Adult pool area is great. Needs to be better. Restaurants were ok. Not top notch. Villas were not top notch. Carpetting stained. 2 times no hot water in shower. VERY long walk to central building/market restaurants/pools. Huge property. Very long walks. Self parking for patrons should be closer than valet lots.

We had a great time at the Omni Resort. It was sad to leave after the three days we stayed there. The staff has been great. From the check in, to the pool, kids club and the market place. Sienna who worked there several days when we ate at the Market was so attentive and friendly and made a clear difference. Room was nice and clean and the overall resort and amenities were great. 5/5 stars from us !!!

Really lovely hotel; so many great amenities just lookout for: 1) some of the rooms are old and dated and 2) it is $40 a night to self park and parking can be very far from your room!

Huge property. Great decor. Not a golfer, but the golf course looked incredible. Adults’ only pool was nice. Bob’s Steakhouse was delicious. Morning buffet at the bar was excellent.

Beautiful grounds. Extremely busy in the family pool areas to the point where it was gross. Luckily there were other pool options that were beautiful and mellow. Property is extremely large, have to take golf carts around via valet, but the staff was super responsive. Parking and directions to the room were a pain after a long travel day, but easy once we found everything

Great service from the moment we drove on property to the moment we left. I stayed here w my wife and two small kids. We enjoyed the pool, restaurants, market place and grounds of the resort greatly. I played 18 on the south course and really enjoyed my time. Course was in great shape, pace was perfect and the golf staff was super friendly. Highly recommend this property.

It was a last minute decision for an over night stay. Everyone seemed to be having so much fun! There is an adult pool, kids pool with a huge slide and a splash pad for the little ones. I enjoyed our stay so much that I booked a suite for my kids and their children next month.

We found black mold in the shower. In the middle grout area where the white grout is, kinda gross and would expect more from a nicer resort. This was a weekend staycation for us for our anniversary. We realize the rooms get turned around and cleaned for upcoming guests but every now and then they should inspect rooms for stuff like that.

The property is stunning. The views, atmosphere, and cleanliness are 10/10. You can walk around at night and feel safe. I would say service is 2/10. I was trying to ask an employee where I could find pool towels stating I brought mine from my room but wanted the ones she’s was grabbing to clean, she rudely said “idk what you’re asking”. (She was white). I tried to ask another server where I could order food from the pool, she said I could ask my server. I asked who my server was, she said it was close to 5:30pm and should order at the bar area (rather than taking my order or finding out who was my server— she was also white). Every other employee who was Mexican greeted me so Politely. Will also add the Asian girl at the ice cream shop did a better job by letting me know where I could find a local cute beach. I will add this place had the best burger we’ve had in a while. So 10/10 on the burger. Would come back but for the service and awful interactions. Maybe they would’ve treated me better if I said I was a lawyer? Who knows. Will definitely have to think twice about it.

For a water activity hotel, this place is actually disgusting. There is legitimately mold, and green fungus growing on the steps of the slide. There is yellow and green algae growing in the pool. Omni is known for being a family friendly hotel, which means there's a lot of kids. The cleanliness, and upkeep of the pool is disgusting ! I have plenty of pictures of the fungus growing.

Our stay at Omni La Costa was truly memorable. The property itself is stunning lush gardens, vibrant flowers, incredible views, and an abundance of amenities for both kids and adults. Whether you’re looking to relax or stay active, there’s something for everyone. The food was also fantastic, and service throughout the resort was warm and welcoming. That said, the room itself was a bit of a letdown. Upon entering, we noticed a strong, musty odor, almost like mildew or that it hadn’t been aired out in a while. It gave the impression that the room had been closed up for some time. The balcony chairs were ripped, with exposed cushions that looked weathered and worn, which took away from the otherwise relaxing outdoor space. The beds were comfortable, and it was convenient being so close to the pool, but the room could definitely use some updates and better upkeep. Overall, we had an amazing time at the resort, and I would recommend it but I do hope they address some of the room maintenance issues to match the high quality of the rest of the property.

Beautiful but staff needs to do a better job cleaning the rooms. My room upon arrival had hair in the floor and shower. My children also went to the pool and the next day contracted a pink eye.

First time at Omni La Costa; but, not the first time to this area of Carlsbad, Ca. Room decor was up-to-date; but the wing was an older building. Walls between units are thin. Still had a solid nights sleep each night. You will be charged $40-60/night for parking on the property. Street parking is scarce and discouraged. I don’t like this practice. Parking should be included.

The grounds were beautiful but the rooms need updating. We paid for an upgraded Villa room which was ok but the basic rooms looked really bad. The first room we had the AC didn’t work so we had to move. Refrigerator was extremely old and didn’t cool well. I’ve maker didn’t work and our patio door handle fell off. Not worth the price paid and pretty disappointing for an Omni.

This property is good but needs some updating. Our room had fogged glass in the French doors to the patio and the doors were in poor shape. I can only assume that most doors on the other rooms are more or less the same.

The cleaning staff did great. Property is further back so nice and quiet. I disliked the self-parking, it was far, I had to open the car door to get in and out as the sensor is poor. I hated the bathroom door, it offers no privacy.

