Guest reviews

What guests think

AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

Shilo Inn Hotel & Suites - Yuma draws mixed reviews, with guests frequently praising its friendly staff, large rooms, and convenient location by the freeway, shopping, and restaurants, but noting an older property with inconsistent upkeep and amenities. Many report the pool and hot tub are often closed, dirty, or not working, with sauna/steam and gym equipment also unreliable. Cleanliness and maintenance are mixed, ranging from clean, comfortable rooms to peeling wallpaper, stains, odors, and missing or worn items. Breakfast is minimal or unavailable despite some listings, though dining options are nearby. Expect a budget stay with friendly service in a dated setting.

Stayed 1 night

My 2 night stay was "okay." First of all, I want to say the front desk staff was fabulous! It was a quiet stay. BUT... Be forewarned that the property is in DIRE need of many updates. When I first arrived, the air conditioner in my room was NOT on, so my room was EXTREMELY HOT (estimated 90° plus) and it took a LONG TIME to cool down. (Maybe have hotel housekeeping go to the room and turn on the air conditioner prior to the guest arriving, so the guest is comfortablewhen they arrive?) Needless to say, I didn't sleep well my first night due to being hot. The air conditioning in the hotel itself was not working (and hasn't been working for several months), so the trek from the lobby to my room was extremely HOT, including the lobby, hallways, and elevator. The temperature outside was 110°+, so the temperature inside the hotel was ballpark 90-95°! This is just not acceptable. Please do better, hotel owners/operators.

The person at front desk is polite and doing his job. The hotel is abandoned. Dark hallways, hot hallways, hot elevators, old and dilapidated. Once a beautiful property but scary and would not recommend anybody staying. Needs serious renovation.

Older place, not as well maintained, but the room was clean and the staff was nice. Good value.
