Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Toronto Airport

Friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet room, comfortable beds. There was a constsnt drip in our bathroom sink, but it did not disturb sleep. One of the two elevators was out of order the whole stay, and the other made concerning noises. The breakfast area was very poorly designed, making it difficult to get things, and leading to long waits to get food in the morning, especially nearing the end of breakfast time. Parking was convenient, but at an extra $30 per night.

Pool and hot tub had dirty scummy water--- major turn off.

Very spacious and clean room. Great breakfast and service. Shuttle bus on time. The only "bad" things is that the jacuzzi was out of order.

I had a very good stay. The strange part was using the pool. It was scorching hot like a hot tub, while the "hot tub" was cold. So no one really enjoyed swimming in a hot tub-pool and it was disappointing for my kids. I don't know whether it was some kind of mistake with the plumbing or engineering but it was weird.

The good. Rooms were cleaned and had comfortable beds. Service was good as well. There was a problem with our bed at check I and they sent maintenance to fix it right away. The bad. The pool was exceptionally moldy and dirty. Overall pool area was dirty as well with soaked and dirty floor. Hot tub was even worse. We could bring ourselves to get in it.

Elevator not working 1st check in day

Tidy, breafast is good. THEY CHARGE $30 for parking be aware.

We booked on line and paid the whole cost ahead and when we arrived we were told there was a parking fee of an extra $30.00 . This was not mentioned in our booking fee and is not right. We parked on the property (outside) that we already paid for. In all of our hotel stays we have never been charged extra at the desk upon arrival, after paying our total fee at time of booking. Not nice and very dishonest business.

Hotel was relatively basic which was fine. Hot tub was not working and pool was cold and dirty. Given the pool and hot tub were the main reasons we booked, was very disappointing.

Multiple pieces of gum stuck to the carpet. The desk had not been cleaned and had smears of something all over it. The walls were stained in multiple places and one spot had been repaired with drywall and had not been repainted or re-wallpapered. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Housekeeping was vacuuming at 9pm. While vacuuming, they continued to bang the door with the vacuum, which woke up our baby, who had just fallen asleep. Then, the next morning, housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30am, waking our baby out of his first nap. When I answered the door, she said "Just checking" and walked away. When we mentioned it to the front desk, he just said "Sorry" and shrugged. Breakfast was very good. The staff was very nice and attentive. Checking out was fine, didn't know you needed your room key to leave the parking garage... So needed help with that. Good value, but probably wouldn't stay again...

It was a super unpleasant experience for the one night we stayed. Kid discovered a bed bug on the sofa. Night shift staff came to the room and removed the bug, as well moved us to a different room and promised a follow up by manager “soon”. But one week later management never responded on the issue even after I emailed to follow up. We had a sleepless night there and kid developed rashes after. I asked in the morning to the front desk and was told that “it has been at least 6 months since the last bed bug incident”. It sounded like bed bugs were not big deal at this hotel. Shocking! This was our first experience staying at this hotel, Traumatized and disappointed!

there are ants in our room, we left a sandwich on table, 30 minutes later there are tons of ants eating our sandwich, this room is on the top floor of the hotel, so I guess this ants problem is every room's problem.

Room was very clean. Staff were also polite and very helpful. The continental breakfast had a lot of choice. Overall a great experience

We stayed at the hotel during a business trip and while the hotel was hosting evacuees. My coworker woke up with bites all over his body. He went to the doctors who said it is bed bug bites. Hotel staff are wonderful, hotel itself was great but bed bugs are terrifying.

The room was musty and all 4 guests woke up with runny noses and eyes, sneezing and generally not well. Smelled like mold and dust in room.

Clean room, friendly staff, well kept facility, huge room! And covered parking!

Staff were awesome. I was really early to check in. My room wasn’t ready so within 10 mins they had upgraded me. Thanks

Large comfortable rooms, super comfy beds with nice linens. Quiet. Great location

The room was clean, but could use some renovation/modernisation. Except the tv everything was very old.

The room we got was supposed to have a queen bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was disgustingly dirty. There were stains on it and was very uncomfortable.

Room was ok, no new upgrades, everything was old

Very punctual and helpful shuttle bus driver. Pick up from Pearson was easy. The room is clean and spacious. Wi-Fi is excellent. Yes 5 stars

The air conditioner in our room developed an extremely loud buzzing noise extremely early in the morning. As a result, we got very little sleep. Getting a replacement room was pointless as we were only there a night and we wouldn't have been able to get back to sleep.

