Nice infrared sauna and impeccable views.

The hotel is very well maintained and is ideally for a short term stay! We stayed for a night in the standard room - The room itself is modern - a coffee or tea maker would have been great to have. Also, the restroom didn’t have a vent, just an opening above and below the door which was kinda surprising. The gym is small and the infrared light cabin wasn’t working. The Sauna was the best part of the SPA area. Also, the hotel served breakfast in the morning which had everything we would ask for! Overall it is a good hotel with a magnificent view of the lake and mountains! Would definitely come again and maybe try to stay at the superior room!

Double-Plus is the spectacular view A key minus is no front desk or which means if you have any questions or requests such as extending your stay, you're out of luck. I desperately hope this does not catch on as a trend at hotels. Another minus is that there is no parking right next to the hotel - you must figure out a way to squeeze your car next to the lobby if you have heavy bags to unload but then move your car to the parking lot a fair way down the hill, which would not be pleasant to walk to and from in inclement weather, or if one had mobility issues and was traveling alone. Aside from those, though, again,the view is spectacular.

Das Hotel hat klar unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Auch beim Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis bekommt man hier weit mehr fürs Geld als bei einem Hotel in Walenstadt, welche überteuert sind. Auch wenn dieses Hotel nicht als Biker-Hotel bekannt ist, ist die Infrastruktur für Biker besser als in jedem anderen Hotel, in welchem wir bislang als Bilker waren.

Beautiful, clean airport, no reception so laurel tricky to get any extra information but very comfortable, great views, spa area, very comfortable. We were only there for 1 night but would have loved to have stayed for more.

We stayed here for our wedding, and the hotel was not very accommodating. The hotel is by a bus stop, but the area is VERY secluded, and the bus doesn’t run very late. There’s no restaurants in town, and the hotel restaurant wasn’t open the 2 days we stayed. The staff was not present at all, and was not able to call us a cab. We had to walk up the mountain several times with a STEEP incline. No shuttle either. The worst part was the beds were hard as rocks, and the pillows were paper thin. We had asked for extra pillows, and the “staff” said services were limited. Also says there’s a spa, but the only spa is the sauna… on the bright side, the views were beautiful, hotel was clean, and breakfast was decent.

Sehr schöne Lage, ruhig und dennoch verkehrsgünstig. Schneller, einfacher Check-in. Schönes, sauberes Zimmer mit Balkon und toller Aussicht auf den See. Oben kleiner Fitness- und Wellnessbereich. Negativ: Die Kirchenglocken sind wirklich recht laut, also besser Zimmer zur anderen Seite wählen. Sauna in den Sommermonaten nur bis 21:00Uhr verfügbar, ist etwas wenig. Ansonsten für ein paar Nächte absolut zu empfehlen. Komme gerne wieder vorbei.

The staff was extremely friendly. The property was clean. We had an incredible view of the water. Enough staff spoke English that we were able to accomplish everything we needed to with minimal complications. The breakfast buffet was delicious.

The hotel is situated up the hillside above Unterterzen- you would probably need a car but there is an hourly bus service from just outside the hotel. Walking down to the village is fine takes about 10/15 mins but wouldn’t fancy the walk back up.The hotel itself is pretty new, standard rooms aren’t huge but comfortable and have a balcony. Good shower and there is a fridge in the room, however no kettle or coffee machine. Coffee is available at a charge from a machine in reception. People have complained about the church bells but they never bothered us (there are ear plugs supplied). Main issue with the room for U.K. travellers is only one socket accepts U.K. adaptors - you might want to bring EU type plugs for charging phones etc. As other travellers have noted there is no manned reception, checking in was fine but there aren’t a lot of staff around if there was an issue (there is a phone number to call). Also staff aren’t that fluent in English. The restaurant is based in the older conference centre side of the hotel, we only had breakfast which had a reasonable selection although I was disappointed in the muesli selection. There is an adjacent garden area with seating where we’d have a coffee after breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also available. The other thing to note is there are a lot of flies around- this seems to be an issue in the area not just the hotel.

Gute Lage und schöne, großzügige und moderne Zimmer (wir hatten die Junior-Suite). Lediglich ist das Haus ein wenig hellhörig.

Modernes Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Es war sehr warm im Zimmer und es gab keine Klimaanlage. Ebenso war es an einem Abend laut (Hochzeit). Am Morgen wird man von der Kirche nebenan um 6 Uhr geweckt. Das Licht im Bad kann man nicht ausschalten (Sensor), man muss warten bis es ausgeht.

The heating did not work for hours (pretty much from check-in to 10pm) despite repeated contact with reception and multiple attempts to fix it. It was winter and the room was uncomfortably cold for most of the afternoon/evening. There is no personnel on-site so you need to call a hotline. They just said it would be fixed “within an hour”, which didn’t happen. I was told to pick up an extra duvet, which obviously doesn’t solve the problem, given it was negative temperatures in the Swiss mountains. A portable heater was only provided late in the evening and the main heating was finally restored afterwards. What made it worse was the lack of available staff / support to handle a basic issue quickly. I requested a refund and it was refused. Disappointing handling of a fundamental/basic expectation in a winter hotel stay.

Modern, unkompliziert und angenehm überraschend Der Aufenthalt war angenehm anders, als man es von klassischen Hotels kennt. Der Check-in erfolgte komplett kontaktlos über ein Terminal – schnell, intuitiv und zuverlässig. Trotz des fehlenden Personals vor Ort hat alles reibungslos funktioniert, was ich in dieser Form noch nicht erlebt habe. Das Zimmer war modern, sehr sauber und funktional eingerichtet. Die ruhige Atmosphäre und das bequeme Bett haben für erholsame Nächte gesorgt. Besonders positiv fiel die gute Organisation und klare Kommunikation im Vorfeld auf – alle wichtigen Infos wurden rechtzeitig per E-Mail oder direkt am Terminal bereitgestellt. Ein weiteres Highlight war das Frühstück: sehr gut, frisch und vielfältig, mit hochwertigen Produkten und einer ansprechenden Auswahl. Trotz des automatisierten Konzepts war der Frühstücksbereich gemütlich und gut organisiert. Insgesamt ein durchdachtes, smartes Konzept, das überzeugt. Ideal für alle, die unkompliziert reisen und Wert auf Effizienz und Qualität legen. Ich war positiv überrascht und würde jederzeit wieder buchen.

Das Hotel ist schön und gepflegt mit toller Aussicht. Leider ist die Kirchenglocke wirklich sehr Laut und penetrant. Das Zimmer kann nicht gekühlt werden, resp. wir haben nicht verstanden wie wir klimatisieren könnten und der Parkplatz ist relativ weit weg.

We spent one night here whilst touring around Switzerland. It’s a lovely hotel on the side of a hill overlooking Lake Walensee. Hotel is in good order. As with virtually all hotels in Switzerland, there is no air conditioning so it is recommended to take a mini fan with you if visiting in the middle of summer.
