I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites near San Francisco Airport West. The location was convenient, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. However, I was disappointed that the jacuzzi was not working, which was one of the main amenities I was looking forward to using. There was no prior notice about it being out of service, which was frustrating after a long day of travel. Overall, it’s a solid place to stay for a short visit or layover, but I’d recommend checking on the status of amenities in advance if you’re looking forward to specific features like the jacuzzi.

When first checked in the lobby was clean warm and welcoming. Receptionists was friendly and quick but very informative. Parking was a extra charge that i did expect. They have their own parking garage under the lobby area but it is a bit tight for larger car unfortunately there were quite a few on my visit. The room was larger than expected. The kitchenette had its own door to its area. Everything was super clean and the was very comfortable. Only thing that was a draw back for me was the smell of the toiletries but it just personal preference. Breakfast was hot, potatoes, eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, cereal, ect. Loved the coco and cinnamon for the coffee. I would definitely stay again!

The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very quiet. Parking is $15 per night; parking is in a garage. Well lit and has an elevator. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

The staff at the hotel couldn't have been better. the Front desk and the breakfast staff were terrific. The pool area is super inviting! The airport shuttle was ridiculous, and the driver wasn't the best. This is the last stop of four on the schedule and maybe the driver was in a hurry. Take an Uber or Lyft!!

Convenient location and nice pool and gym

A LOT of huge pluses for this place. Booked final night before flying home and just wished I had booked on the front end too. High points: Great, safe walkable area with oodles eating options. Secure prkg garage.The center courtyard patio area is exceptional! No photos on the website do it justice. Spent evening and morn sitting there. The pool area and courtyard are separated by a glassed in workout room, which we did not use but how nice to be able to use the equipt with a choice of views, courtyard or watching kids in pool. And this kept any pool noise inaudible in the courtyard area. Both areas contiguous to lobby, breakfast area. Genius layout/design. Our room was great; full kitchen a big plus for a fam of 4 just to spread out. Kitchen window had view looking east to rails, airport. No privacy issues, high enough up, just fun view for a tourist. Beds comfy, everything about the room great, just a little dark for my liking, but almost forgotten given all the positives). Staff at this hotel, scale of 1:5, a 6. That’s how good. Their airport shuttle does not run from 11:30am-@4pm. We had to be to airport at 2pm. That was an unexpected problem. Front desk Sonna (sp?) took care to resolve and ordered a cab for us. Strange to not have shuttle service at checkout time/midday, so best to plan ahead. Safe, walkable area with oodles of eating/carryout options (espec Asian) walking distance. Sooo much better than airport hotels just north of SFO.

Staff was great, CLEAN room. Loved the shuttle to airport worth a million.

The room was a bit dirty when arriving. If you want room cleaned while staying there you have to request it daily or room will not be cleaned.

The bathroom has mold and when showering the water came out the tub and wet my clothes.

They keep a very clean property. The bed is amazingly soft. The air conditioning works really well. Onlybweird experience was there was a cockroach on the wall that I had to exterminate in the middle of the night. The room was immaculate, so who knows where it came from. I told the front desk when I checked out and she said thank you and she'd have someone look into it. She didn't offer anything as a courtesy, Which would have been nice.

I liked the pool area. It seems welcoming and has comfortable seating. I did not like that the room smelled bad and the toilet clogs.

Maid did not service my room in any of the 3 days I was there!

Good customer service and very clean rooms. Our pet was comfortable and the pet fee of $25 was very reasonable.

Our room was very clean and the staff were friendly. Parking was convenient and easy. The walls are a bit thin as we could hear the guest next to us running their water at 3am.

Room was nice except for the window above the bathroom vanity which let in light early in the morning, waking me up earlier than necessary. There was no curtain to close to block the light, and this is a dealbreaker for taking away several hours of sleep.

A bit run down and the elevator is very slow, but the price is right and the kitchen-equipped rooms are nice.

We used the hotel to stay one night at before our flight the location was great, off street parking in a garage was really nice and the staff was great. That being said we booked a room with a kitchen and woke up in the middle of the night to a loud fan sound, turns out the fridge in the kitchen was super loud and would not stop running. Also the ac unit is very loud as well. The other knock on cleanliness was carpeting had a sticky feeling to it as well. Overall an ok stay for one night close to the airport but barely slept due to the fridge noise.

Average hotel but not bad. Room was clean but well used. Housekeeping staff was a bit noisy rolling carts around early in the morning and well into evening. Our room was right by an elevator so could get loud with guests and staff coming and going. The plaza was nice and kids enjoyed the pool.

Room was clean, bed comfortable, older feel of building, road noise was not bad on the front room we had, toilet kept filling after flushing needed new guts had to lift lid and fiddle each flush, shower tub had slow drain feet were swimming after showers, breakfast had good selections, overall would stay there again.

Nice room with a full kitchen

Nice and clean property. My kids enjoyed the pool thoroughly. Breakfast was good enough, and open until 10am which is a plus. Rooms were spacious and clean. but the TV was small, and the remotes didn't work properly. On requesting, they did provide a different remote, which was somehow manageable. Stayed 3 nights, very close to the airport.