Two night stay. Great staff, nice welcome at check in. Spacious suite, well appointed.

The staff were friendly and was convenient for the airport, although would say this property is quite dated. The heating in the room would make a very loud noise when it would start in the middle of the night, which kept waking me up.

Called ahead and they allowed for early check-in. Would recommend this hotel.

The front desk clerk ( Roberta) was not very pleasant while checking in. We had a very long day and were checking in at about 9pm, she was very unpleasant and not very welcoming. Rolling eyes and condescending jestures. Will not stay at this hotel again. 😠

Our stay was excellent! Most friendly curteous staff, very helpful, knowledgable, always ready to please....from front desk, eating area/bar and cleaning ladies Nice to see these people with a smile and a greeting always! Our suite was great....loved it

The front desk gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant and everything went so smooth I thought I was dreaming. Thank you for a great kick off to our vacation.

Super friendly staff. Being an airport hotel they understand the random challenges of flight arrivals and delays. Checked in me in early without any fuss. In fact, offered breakfast in the dining area while I wait for my room to be ready. Good functional room, bed and shower.

After a long flight, and having a overnight connection in Toronto, I booked a room at the Fairfield, upon arrival they said they had emailed me(they had not), that they could not accommodate me due to some Government officials staying longer. I had checked in online the day before, before starting my journey, there was no phone call or email made on their part. They put me up in a different hotel at no Extra cost which was nice on their part, on arrival the other hotel tried to bill me for a room that I had already paid for, we hashed it out that I had already paid and the Fairfield said there was no extra cost. Then upon check out I got billed $70 extra dollars which I can only imagine is for the difference in hotel rooms. The front desk could not answer me why I was billed $70. All in all a terrible experience after a long flight and just wanting to get some rest before the next one

This property accepts reservations and then close to the reservation date sends the person to another hotel (Crown Plaza). I’m sick of being booted out of the place I reserve with zero explanation. This hotel seems dishonest and unethical to me in its reservations approach

New favourite airport hotel. 24 hour shuttle, 24 hour front desk, nice bar, complimentary breakfast, delicious coffee. Room was big, clean, had everything you need for a nights rest. Staff were all very cheerful and helpful. For the price, this place is 10/10 for a night before or after travel.

Hotel is clean and staff very helpful. My TV wasnt working and they sent someone to sort out remote immediately! Shuttle to and from airport was easy to find and comfortable! My go to airport when flying in and out of Toronto!

Close to airport, shuttle convenience, rooms are nice, spacious and clean.

We enjoyed the access to shuttle service which enabled us to easily connect to the trains for downtown Toronto. The hotel provided breakfast each morning. A service we totally enjoyed and appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were always friendly and accessible. We would choose this hotel again.

This hotel was not what I was expecting. There was no shuttle service from the airport at the time our flight got in - at midnight . We had to take a $25 cab - for a 5 minute ride if that. He informed me they don’t run shuttles that late - even though the website states 24 hour service. When we got to the hotel there were security guards outside - and what appeared to be homeless people everywhere - which is fine - but it seemed to be the hotel was housing them. I shared an elevator with my two nine year old girls, twice, with people who were intoxicated and smelled terrible - they were wearing reflective vests, as were the majority of the other people who appeared to be homeless and staying there . The whole place stank, the elevators, our room, my kid checked everywhere for bed bugs and didn’t want to stay, only we had no choice as our plane wasn’t leaving until noon the next day. My little girl dropped a chip on the floor before going to sleep and in the morning when we woke up it was completely covered in ants - we were on the 10th floor. The “free breakfast “ was disgusting looking eggs and sausage rounds. Worse breakfast I ever seen out of my 30 plus years of travelling. For a hotel that cost $178 it’s 100% not worth it. We left 4 hours early for the airport because we couldn’t stand to wait there. My kids wouldn’t even swim.

For being so close to the airport you could not hear the planes, making my stay quite!

Enjoyed our stay. Very convenient 24/7 shuttle to airport that arrives every 30 minutes. Very quiet inside the hotel and staff were helpful with directions on how to get the shuttle from the airport

Terrible hotel. Breakfast was an abomination. Everything's served on plastic and then thrown away at the end - unbelievable in the 21st century that this is even allowed to happen! Breakfast selection terrible. Swimming pool was freezing. Its warmer to swim in the nearby glacial lake. Tv signal was bad and crackly. Yhe restaurant and bar was closed. Had to go to Hilton next door. The only positive was the transfer bus to the airport and the bed was relatively comfortable. Otherwise avoid at all costs.
