across the street.There is a Coop grocery nearby and a great takeaway restaurant steps away. The room was very spacious with a 1 queen bed and a set of bunks with black out curtains. The view of the Alps from the balcony was stunning. There was a lovely spa included with the stay that had a swiming pool, steam room, sauna and outdoor fire pit. The only negative thing I can say is that the spa closed at 8pm, so we missed it on our first night. We loved staying at this hotel.

The family room was perfect for our family of 4. Kids loved the bunk beds with privacy curtains, the arcade in the room was lots of fun and the views of the lauterbrunnen valley and mountains were spectacular. The location of the hotel was extremely convenient to the train station. The pool area was fantastic and we just wished it was open later than 8pm

Excellent location in the beautiful quaint town of Wengen. The hotel staff was friendly and helped answer any questions we had about excursions in the surrounding areas. The hotel bar was a nice spot to unwind each night. The room was spacious and very clean with an excellent view. We will definitely come back when we return to Switzerland again!

My stay here far exceeded my expectations and I did wonder whether there was anything else I would suggest, but there was nothing I would add. As a solo traveller I found the hotel to be very accommodating and would return here with friend and family. The breakfast was good and had options for different dietary requirements, although if you’re vegan it may be worth double checking ingredients with the team. Everyone was so well mannered and helpful. At times, it felt like I was using the facilities for the first time as they were so clean. There is no air conditioning but I didn’t find this to be a problem at all in warmer weather as the room stayed quite cool naturally. The spa was barely used and I found the experience so peaceful. Well done to the team here!

Amazing property for families. Boys loved the bunk beds and the arcade game. Only downside was it was a bit too hot the first night although there was a floor fan in the room. I would recommend putting in a proper ceiling fan for the hot summer nights. Would absolutely stay again!!

This was the most amazing property. The rooms are all very different and we did have an issue on our first night with noise and the room temperature (it was unseasonably hot and there is no AC). We were moved to a new room in the same category that was so amazing. Would stay again, great spot and wonderful spa area!

I stayed at Braubar 4 nights and would absolutely stay there again. Highly recommend. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was fantastic with a large deck with a beautiful view. Comfy bed, large bathroom, nespresso maker. It was convenient to have the buffet for breakfast prior to heading out to explore. Convenient location in the heart of Wengen.

This is a wonderful, charming hotel in Wengen. It is an easy train ride from Lauterbrunnen. The gondola to Männlichen is right across the street.There is a Coop grocery nearby and a great takeaway restaurant steps away. The room was very spacious with a 1 queen bed and a set of bunks with black out curtains. The view of the Alps from the balcony was stunning. There was a lovely spa included with the stay that had a swiming pool, steam room, sauna and outdoor fire pit. The only negative thing I can say is that the spa closed at 8pm, so we missed it on our first night. We loved staying at this hotel.

Had a great stay this week in Wengen. Would definitely recommend staying here. The rooms have refrigerators which they stock daily with soft drinks for free. Nice touch.

I know that Switzerland is expensive, but generally you do get good quality for your money. Unfortunately in this hotels case the rooms are really starting to show their age and are in need of a refresh. The hotel is well located and with a bit of updating could be a great option, but until then I couldn’t recommend. I would spend a bit more and go to a slightly more modern hotel. The staff were generally fine, however the checkin staff were rather short with us.

Friendly staff. Excellent included breakfasts. Stunning views from rooms. Valuable transfer service by golf cart from train station to the hotel when carrying luggage. Very nice indoor pool. Bar food could be improved. Several good dining options within a short walk and across the street from the ski lift to the peak. Comfortable beds and clean rooms.

It was a beautiful hotel right in the centre of Wengen. Perfect location to the train station. The breakfast was very good and plenty. A good variety of food. There was plenty of staff. And all very friendly and helpful. Anita who checked us in was very efficient and helpful. The spa and pool were an added bonus and we loved it ~ Close to the Manlichen cable car across the road.

If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would. The breakfast was beyond amazing. The staff were so friendly and the hotel was convenient to the cable cars and train. You couldn’t ask for anything better.

The property and rooms are clean and modern with tasteful, bookstore characteristics and friendly front desk staff. Unfortunately their in house restaurant "Goldlockchen"is not so great..it was quite horrble actually. It literally made my dining partner physically ill after we had our meal there. Also, our server seemed like he'd rather be anywhere else but at work, maybe he was having a bad day(?) We spent 2 glorious weeks in Switzerland and this was the only bad experience we had. So, aside from this really awful restaurant, our stay at the actual Braunbar Hotel was very nice!

The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the pool and steam room. Our biggest issue was the dinner. The food was bland and not good. We had purchased half board but ended up going somewhere else for dinner on our last night because we couldn’t stomach having dinner in the hotel again. That said, the breakfast buffet was great and we did enjoy that part of the stay. Overall, we would stay here again but not eat dinner at the on site restaurant.