As with other La Quintas it looks renovated. It was clean. Only bad thing is the bathroom where toilet and shower was the lighting was very bad. They need to put a brighter light in there.

Welcoming, pleasant professional staff at check in/out. Very clean room. 2.5 stars overall because room was not an enjoyable respite - it was dated, dark and sad, very much in need of a remodel. Old dingy furnishings.

Around 10pm and 12pm some how two random people at different times were given access to my room while I was in bed they utilized a card given to them by the front desk. I was told by the front desk staff they were sorry and that shouldnt have happened it may have been a computer error. With that being said safety is a big concern of mine and I will not be staying at laquinta in.

Front desk staff are very helpful. Breakfast area is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful and has both hot and cold choices.

My wife and I checked in about 1am, and Alex was super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. In the morning, Edir and Anna were just as friendly and helpful. Edir was really on top of the breakfast area, ensuring it was clean, and fresh foods were available. He assisted my wife with the waffle maker. Thank you staff!

It was awful. First the person at the front desk was incredibly rude. Then he tried to charge me a higher rate.

I have to wait 20 minutes to check in, because nobody is at front desk.

We were just having a one-night layover to get home, so we wanted quick, convenient and cost effective. We had a terrible experience with one of the hotels down the road, and we are happy we chose La Quinta. They were friendly, accommodating and very helpful with all of our questions.

When I checked in, the woman at reception (who was very nice) said that she would arrange a taxi to take me to the airport at 5:00am. Unfortunately, she didn't do that. The cab arrived at 5:30pm after they were called twice by the staff on the morning shift. That was very frustrating.

front desk staff that welcomed us was confused, gave us a wrong room number. we were trying to get into a room not ours in the wee hour so mt daughter had to go back down.. the party occupying the room maybe got scared coz we kept turning the knob.

The staff was always ready to assist us with directions and hotel amenities. They were friendly and met the various needs our family had traveling with a 2 year old and two other kids. We highly recommend.

Property is just shy of the airport for those whom use the red eye like we did! Get right in and right to sleep

Great location for driving or using CalTrain. Groceries nearby and several easy restaurant options in the neighborhood. But the best part is that the rooms are fully equipped and the pool and patio area is lovely! A peaceful oasis in the urban jungle. Great place to relax after a long day working or exploring.

Good, safe hotel to stay at near the airport. Underground parking was easy to use.

The 3 star hotel rating is accurate. Not 3 minutes from SFO - more like 10. Not a great neighborhood. Glad I did not need to walk somewhere to find food. Put water thru the Keurig machine to make hot water for tea. Water can out brown with coffee grinds in it from previous pod user. Apparently hasn’t been cleaned in a while. Be very careful of water pressure in shower - more like a fire hose. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel & Expedia need to solve the problem of locating this hotel. GPS for the address delivers you directly to SFO. It can only be found by using the name, & the hotel is aware of this. Otherwise, it was clean & comfortable with a good breakfast. Staff great. Rooms are a old & furniture grungy. Grounds are lovely, parking great.

A great hotel that has all of the comforts of home and beyond. Great breakfast served each money with a lovely patio to enjoy. Gym and laundry available and easy to access. Parking available for a daily charge.

Food served at breakfast is the same everyday. I suggest variation in menu so guests will have a better choice

I was absolutely DELIGHTED with my stay here! I booked this hotel looking for a convenient place to sleep during my overnight layover in San Francisco - given the nature of my stay, I wasn’t expecting anything over the top and simply wanted a comfortable bed and close proximity to the airport. This hotel fulfilled that and more. Throughout my experience I noticed the friendliness and compassion of the staff. I especially want to thank Fernando, who provided me with several breakfast pastries when I had to miss the continental breakfast service for my flight (breakfast here runs from 7-10 am, I had to leave at 5). Amenities here also were clean and appeared quite new. Overall I’d be eager to return back and highly recommend this hotel - the staff here truly make it feel like a home away from home.

Close to airport. Very nice sushi restaurant next door. Staff was very friendly. Room was fresh and clean. A bit noisy until 11:00pm because we were near the Restaurant kitchen access door. And a very nice free breakfast .

We stayed here before and after an outpatient procedure at Stanford Healthcare, and the location was ideal—just minutes from the treatment center. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, making it a great place to rest and recover before flying home. The breakfast bar offered a wide variety of options: a waffle maker, Quaker oats, a cereal rack with multiple choices, and hot items including turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, and seasoned potatoes. There were also yogurts, breads, muffins, and assorted pastries—plenty to suit different tastes and dietary needs. The breakfast area was quite warm (around 80°F), which I personally enjoyed, though my husband preferred the adjacent cooler room. One small issue: the refrigerator storing yogurts and dairy items felt a bit too warm. Our guest room was clean and restful. As a recovering patient, I found the open-air corridors a little chilly to navigate. The in-room air conditioner had a missing bearing, which caused noticeable noise when it ramped up in the afternoon and evening. It made falling asleep slightly challenging, though manageable. On the plus side, the dark roast coffee was exceptional, and the airport shuttle was prompt and convenient. Overall, this hotel offered a supportive and comfortable environment during a vulnerable time. I’d recommend it to anyone needing proximity to Stanford and a smooth, low-stress stay.

Sushi restaurant at the property was outstanding!
