Vila Gale Cerro Alagoa

It was dated building , with paint coming off and walls with crack inside rooms. Bath tub had sealant weathering away and yellowish all over. More like a 2 star if going by star rating . Their pool is not monitored by life guards and timing of gym and sauna is really unhelpful with it all being shut at 7 PM

The Vila Gale Cerro has everything that you would need at a resort hotel. We were able to enjoy the pool area which had food and drink options throughout the day. Pool was a bit cool but refreshing and large - perfect for a hot day. We had no problem finding pool loungers in the middle of the afternoon - plenty of space. The location of the hotel is also convenient for walking to the beach and nightlife. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony. Great option for a stay in Albufeira!

The hotel was in a perfect spot for us, two middle age gents over for the weekend playing some golf. Close enough to the old town craziness for a drink and some food but not on your doorstep. It is also in the perfect spot to pick up the main road and get to the courses. We never waited more than 2min for an Uber. The hotel itself was clean and the breakfast buffet served its purpose. We had the suite room, and for two, it was ridiculously spacious. Only slight gripe with the room was the lighting as it was quite time and only lamps for the bedroom/living room. Other than that I’d say better than a Premier Inn not as nice as Marriott. Now for the cons on our stay. - Steam room was out of service usually not a problem but given it was raining on the Saturday of our stay we did want to make full use of the facilities. - You had to buy and wear a swimming cap to use the indoor pool, I feel if this is a rule it should be stated upfront on the hotels facility listings. - The boiler had broken in the hotel so there was no hot water from 1-4pm during our trip. This was a bit of a pain when I used the gym at lunch and then had to have an ice shower. - Finally there isn’t a single iron in the hotel and for me that’s not good enough for a location with a 4* status. That said the staff were great and did get my few bit ironed in a 4-5hrs turn around granted for a fee. Overall though I would definitely stay again and use as a base for any Algarve golfing trip.

Hotel is located between the old town and new town of Albufeira, so you get to enjoy both areas. There are entertainments every night, organised by their manager known as Marcos, very nice gentleman. Hotel is not noisy at all, even with the nightly entertainments which start from 9pm until 11pm. Breakfast and dinner are lovely and very tasty. We had a great time in Albufeira and the hotel experience was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be returning there in the near future.

L’emplacement est idéal pour manger, épicerie et un petit train pour se déplacer. La vieille ville d’albufeira est accessible à pied. Piscine propre, manque quelques places car les gens réservent leur chaise et quitte par la suite aller déjeuner. Je conseille fortement cet hôtel.

Once we were allocated an acceptable room, our stay was excellent. The standard room was very comfortable with great views over the pool and sea into the distance. Pool itself was excellent but surrounding sunbeds not cleaned and many aspects of the hotel could do with updating.

If you book this property you wont regret it. Great value for money, location, indoor pool and spa and breakfast.

Vi bokade ett rum mot poolen men vi fick ett rum mot gatan med mycket störande trafik Rummet var gammalt, stank avlopp, sängarna var stenhårda med äcklig filt som täcke, fåtöljerna var ner suttna, vi hade bokat 4 nätter och var på väg att lämna efter en natt Vi fick ett nytt rum mot poolen som vi betalat för! var fortfarande gammalt men luktade inte avlopp men med samma sängar och filt, trevlig personal som beklagade allt och blev bjuden på middag och dryck en kväll. Jacuzzin kan ni glömma, en jacuzzi på en diameter 1,8m till ett hotel på ca 300 rum är löjligt att ha, inomhus poolen var man tvungen att köpa badmössa för att använda, konstigt? Fin och stor frukost, fint och stort poolområde nära centrum Vid utcheckningen berättade dom att man kan få andra madrasser till sängarna. Tråkigt också att dom krävde betalning för mat och dryck som dom egentligen skulle bjuda på? Det var ju vi som skulle ha ersättning inte dom. Ett fyrstjärnigt hotell som definitivt stjärnorna håller på att slockna, var ett bra hotell för 20 år sedan!

I don’t feel it merits a 4star rating. Lacking some amenities. Room floor could’ve been cleaner, very dusty. Hotel a bit far from old town, but got used to the walk. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was very good. Room was quiet except for when neighbors had tv too loud. Bed was a bit hard, but okay. Couldn’t use the Spa facilities, twice went down and it was full of children. 6 kids in the whirlpool, and lots of yelling and screaming. Spa should be for adults to relax in! Stayed in February, I imagine summer would be impossible. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Sehr schönes Hotel. Tolle Poolanlage outdoor und indoor. Zimmer sind schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen und man findet teilweise unsaubere Fugen im Badezimmer. Personal ist sehr freundlich und es wird sich gekümmert wenn man ein Problem hat.

Bed was comfortable, tv and air conditioning are fine. Had a duvet which isnt needed in august. Hair dryer has time limit of a minute. Floors of room werent being swept. Water presdlsure in sink a bit low. Great buffet breakfast, nice pool with morning activites and nightly entertainment. Internet for phone was fine but for a laptop keept playing up.

We had a fabulous few days stay. The property was very clean, staff and amenities were excellent. The breakfast selection was great and the hotel was the perfect location for a short stroll to the Old Town for evening diinng. Very happy.

This is not a 4 star hotel. The amenities are in good shape but the rooms are very outdated. For the safety box they charge a fee per day and for the indoor pool you need to wear a head cap which also they sell. The AC does not work, it just throws air but not cold air. We reported this issue and they did not fix it.

I picked this one because it is close to everything and I wanted a gym. Everything was clean but pretty dated. The sofa in the room was so uncomfortable and the lighting was terrible. They have no tissues in the rooms and none are available. They also have no iron or ironing board. My husband went to a shop down the street and had to buy one since our clothes were wrinkled from being in suitcases. Another guest was there buying one at the same time and the woman at the store said they sell a lot to hotel guests.

The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel room was very dated and the primary AC stopped working late at night. Other than that, it was a lovely overnight stay.

Hotel muy bien situado, centro comercial a pocos metros, mucho restaurantes y tiendas justo en frente al cruzar la calle, gran zona de aparcamiento gratuito en la puerta. El bufet del desayuno muy bien, muchos productos muy bien ordenados. Todo muy limpio y muy buen trato. Volveremos.

This hotel was in the perfect location! Less than 10 min walk to the beach area where you could enjoy the water and walk to old towne. Also a short walk (15 mins) to the strip. Quiet area with restaurants within minutes.
