Comfortable stay , nice staff , plenty of parking , nice walkable neighborhood, nice breakfast spread , gym on sight , clean and if you want to go swimming in a awesome indoor pool with in ground jacuzzi they have a sister hotel named Simsbury Inn about 25 minutes away where you can attend free up until 10pm when it closes

This was my second time staying at the Farmington Inn. It’s a nice, well-maintained hotel to begin with but they do it up extra nice for Christmas. I LOVED the touch of free charcuterie and wine in the lobby and the comfortable sitting area with art books to browse. Every staff member I interact with is kind, professional, and eager to please. The complimentary breakfast is very good, and the cafe is charming. Fitness center is kept very clean and equipment is brand new. The surrounding area is very safe and walkable with a couple good coffee and dining options. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Spent three nights at the Farmington Inn. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was delicious with quite a variety of options. There was even a machine with coffee choices and a pool table in the lobby! Excellent!

The property is old. They are relying upon "old New England charm". The AC in the room smells very musty and did not keep up well when the outside temperature reached the upper 80's. No elevator to the second floor. They tacked on a $10.00 per day "convenience" fee, per day, in addition to the room rate. Hoofing our luggage to the second floor was Not convenient. There are much better options in the area.

Visiting friends in Farmington one year after moving away. The Farmington Inn was the perfect spot! Centrally located and walkable to restaurants and shopping. While the property isn’t brand new, it makes up for it in personal service, delightful amenities like wine and cheese in the lobby in the evening! Coffee available all day long! Very nice complimentary breakfast in a lovely setting!

The customer service at this hotel is excellent. The property is fairly run down which lends the rooms to feel dirty even if they may not be. The last time I checked in, the room had really not been properly cleaned - hair in the shower, sticky marks on the coffee table, etc. It is a great value for the area, tho.

Place was stinky, probably the ancient carpet in the hallways. probably the originally carpet. The extra fee ( resort fee) should be criminal. There was no resort attached to this hotel.

The harsh chemicals, air fresheners, was so intense. After two days there my eyes burned and chest and could hardly talk. I couldn’t wait to leave. For folks who are chemical sensitive. Stay away.

The room was barely furnished, what furniture was in the room was worn and haggered. The bed was awful, hard and comforter was “short”. The lamps hadn’t been dusted in a long time. The rest of the room was surface clean. There was a wall mirror but covered up by the TV-tacky! The room was 150 dollars and not worth it at ALL! The soundproofing was nonexistent, we had to call the front desk because of the loud noises from the room above us.

The Farmington Inn staff were welcoming, the room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the free breakfast selections were good quality. I didn't love how loud the A/C unit was in the room, the furniture was pretty dated, and I could hear the people walking above me at times -- but that's kind of what you should expect in an old inn. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The hotel was great, but the mattress was horrible, springs (yes springs) stabbing throught the night. If the mattress wasn’t so bad this hotel would honestly be a 4 star. Staff was awesome, location perfect, restaurant next store awesome. It was just the mattress.

Lovey hotel in center Farmington. Lovely antiques and very clean. This hotel actually smelled good inside the hotel and room. That is rare these days. Comfy bed. Everything worked. Staff very polite and helpful. The only negative - they have those old heater/coolers on the wall that cycle on and off all night. We were tired when we woke up as the cycling just disturbs sleep. I have been in a hotel that has solved this problem and I will stick to that brand going forward.

The Wi-Fi here was soooo slow. We stayed in very remote places on our trip that had much better Wi-Fi than this hotel that was in a busy city. The hotel is quite confusing to navigate and there are many stairs. In the breakfast area, if the toaster and microwave were being used at the same time, a breaker would blow. They ran out of bacon before we arrived and didn't replace it until right before we left. It was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. Would not stay here again

Booked due to medical and family reasons. Was with my dog and ended up in the hospital. The hotel made sure my dog was taken care of and my belongings were secured. Although we had a disagreement at first, it was worked out and handled very professionally. Even going above my expectations. Especially the head of security, he is a good man and keeps his word. In the end, my dog was delivered back to me and my property was secured for retrieval.

The service was wonderful! The front desk staff was was helpful and accommodating by answering questions about local restaurants/shopping and even sharing sample products with us (great hand lotion). It was a cozy, pleasant stay. I would highly recommend it.

Check in was supper easy, as was booking. The staff was very helpful letting us know sites only steps away, plus information on restaurants in the area. There was a wine and cheese available in the lobby in the afternoon. Wine was excellent.

We've stayed at The Farmington Inn once or twice a year for more than a decade when visiting family nearby. The location is nice, parking is easy, nights are quiet, and the neighborhood is walkable. It was wonderful for many years, but this time, our room was in great need of some paint, stain removal, air freshening, and towel rack fixes. For this stay, check-in was quick and pleasant, but the next morning one staff member was handling both breakfast and the front desk, which was surprising and seemed stressful. I truly hope things improve (or that the condition of our room was a fluke) because we have such good memories from past stays.

I had a surgery planned at UConn Health and we live over an hour away. This was the only hotel I did not find reports of bed bugs so I picked it. The hotel was clean, front desk staff was friendly, and the room was acceptable. Don’t go here expecting a Hilton or a Marriott, it definitely has a smaller feel to it. My only complaint was the carpet was kind of gross looking and the walls were a bit too thin for my liking lol.

A warm welcome from the front desk, courteous staff, a beautiful room with a four poster bed and a quiet location centrally located to Farmington, Avon, West Hartford and Simsbury. Coffee and a light breakfast was a welcome start to the day and room service was available on request. We were able to visit all our adult kids in the area and return to our restful home away from home at night for a good night’s sleep - we will be back!

This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful community just off I-84, so very accessible for travel across New England. We had a nice quiet room and a hardy breakfast the next morning. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating, all in all, a very nice place to stay.

Staff is lovely & they go out of their way to make your stay welcoming & comfortable (fruit, coffee, full breakfast, etc). We stay here for the proximity to Miss Porters School (a short walk). The inn is older & rooms need some work (rooms could use updating / fresh paint) - but again, we stay for convenience.

The property was clean, the outside was quiet. The staff was courteous. The 24 hour cappuccino was amazing. The breakfast selection was good. Would recommend second waffle maker so the wait isn’t so long. The cleaning staff do come start cleaning the rooms early and those of us who are staying longer are disrupted by it. Love the colonial & presidential look. I rate rte property 5/5

Very nice property. Well appointed and quiet. Only negative was a poor breakfast bar. Very limited choices. Instant oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, packaged fruit cocktail and yogurt, with a few other things. And no restaurant on site or nearby.
