Ramada Inn by Wyndham Fairfield NJ

We arrived on Thursday - June 12th. Due to a traffic accident, all WIFI throughout the hotel was down. This includes the check in process, no TV in our room. After 48 hours service was restored. We didn't have maid service until Saturday afternoon. The beds were uncomfortable, bathroom sink backed up, shower diverter hard to use. We gave a list to the front desk and asked for these items to be addressed. there was a fair attempt. Not what we were expecting from Wyndham! Back to Thursday check in, Robert the only one on duty did an AMAZING job alone, checking people in, running them to their rooms. Thank you Robert! I appreciate his service and hustle!

The front desk doesn't no how to operate and activate key. I have to circle to front desk and room to get door open. And they doesn't have water dispenser or ice vending machine. The lift is stinky and smells a lot. The carpets dirty

The Pool wasn’t opened although this morning when I called I asked about the Pool and they said they had one yet didn’t mention it was closed.

The staff was great!!! The elevators were broken. The pool was close for half the day.

The tv did not work, the treadmill was not working and the fitness center was very very very minimal. The first two nights it smelled horribly of marijuana. The first night a woman was shouting obscenities in the middle of the night. They did not bring new towels. The positives included the people who worked front desk were friendly and efficient. They brought more towels when asked. The water pressure was good in the shower.

Spent the weekend here for summerslam. Will definitely book again! The pool was nice

Side doors always hard to get in, sometimes keys work sometime not, long walks to main doors with luggage Rooms have been updated. Good stay overall

The place is a dump. Keys given didn’t work. During stay had to get keys redone 3 times both rooms. 2nd room door handle broken, couldn’t get in, had to get a new room. Keys didn’t work for pool area. Pool cloudy. Hotel pic shows hot tub, none exists. Room AC puddle of water underneath. Floor dirty, had to clean ourselves since front desk couldn’t find any maids. Toilet handle broken And had to take top off multiple times to flush. Closet only had 3 hangers. 1 washcloth for a double room. Cups opened with wrappers on floor and 1 missing. Room not cleaned or beds maid 2nd day of stay. 3rd day room finally cleaned and beds made.

Elevator out. Stayed 3 nights

Rooms weren’t thoroughly cleaned. Pool was open but you could not see the bottom because of how cloudy it was. Would not recommend more than a place to lay your head and jump back on the road.

Bed bugs

This hotel was filthy from the entering the front door, elevator, hallways to the hotel room. There was dirt and debris all over the carpeted floors. It looked as thought it had never been vacuumed. The rug before the elevator was ripped up and shredded. Inside the hotel room, we found a hole in the middle of the floor. The linens were stained and had holes in them. The lampshades were stained and broken. When we opened the window curtain the pole fell off. Inside the closet the shelving was rotted and peeled up. The shower curtain rod was hanging on by loose nails that were about to come out of the wall. There appeared to be little black specs of mouse droppings on the bathroom floor. We went back down to the front desk to complain. We were offered another room. We went to that room and found the same issues along with this room not having working AC. We checked out and found a more sanitary hotel the next morning.

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights. Both our rooms had bed bugs, we left with bites all over our bodies.

The first room they gave me smelled like smoke so I changed rooms and the second room they gave me was dirty from the walls to the cabinets to the sheets. The floor had a hole in it, the toilet wouldn't stop flushing, the beds were not leveled, and the shower curtain wouldn't even close. I also saw a roach running around the floor at night

There’s dust everywhere the AC covered in dust! My kids had rashes all over his body. Curtains were covered in dirt and stains. Pillow cases looked so dirty. Floors were sticky.

Extremely dirty , I checked in when I entered the room trash was on top of the bed food debris was on the bed!!

Dirty smells bad. The pool, the water was brown. It's just nasty the worst experience in my life

Bedding sheet was dirty smelled sweat. Pillows were dirty and smelly.

