Pros: Great view of ocean and cabrillo street from ground floor ocean front room. Room was big. The pool was large and well maintained and the spa was plenty hot. Lots of lounge chairs by the pool. Beautiful grounds and landscaping. Bike rentals on property had lots of choices and great service. Hotel provides vouchers for wine and bike rentals. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the hotel inside and out. Nice gym. Loved the chess sets and ping pong table on the grounds for guests to play. Cons: Need more umbrellas by the pool. Need more kid friendly food options. All the food is overpriced. Ground floor patios are spacious but not very private from your neighbor. Patios are not enclosed on ground floor. One side of our patio was separated by a bougainvillea hedge and the other side was separated by a wall. You could easily walk around the end of the wall or hedge to get to your neighbor's patio. Patio chair cushions need to be replaced. They had no cushioning left in them. The vent fan in the bathroom did not work so you could not remove smells or moisture. The floor board in bathroom was damaged as if it had rotted from moisture. Valet was extra $10 every night regardless how many times you valet your car. They also charge $40/night for parking and $35/night for a hotel fee. Next time I'll be staying at Hotel Milo or one of the other places on the North of the pier.

It was very nice and secure! They had free bike rentals which is highly recommended when in Santa Barbara! They also have a great pool and jacuzzi! The hotel also had little games around the hotel which is fun for the kids like a big chess board, shuffle board, connect 4, etc. Would definitely go back.

Beachfront hotel, so convenient for beach access and enjoyable board walk. Easy to walk to different wine bars and restaurants. Property lobby spacious and airy, bar area a little sterile and outside patio bar area needed a big update. Rooms clean and sizeable. A huge property with a pretty small pool but good for families. Pool bar also needed improvement. Pretty grounds. Bikes available as part of resort fee.

Property wasn’t as we expected as we’ve stayed there several times before, but this time around many amenities were out of order such as the car charger and jacuzzi. In addition, housekeeping did not come by our hotel room to clean during our two night stay. Hotel seemed understaffed during our stay for several areas.

The hotel was pretty nice, but they seemed to be very short staffed. Long wait to check-in and there only seemed to be two valets working at any given time. The restaurant is mediocre. The pool area is much smaller than pictured and gets really full. I will give them good marks for cleanliness.

Terrible - no hot tub or pool facilities during construction and no notification of this - they blamed Hotels.com for not notifying us - so we probably wont be using Hotels.com anymore either no hot water 2 days running off duty manager was initially condescending when I tried to address the issue they should not call themselves a resort if they dont provide resort ammenities and service

The hotel was is a great location across the street from the beach and walking distance to a restaurants. If you get a room in the back of the hotel you are very close to the train tracks and will hear trains. The pool was big with lots of seating. I think it’s a bit pricy for what you get, especially the resort and parking fees.

The first room we got had no air , so the desk was not sure if we wanted to stay or move in another room , we moved after 10pm , the second room the 2 sinks in the barroom did not drain , both rooms were outdated , dark and dingy , the furniture is old stained and seen better days , the carpet was stained and not very clean , the grounds r very nice so is the location but the rooms r bad for the price

understaff the Pool area all dirty with trash left by guest after eating? food stood there for hours, birds came to get it, after 3 hours I had to go and get somebody When I got the room, there was hair all over the bathroom, tooke me 20 min to check in I paid almost %700 per night! not worth it at all I wont stay at the hotel again

The condition of the hotel room was far from expected standards with the price point. Towels were dirty, the carpet was dirty, and the walls/ corner nooks were dirty and cracked, observably old/not maintained. Our room had a dingy humid climate, so we had to keep the patio open when we were in the hotel. The beds were nice and the personal patio were the highlights of the room. The exterior of the hotel is pretty and aesthetic to look at. Staff were cold to interact with, our family didn’t really mind but it was something to note. Beware there was tons of hidden costs, there is a parking fee, resort fee, breakfast is not included, and there is no complementary coffee/ water for breakfast.

