Enjoyed our stay. We were given a newly renovated room overlooking the pool. The room was very comfortable with the exception of the bed. The bed was too soft and lumpy. I had extreme back pain every day from it. One other complaint is their gym. No weights or matts. They have a shiny, brand new Peloton which i was exciting to see however it's not connected to internet so you can't use any Peloton features other than ride it like any other stationary bike. So pointless. Other than those two issues, staff is friendly and place is clean. Enjoyed it Otherwise.

This Best Western was the best one I have ever stayed at...and was more comparable to a 4 star hotel. Yes, it is still a motel, but the property AND rooms were immaculately clean and in good condition! The King room we stayed in was large and nicely appointed. The staff were friendly! We loved the jacuzzi and heated pool! Awesome place to stay for a lower price point in Santa Barbara!

Excellent place to stay with great amenities with pool towels, bathroom amenities such as shampoo/conditioner and body wash dispenser, 1 block from e-bus for 50 cents to go to downtown or the beach. Great restaurant onsite but also walking distance from McConnell ice cream and daily grind breakfast place.

I stayed. here for 4 days with my wife. It is a small older hotel adjacent to downtown Santa Barbara. It is designed like an apartment building rather than your typical hotel layout. Everything worked as it should. The room was clean. It had a kitchen with the usual appliances. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. There was a pool that we did not utilize. There were only a few negatives. It was kind of loud late at night with some partying. We were promised sparkling wine but never saw that. The parking lot is a bit too small to maneuvre. There is no elevator to the upstairs units. I recommend the hotel.

The front desk staff is very friendly and responsive. The hotel is clean and well kept. The room was a bit musty smelling, however that was likely due to the heavy rains. The grounds are beautiful and the location is great for a few nights stay. I highly recommend it. Very good location, close to attractions and restaurants. Excellent free parking. Clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. Be sure to ask where they are located in the room, are as my refrigerator was under the bathroom sink. I would stay at this hotel again when visiting Santa Barbara. It is reasonably priced and offers enough amenities to make for a very comfortable stay.

This is a very old property and we felt that cleanliness was not on a level that we were expecting it to be. It may be due to age of the buildings. The room we stayed was felt to be cleaned by the housekeeping staff,but there was a smell in the rooms and it was not comfortable for us. The carpets were very old and dull. However, the staff were friendly and pleasant. The location is convenient for downtown SB and the beaches.

Extremely disappointed with this experience. Will not be staying here ever again. Overpriced for what you get. Our room felt stuffy and dirty like it had been years since anyone steam cleaned the carpets or window treatments. It smelled musty and gave my daughter severe allergies, on top of that it was noisy and somebody construction was going on in the middle of the night and no one slept well. Run away fast don’t waste time! I would ask for a refund but I doubt we would get it. It was awful.

The staff are lovely and the hotel is generally clean (except for carpets). But the whole place needs a total renovation. The decor and furnishings are probably at least 50 years old. The carpet was worn and appeared grubby. The beds were shot to the point where you both ended up in a pit in the middle. There was a fusty smell about the place. It just felt unpleasant. As other review have said I would avoid this place if you can. It’s not worth the $$. Thankfully we were only there for one night on our road trip so we only really slept in the room and got out early.

The suites were quite spacious & enjoyed having living room separate from bedroom.Kitchen was fully equipped so saved on some meals. Nice pool & patios. WiFi conductivity was poor at times so streaming & internet use could be difficult. Significant noise transfer from people upstairs when walking around or playing music as building style is older wood construction. Neighborhood is quiet & it is located within few miles of beach & other food/attractions. Parking good if not arriving too late in evening. Housekeeping only upon request. Bed was comfortable & unit clean overall but several stains on carpets that had not been attended to. Overall good, relatively inexpensive place to stay in Santa Barbara.

Two night stay was almost 800.00. It was a small room, no bath. I was over charged, Expedia took advantage and hiked up prices for the weekend. The Inn was nice. I remember staying there in 2021 but the room was nicer then, larger and it had a bath tub. Honestly, I was disappointed as I couldn't quantify the value.