Absolutely disgusting. Reeked of marijuana. The entire room was disgusting. There were marks on the wall the TV stand the bed and it looked like no one had swept or mopped in the bathroom.

First and foremost, this place is dirty and shabby! The carpet in the hall hadn’t even been vacuumed! There are scratches snd nicks in all the furniture as if the pieces had been there since the 1950s! The Dept of Health should inspect this place for serious violations!

Everything is old

It was fine enough but I don't think I'd stay here again. The carpet, chairs, furniture, everything are in really rough shape, making it hard to tell how clean things are. Air conditioning barely worked--- was sputtering and struggling and even on max it couldn't really keep up. The elevator was broken so everyone had to take the stairs if staying on an upper floor. The hotel was pretty noisy with a lot of people and one of the side doors from the hallway to the parking lot was stuck open so anyone could technically come in. The door connecting my room to my neighbors' was unlocked, something I only discovered when I heard a noise behind the door, which might have been someone opening it. Again, not terrible, but I wouldn't return. This was also more expensive than the Red Roof Plus I stayed in the following night, which was a lot nicer than this inside.

Waited a half hour for my reserved King bed then was told that it would be another half hour or take 2 double beds. Room smelled of urine and dirty and dingy. Bed and chairs had rips in bottom. The bathroom door was buckled on the bottom of both sides from having been wet. Everything was stained as well. Overall would have left except that it was for one night and we needed sleep.

I booked for 6 nights, the temperature was 95 degrees and the A/C wasn’t working, They just said we’re going to check it and they never did, the same thing with the bathtub, the water wasn’t running and it seems like they don’t care and they just clean the room 2 times in 7 days

Everything was good in our stay, our only issue was the bed wasn't super comfortable and the a/c wasn't very cold. Would stay there again !

Slow checkin. Staff was not very welcoming or friendly. Bare minimum. Hotel is incredibly dirty and unsanitary. After walking down the dirty hallway, with all the beat up doors, we walked in and out of the room immediately. It had an awesome perfume smell to mask the scent of something, dusty and rusted fixtures, bed was barely made. Bathroom looked old and unclean. Drapes were ragged and air unit was dirty and beat up looking. Neighboring rooms were loud and some people in the halls looked strung out. I was told the second floor rooms were nicer when I complained and I asked, “why didn’t you give us that floor first then?” We couldn’t stay and booked another nearby hotel losing our money at this one.

This hotel was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Check-in was at 3pm, we were there at 6pm and told our room was still being cleaned and that we should return in 30-45min. (All king bedrooms were being cleaned at the same time.) We did, and we got the same story. Waited until 7pm and a line of people was forming. Everyone was being told the same thing or being sent away angry. I don't know about you, but if you spend a whole day traveling, the last thing you want to do is wait for a room. We were finally in our room by 830pm, but we had to downgrade if we wanted a room. Why this was an option 2hrs later is beyond me. The system wasn't working in addition, and they told me to come back later and pay for the room when the system was working. Instead, I get an overdraft charge on my bank account because they put through the card they had instead of waiting for me to pay. The hotel was dirty. Every guest there had an issue that the staff didn't seem to care about resolving, and just gave the same canned answers to guest after guest. We saw why it took all day for our room to get cleaned: it took 3 ladies to clean one room in 3 hours because they spent the time partying instead of cleaning. I never received the refundable deposit. The hotel is in a great location, and they are booked every night. But I will not be returning, and I am recommending if you want a hassle-free stay, go somewhere else. This was completely unacceptable.

The Staff made a huge difference, starting with Robert, Tiffany and Vanessa ( front desk) and the housekeeping workers, everyone was very helpful and attentive.

The hallways weren’t clean, however I was surprised that the rooms were very presentable. Staff was very friendly and timely in attending to our needs. Breakfast was basic cereal, waffles etc. Overall the stay was good for our need.

