Stayed 3 nights

We arrived at the hotel very late at night, even though our reservation specifically was for 2 adults and 2 children, the room had only 1 bed ready, when I called the reception they said “we did not saw the 2 children in the reservation” one the children was literally on our hands. So I asked for someone to make the bed, and someone came and had a very unhappy face and just gave us the bed sheets and went (we had to find out our selves how to open the sofa bed and do everything with 2 children at 2 a.m while the little kid was crying because he was so tired) Other then the issue with the check-in, the location of the hotel is great, food is ok (similar and very basic breakfast every day), and for some reason the room wasn’t cleaned even though we had the special sign on our door.

Excellent location and perfectly pleasant however to be excellent overall they’d need to improve technology facilities in the rooms… e.g. usb ports, smart tv. We stayed in an apartment and I found the layout odd (toilet being other side of apartment to bathroom). We also needed more pillows. Breakfast was also average. Again not bad, but with a bit of finessing with some more options it could have been excellent.

This will be as balanced as possible, because there are genuinely positive points about the hotel, but they're undermined by fundamental mistakes. Positives: - The staff were genuinely hard-working, eloquent in my language, and sought to help the best they could. They are a credit to the Radisson brand. - The cleaning staff were equally hard-working, trustworthy and efficient. - The location of the hotel is incredible, and it's a brilliant hub between attractions in old Bratislava. - The rooms are reasonably well equipped. Negatives: - The beds are dreadful. Very firm, and each bed comes with a single pillow that is very flat and unsupportive. Despite two adults booking a single room, we were given two single beds. - One of our nights was severely disrupted by being situated directly above a night club within the hotel building. The night club runs between 10pm and 5am and is extremely loud. As a word of caution, if you are placed in a room on first floor over the weekend, you are probably not going to sleep well. To the hotel's credit, they eventually refunded me some compensation, and moved us to a different room the following night. - The bathrooms seemed to vary from room-to-room. In both rooms we had, the shower guard didn't prevent the shower flooding the floor. - Despite being a premium-price hotel, access to the gym and pool is charged at 15 euros for three hours. This is not made clear on the booking pages. - The copy and paste feedback this review will receive.