Such a beautiful resort. The grounds were just stunning. Got upgraded to a villa and the room was so awesome. Came with a full kitchen, big patio area and even washer and dryer in unit. The pools were so much fun, but enjoyed the villa pools the most. Staff was always so friendly and helpful. We never wanted to leave! Will definitely be back!

This property is simply beautiful! The trees and flowers are in abundance everywhere you look, and are very well maintained all throughout the large property. We stayed in a suite which had been recently renovated (2024), and it was truly lovely. Large room, well appointed, view of pools, very clean and well maintained. All the staff we encountered were very professional and delivered wonderful service.

I want to love this place. My room was very dusty behind the tv, on the desk on top of the headboard and the couch in the living room smelled like it needed a good cleaning. I notified management and they were very responsive but just disappointing this isn't the expected standard. The service in lobby bar slow, lots of people milling around but waited for 20 minutes until someone even acknowledged our party.

We had a lovely one night stay here. All of the staff, from the front desk to the valets to the restaurant staff, were all so kind, hospitable, and friendly. We were treated very well, above and beyond, leaving us with a wonderful impression of the resort and making us want to return.

Loved the pool options, food, villa rooms. The service was 10/10 all around!! I was underwhelmed by the phone communication - it was impossible to connect with anyone just calling in. Mold on slides in the kids pool could have used a clean.

I would never stay at this resort ever again. Terrible experience from beginning to end. I paid over 1,000 for our room. It was completely paid for upon check in. Gabby in front desk asked for credit card for possible damages, but I forgot my credit card and only had my debit card. She explained that if I pay with debit I would not receive the 200$ damages deposit back. After I explained my disappointment in this she proceeded to say “200$ is not much. It’s only 200$” I found the comment to be so out of touch and inappropriate. The other manager Marina was of no help either. I had a picture of the credit card and they refused to help at all. Once the situation was settled all Gabby did was give us room keys. Didn’t explain where any amenities were. Was rude and condescending. We get to the room and it doesn’t have any towels as well as filthy. On our check out date we got scolded by valet parking employee after telling him he never gave us any sort of tag for one of the cars we brought. It is the WORST resort I have stayed at in my life.

The staff everywhere was so cool and super friendly. There was a boy at the pool name Chad that went ABOVE AND BEYOND for our big family. Also the ppl at the front desk was super nice as well. We were there for soccer and we had no where to go after check out, so they gave us late check out. We were truly satisfied with our visit and will FOR SURE be staying here every time we play at Surf Sports Park.

Great service, with one exception at our initial seating in the bar where it took too long for our server to acknowledge us and take our order. Amazing team on both shifts for the front desk and Kidtopia. Awesome family pools and water slide options. Delicious food, reasonable value. Cocktails are a bit pricey. Did not get a chance to golf this time, but the course looks to be in great shape.

When we arrived we were told there was an issue with their system transferring our reservation from their PMB into their system. We waited over 45 minutss. After this time we were told that the mistake resulted in they had no rooms for us. After going online and seeing rooms available she magically found 1 king bed room (we had booked a 2 bed suite) but had no rooms for our next night. When i showed her online showed they had rooms she magically found a room the next night but id have to move out of my room at 11 and check back in to a new room the next day and have no room for 5 hours. After two hours of this and being lied to by management we left and will never come back. This would habe been our 5th stay at the property.

The accommodations were very nice and the staff are friendly, however keep in mind this is a HUGE resort. If you have trouble walking (a lot) to get to the pool, lobby, etc. this might not be the best place for you. Parking is another major issue. It can be really far from your room - leaving you to have to valet (which you still need to hike to the valet station by the lobby). The food was mid. I've stayed at other Omni's such as Palm Desert where the pool food was great - not that awesome here and very expensive ($17 for a dollop of guacamole). Also - I love Omni resorts, with the exception of their louvered door concept in the bathrooms! Even the master bedroom in the suite had a louvered door to separate the living room, making whispers sound loud enough to hear. No bathroom door, especially to a toilet closet, should have a louvered door concept. If you don't know the person intimately before the trip - you will after! LOL. They just did a major renovation, they should have redesigned this concept.

Overall our stay was great. The golf cart shuttle to and from your room after breakfast, pool, dinner etc, was an awesome amenity. A portion of the golf course was under construction so we didn’t have the greatest view while in our room. The bed was on the softer side and was not great for my back and after check in the first night, we found a nice little spider on the comforter waiting to greet us- eek. There was a weird sulfur type smell that seemed to be coming from the drain in the shower- wasn’t sure if that was due to construction, but it wasn’t a pleasant smell while showering. The pools were fun, my son loved the water slides. The pool side service was great. The entire staff was amazing- overall a great trip. Would suggest a mattress upgrade and addressing the water smell in the room.

All inclusive resort, beautiful property beautiful landscaping could stay in the grounds the entire weekend. Definitely the best location in Carlsbad to stay for a weekend or longer.

Really love the Omni La Costa. Amazing property. Staff was amazing. Vue has great food. Only knock on it is that it is 2025 and they don’t have car chargers. A resort like this needs at least 10.

Lots of amenities on site. Very family friendly resort with lots of activities for kids. You can easily stay on the property without having to go anywhere else. Our room was dusty and had a weird odor. There were no towels at the pool in the evening and it closed at 10pm. Food at Vue was not good, very bland. The food food at Bar Traza was really good.