Absolutely horrible! Service was terrible, hallways leading to the room were nasty and room itself was disgusting especially the bathroom. Came Into town for a wedding and got There a bit later than expected. So I was rushing. Pulled to the front went to go check in. I stood at the counter for 15-20 minutes waiting for someone. After about 15-20 minutes a lady comes front the back with a very nonchalant attitude. We went through the check in process and I proceeded to my room. At this point I have an hour to get dressed and make it to the destination for the wedding. I get in the room bed is sunk in and A/C not working so it's extremely hot in there I go into the bathroom the toilet was disgusting looks like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks shower had stains all around the walls shower was rusted and molded shower floor nasty. Unfortunately had to lay towels on the shower floor and wear slides to take a shower to get ready. Went back to the desk but there was a line of about 3-4 people and I was in a rush so I attended the wedding honestly feeling disgusting. I didn't get to enjoy the cocktail hour because after the ceremony I went back to check out because there was no way I was going to stay here. And the same careless lady that check me in told me with concern about any of the issues I'm explaining to her she said well you can't get a refund because you occupied the room you took a shower and changed. At this point I said to hell with a refund just check me out.

The staff is nice but this hotel is extremly Ghetto for the area it is in. Its needs a major remodel and more cleaning. My room was quite and it worked out but if I had to do it again I woukd reconsider

I like this property and ironically even am booking again for tonight and tomorrow night and plan to stay when in town. They have done much work to the hotel to improve the overall quality level of clientele they attract and the rooms are furnished nicely. I would like to see them implement some English as a second language continued education for the hotel staff. It would allow them to have more effective communication with the guests and help them be better prepared for success long after they move on from this specific location. Some of the staff outside of the front desk spoke little to no English and had a hard time understanding that I needed to be let into my room after locking my key in the room and there was nobody at the front desk to assist. ***note*** I almost gave the hotel a 5 star rating but, tonight when I checked in, my ride had hurriedly dropped myself and a lot of bags at the door before I was able to check in. She rudely looked at me and asked “are you getting a room here tonight?” I said, “I sure hoped to!” She rudely stated, “Good because I can’t leave all this stuff in my lobby.” As a result I can honestly only give this hotel a four stars, so I scrolled back up and downgraded my results to a four from what would have been a five star and we’ll see how tonight goes to determine if I should change my next rating to 5-star or not!!

They had free breakfast, make your own waffles, bagels, toast, muffins, yogurt, juice, coffee, tangerine, bananas. A restaurant that was right next door another restaurant in the same parking lot. We ordered a deliver pizza the name doesn’t match google maps so that was a bit of an issue.

It was cheap, room was fine i guess. but bfast buffet was lame- toast, coffee, cold cereal. Only one hand towel, 2 bath towels in bathroom

The whole place smelled like weed, staff made us feel as welcome as a fart in a space suit, breakfast was worse than homeless shelter food. You guys need to do better.

Not a clean hotel . The lobby and the path to the room has dirt on the carpet. I complained and they said busy day today ☹️ Bas Smell inside and AC was too noisy. Noise from ouside the room . We didn’t feel safe and checked out early. Breakfast was horrible.

The hotel is not well managed and is very dirty (the carpet in the corridor and the smell are horrible, everywhere is basically dirty). The room AC didn’t perform well and the bathroom was dirty as well (hairs everywhere, there was a plastic « carpet » in the bathtub where the majority of the water would stay, and the shower curtain was very dirty). The breakfast was very basic (waffles, bread, coffee and juice). The staff is nice except for one at the reception. The one receptionnist who helped us check in didn’t give any information about our stay (time of breakfast, hotel facilities, etc). It was an okay hotel, but wouldn’t recommend or go back.

There were bugs in the dresser. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows felt like they were filled with packing peanuts. The breakfast was limited, apples were brown, and yogurt was expiring this month.

Wish I read the reviews more closely. This place was pretty awful. It's currently under renovation, but the place was filthy. The bathtub was so gross that my kids refused to shower. The only decent thing was breakfast.
