Magnuson Hotel Sand Springs – Tulsa West

Strictly just looking for a bed and shower. Quick stay while traveling alone. got in around 11pm and out the door by 7am. Decent enough place. no elevator.. my knees cried a bit.. lol. But overall, if I was needing a quick one night stay in the area, I'd book there again. no complaints.

Clean and friendly good grab and go breakfast. Only complaint is the washer and dryer is 3.00 each

Wonderfully friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Building is older. Some small areas need cosmetic repair (bathroom had a couple of small holes in sheetrock, water stain on ceiling) but are still perfectly functional. Very clean. Easy access to interstate. Within a mile there were several restaurants as well as a Wal-Mart and a large riverside park.

The room wasn’t dirty, but it didn’t feel clean either. Perhaps somewhere in between. Location was a bit sketchy in an industrial area. The condition of the property left a bit to be desired. For example, one of the exit doors at the end of the hallway had a board nailed to the wall across the door. Breakfast and coffee were sorely lacking as well.

Pool was closed, halwway smelled bad, bed was hard!

The staff was excellent! The hotel is in a pretty deserted area of town. The hotel is also run down.

Pool was out of order. Room was shabby and dirty. Literally dried noodles on the wall. We had a big storm come through. Tornado sirens, huge wind. Shattered windows and doors. The guy running the desk had no plan. He was clueless. No shelter.

The Magnuson is a tired, old and somewhat neglected property. Any renovation that has been done may have been done by someone with a serious eye/visual condition. The general consensus is “we won’t be back”.

Almost everything was great. It has a true handicap walk in shower, not a tub. The bed was low enough to easily transfer into. The pillows were super supportive not feather. The toilet and vanity were handicap accessible. The continental breakfast was good and consisted of a muffin, a yogurt, a fruit, a breakfast bar and orange juice with a small water. The only reasons I didn’t give it a 5 was the carpet needed to be cleaned. My feet were black walking from the bed to the window. I had to use baby wipes to clean them before getting in bed. Also the mattress needed to be replaced. It was lumpy and you could feel some springs, not very comfortable.

The room was very clean. Day manager was very friendly. Nice variety of foods to choose from.

The hotel is nice and the rooms were clean but it smelled of marijuana. It was really overpowering, so much so we smelled of it when we left.

Maybe the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Highly reccomend !

Rooms were very dirty still had stuff all over the floors hadn’t been vacuumed. There was more than dust there was actually dirt in the window seals. Beds were extremely hard. Breakfast was mainly just waffles. I would have went some where else but we didn’t have time or money to change when we checked in

Price was ok. It wasn't very well upkept. Hairdryer didnt work. Airconditioner very noisy

The rooms on the outside people had the doors open, sitting down in the front of it like they’re at their apartment. Standing at the counter, checking in and a guy comes to the counter with a roach that he found in his room that was still alive. they wouldn’t let me get my money back because I had already paid for the hotel through the website I get to my room it’s hot and it smells like mildew and air conditioner doesn’t work finally the front people come up. It had to be the next shift because the shift before the night shift didn’t come up to the door to check on that air conditioner of the night people had to so we was in there sweating for over two hours or three until somebody decided to come up and check the air conditioner. The overnight lady did move us into another room.

It was ok. You get what you pay for. The beds were not comfortable at all and blankets super thin. Tv small and outdated. But we basically showered, slept and left so it was

The beds were SO hard!! I had to take some ibuprofen just so my bones wouldnt hurt so bad. Felt like one inch of padding over a hard board. If my husband had been there, he could not have stayed the night on that bed. Never again!

The staff who checked us in was wonderful! The room was close to the car and easy to get to. The room was spacious and clean. There was a nice Chinese restaurant right next door. They even had boba tea! The food was terrific. Shopping and other restaurants were close by within a 5 minute drive.

This is an older hotel that needs some updates and repairs. The faucet had a steady drip and the cold and hot knobs were reversed. The outlet next to the sink needs to be replaced as it was not secured and would not hold the item plugged in. The beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient with check in.

There was holes in the walls, a broken headboard, lamps were legitimately rusty. Overall not well maintained. Beds and bathrooms seemed "clean" atleast....

Pretty spacious for just a simple room. It was clean & front d so lady was delightful. Super easy check in!

Every member of staff was exceedingly friendly, accommodating, served great breakfast & cared about how my stay was going daily.

Everyone and basically perfect. It's older and you could tell. I don't mind that at all. Everything I would hope for was perfect. Clean room, plenty of supplies, and foremost customer service of phenomenal. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Workers were very rude

Really enjoyed the stay here. The lady at the desk was really nice. We actually got in an hour early but despite it, she managed to help us check in. Apparently a lot of other guest also checked in early and she was clearly busy but still gave us her time to help us. She immediately wrote the wifi password at the back of the keycard without us asking for it which was really great. She gave us directions and even informed us to park our car at the back for easy access which we were truly appreciative. The only complain so far is the bed. It is hard as a rock. Lol. But we stayed only for a night so it wasn't that troubling. At least to me. I know it was harder for my mother in law though with already back problems but even she managed without much complain. There's a chinese restaurant next door within walking distance and the food was great too. Tulsa is only 15mins away so it was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely will come back. Oh yes There's free grab and go breakfast too but i didn't grab any. My husband did and he likes it. Definitely would recommend!

Called in advance before I made the reservation, to ensure we could all stay late the next day. Lady who answered told me we could check out at noon. Next day, mentioned to the lady who was walking the halls that we had a late checkout and she began to question me. Told me they don't allow late check-outs on Sundays. I asked her if she was questioning my honesty, and she stated that she knew no one told me a late check out was possible and that I needed to get out. She raised her voice and it ended up being a yelling match in the hallway as she threatened to have me and my son arrested. She came later admitting that she was the assistant manager and wanted me to show her where I had called, claiming I had not called in advance. I, in fact, had called the hotel three times and as I began to show her the calls, she escalated again and threatened again to call the police on us. We left. It was the craziest experience I have ever had in a hotel. She was a horrible person and behaved completely inappropriately. In addition, this hotel is a 5 star at best. Torn curtains, not that clean, fridge broken. Run, don't walk away from a reservation here and owner, fire that crazy lady that is your assistant manager.

The location is terrible.. it’s not exactly how the pictures show. And the hallway has an odor like wet carpet. The rooms smelled a bit better, the refrigerator door dragged across the carpet when opening. The bathroom door is heavy and hard to close. There is nothing around except a Chinese restaurant. Everything else looks abandoned. Kinda felt unsafe and did not go outside after dark. And overall, it is Very out dated.