The room was spacious and had a kitchen with gas stove, large refrigerator and table with settings for four. When we checked in there was a bottle of champagne with tall stemmed glasses waiting in our room. Housekeeping was excellent and considerate throughout our stay. Well worth an excellent rating.

Our room was large, clean and had a shower and bathroom designed for people with disabilities. The Live Oak restaurant was excellent, with great food selections. There was a nice clean pool with disability access and a large custom bird cage with housing for about 40-50 small finches that everyone enjoyed, especially children. We even had luncheon reserved at Live Oak for 9 of our family members so we could be together and enjoy the great food. The only problem was their Internet wifi was not working consistently while we were there.

We booked room 312, with a full kitchenette: Refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink with disposal, k-cup coffee maker, dishes and cutlery. Spacious bathroom with shower. Two bedrooms, one with one queen, the other with two queens and a big flat TV. Living room area is spacious with a large comfortable L shaped sectional sofa and large flat TV (25 channels). Free WiFi. Generous closet space. No safe. Breakfast is not provided, but there is a restaurant attached. When we let the front desk know we were having trouble with the coffee maker they quickly arrived and replaced it with a brand new, out of the box k-cup coffee maker. The gardening around the property is beautiful and expertly maintained! The location is located within les than a ten minutes drive of everything we wanted to do in Santa Barbara. We were delighted with our stay.

I got a newly updated suite overlooking the pool, still smelled of new paint. Great bed and comfy pillows. Good parking. Last evening a family with loud kids moved in next door and were louder than acceptable, and being an older building the rooms are not soundproof unfortunately.

You can find parking right by your unit; bedrooms are nicely appointed- appreciate the separate rooms for the king and queen beds. Kitchen was awesome. Not walkable to main streets with restaurants but the restaurant onsite had good food.

We had an amazing stay the Best Western Plus. The front-desk staff were very friendly and helpful in every respect. Our room was spacious and clean, with a great AC system and great extras (safe, microwave, mini fridge, robes, anti-fog mirror in the bathroom). The property includes a zebra-finch aviary (cool!), a pool, and a hot tub. The Live Oak Restaurant on the hotel property has excellent selection, amazingly fast service, and very reasonable prices for the food quality. The hotel location is a nice quiet area, a bit too far to walk to downtown Santa Barbara but a short drive or Uber away. We would happily stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you have a loved one at cottage Hospital. I was able to walk from the hotel to the hospital within minutes. I could also walk to the Live Oak Café to have dinner. I never had to pay for parking because I never had to move my car. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was courteous.

Lovely clean, very well kept hotel in a safe mostly residential community. Very reasonably priced and everyone connected with the hotel was very kind, friendly, and hard-working. However, it is not within walking distance of any of the events, etc. in Santa Barbara. We had to take an Uber everywhere.

On a recent visit to Santa Barbara, we stayed at this moderately priced hotel and were pleasantly surprised by what a great experience it was. The staff were helpful, friendly, and responsive. The facility and grounds are impeccably kept up and clean. Having free on-site parking was a special treat if you travel often to SB - we usually stay downtown, where there are always parking and valet charges.The location is mostly residential, so quiet, but still close to the center city and all the fun (although maybe not walking distance). A couple of things to be aware of: 1) there is no elevator, so if you have mobility issues, request a first floor room, and 2) there is not regular room housekeeping unless you request it.

I was very happy with my stay. The room was clean, updated, and comfortable. The parking was a bit tight, but I was always able to find a spot. The location is fine, not very walkable, but super easy drive to the downtown area and only 5 mins to the old mission. I would stay here again.

Very nice place to stay with outdoor patio area off glass slider and a nice restaurant on site. It is situated next to a medical complex on one side and a residential area on the other side. It's a couple of blocks to State St, but not near any attractions, shops, bars, restaurants so you have to drive to everything.

Quiet, Comfortable and clean, location was more residential. Not much in walking distance. The gym wasn’t much of a gym only had machines for cardio. On-site restaurant wasn’t open for dinner on the weekend. It’s a great hotel just depends what your needs are.