The room was unkempt and worn right off the bat! The coffee maker was not turning on until it was moved to another outlet.. then , not one or two, but three spiders were discovered in the bathroom area.. when front desk was informed of the spider infestation, their response was just ‘well, sorry about that , we will try to clean better next tiime. The bathroom air filter was full of dust and grime.”, the housekeeping never showed up to clean our room ,, all this for measly $900 plus per night

This hotel was clean and luxurious. The grounds were gorgeous. We had a ground floor room with a nice patio and enjoyed the ocean view every evening. The restaurant only serves lunch and breakfast but the food was excellent. The pool was clean and heated. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Pros: Size of our room was decent, check in was easy, front desk staff were nice. Cons: (1) Half of our bathroom towels were extremely dirty - we found most towels covered in dark brown, black, or yellow streaks/stains. Two towels also had hair wrapped in it. It was extremely off putting. (2) The bathroom walls had visible rust and mold - it didn’t feel clean at all. (3) Two of our pillow cases were stained so we didn’t use them. Our outer bedsheet had brown stains on them as well. (4) The mattress was extremely worn out and uncomfortable. Being 6 months pregnant and having sharp mattress springs stabbing my entire body all night for four straight nights was so inconvenient. My husband also came home with several knots on his back from the uncomfortable mattress. Needless to say, we had the worst sleep during our stay. (5) The main lobby and common areas were probably the nicest in appearance. The halls leading to rooms, the elevator, and pretty much everything else just looked and smelled so old, worn out, dated. The place looks like it is in need of serious remodeling. Overall, our stay at the Hilton was subpar at most. For the price we paid, we were expecting a much better quality stay than what we experienced. We definitely will be staying elsewhere when we visit Santa Barbara again.

We stayed one night at the beachfront Hilton in Santa Barbara and were very disappointed, especially considering the $980 rate. From check-in to check-out, the experience fell short. When we arrived, there was a long line and it took about 20–30 minutes just to check in. We had tried to check in online in advance, but the system wouldn’t grant us access due to an ID verification issue—even though we had already selected our room. Once we got to the room, we were hit with a strong sour dairy smell, and the carpet had visible stains. It felt dirty and uninviting. The staff seemed poorly trained and unprepared to assist with basic guest questions. We were given a voucher for a 2-hour bike rental around 5 PM, only to be told the rental area had already closed for the day—making the voucher useless. Overall, it was not worth the premium price. The property feels run-down, the service was disappointing, and we wouldn’t recommend staying here based on our experience.

Towels have many black dots. Balcony sliding door was falling when trying to open it first time. Though they sent technician to fix it right away and sent new clean towels. Bedding sheet feels crusty and stiff, very uncomfortable. There are hair in the bathtub when I first checked in. Overall felt disappointed at the stay.

To start, the room we were given had wallpaper peeling from the walls and noticeable debris—grass and what looked like leaves—on the carpet near the sliding glass door. It gave the impression that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained before our arrival. The biggest issue, however, was with the internet. Upon checking in, we discovered that there was no connectivity in our room. Alberto, who appeared to be a manager, asked me to call tech support. After waiting on hold for nearly 30 minutes, I finally reached someone who walked me through standard troubleshooting steps—everything I had already tried on my own. The problem persisted, and after another long hold (20+ minutes), I gave up and messaged Alberto again. He said someone from IT would contact me. Eventually, I received a call, and they resolved the issue by simply rebooting the router. Once that was done, everything worked fine. Still, the experience felt more like dealing with a tech issue at home than enjoying a relaxing stay at a high-end resort. David the front desk staff was helpful, making it easy to check in so with the guy ( did not get his name)who worked for valet parking. He was very kind and willing to help. Rooms needed upgrading lighting wise a little dark on our room,air-conditioning was a little loud. Beds and pillows were fresh and clean and comfortable. Location was superb 🙌 and the view from our room were blocked by the trees and shrub in front of the patio otherwise nothing too big too complain about. We had a wonderful stay and slept comfortably. We will definitely come back and stay at the Hilton again.

Great location, right opposite the beach. A nice pool and fun family games throughout the grounds. Our room was very comfortable, asked for quiet room and it was! The reasons I haven't given this 5 stars is because our room wasn’t ready for check in at 4.20pm. The restaurant menu was limited… so easy to walk in to downtown though. We wanted to play pickleball, the courts were empty but were told we couldn’t use them as booking was not available. Minor points really, I would recommend this hotel to friends!

I was very disappointed with my stay and thought the Hilton name carried a higher standard. -Mattress was very uncomfortable -Non-Oceanside view rooms had a cheap motel feel with the balcony looking directly into the parking lot -Toilet was held together with silicone -Bathroom fan/vent was not working so walls would start sweating after a shower -Room felt stuffy (not sure if allergens from carpets or dusty AC vent) -for the $600 paid per night, the room felt very cheap. Musty, smelly rooms. AC is not working well. Staff ignores calls and when you text them like the automated call tells you to you still don't get responses. It's been two days here and I'm still waiting for responses to questions I had texted them. Very underwhelming for being a Hilton. I've stayed in other hotels that are close by for half the price that are much cleaner, nicer and friendlier.

We stayed at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront for our wedding and it was absolutely amazing! The location couldn’t be better—right off the highway, across the street from the beach, and walking distance to everything we needed. The venue itself is beautiful, with comfortable beds, a great resort pool and hot tub, and complimentary beach chairs and bike rentals that made our stay even better. Everything felt convenient and relaxing, and it was the perfect place to celebrate such a special moment. Highly recommend!

Hotel is older and it shows. They charge a fortune for parking...$42/day. Then on top of that a $40/day "resort fee", which I'm not sure why I was paying because all of the amenities (spa, pool, etc) were closed for renovations. The "ocean view" we paid a lot for you had to squint and be on your toes to see...the ocean is across a major road. Lots of traffic noise too. The room was spacious and fine. They put us right by a bathroom and people slamming the door day and night made it hard to sleep. Overall I would not stay again. The price didn't justify the view.

The location of the property is great as it is across the beach. The pool was also good and we liked that music was playing. Our only critique was that we ate at the hotel restaurant the first night for dinner and the food was terrible. The fish was rubbery, the burgers had no flavor and the drinks were watered down. We would not stay there again but I am glad we tried it.

We stayed less than 24 hours and it was mostly rainy so I can’t comment amenities or grounds but it sounded like there were plentiful and nice. All staff we encountered were extremely friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We had a delicious breakfast in the restaurant. The location is perfect. Nice gift shop too.

This property is right across the street from the ocean. That’s really it’s only selling point. The parking was crazy expensive, the restaurant food was terrible and service was slow. The drinks were good. Front desk staff was very nice. They hotel nickels and dimes you. You literally have to pay for wifi on top of a daily report fee and parking is 45 per day so yeah. So many cute boutique hotels in the area, we will do that next time.

Not sure why there is still carpet for flooring in a 4 star hotel for $600+ per night. Pool was closed for two days of a three day weekend. The Coffee Shop could only do drip coffee....for $7.10 per cup for a medium. Come on - how about a coffee service in the lobby like most hotels? Location is fantastic - right on the beach with a 10 minute walk to State street. All in all - great staff trying their best in a tired property

Solo traveling as a woman, I was having funds availability issues on my card yet still had enough to cover a portion of the deposit. Instead of offering to hold less on my already paid for room, they turned me away, forcing me to stay in a hostel until my funds cleared on my card. This was while the surrounding front desk staff was waving resort fees, and security deposits for the surrounding families and couples checking in. Complete discrimination.

The property location is great. The building I stay seems like need a lot of maintenance One of the room had Brocken shampoo containers on the shower. I found hairs in the bath tub like they didn’t clean well before we get in to the room. The patio door had some broken metal part to stop the slide door. I just didn’t complain because I was kind the frustrating with the check in. They take like 45 minutes to give me my keys. So I was already frustrated with that cuz I requested connected rooms and when get there It wasn’t available. And they supposed to upgrade my rooms but they looks big and But not clean on the showers on both rooms
