Excellent hotel in the middle of Oslo and right next to the tram station. I never used a car. The room was nice and clean, even if on the smaller side. The gym is very good for a hotel gym. The breakfast is phenomenal!! I was very impressed by the selection they have. And the staff is superb! Couldn’t be happier.

Absolutely wonderful hotel in a gorgeous location. The hotel was extremely clean, the staff was so friendly and kind, and the free breakfast was the best I've ever had in my life. Also had a great dinner with fantastic food and drinks. The gym is fully stocked with everything you could need, and it has a nice lounge. 10/10, no complaints!

The restaurant at this hotel serve the best breakfast we had throughout our entire tour of both Norway and the UK! The room was nice and we loved the lounge as well. A very nice day. The only thing I could say that I wish was different, was that you had parking.

Hotel bem localizado. O quarto que ficamos era acessível, e portanto bem espaçoso. O inconveniente era o chuveiro, que acabava molhando todo o banheiro. A academia é boa, mas pouca aparelhagem para exercícios de inferiores. Água com gás e sem a vontade para pegar. Em frente ao hotel tem um ótimo pub que fica aberto até mais tarde com comida. Nem todos os restaurantes ficam abertos e servindo comida. A maioria só bebida. É bom ficar atento ao relógio (época de primavera/verão que escurece depois de meia noite) para não perder o horário do jantar! Reservas garantem que não precise recorrer a fast food.

We stayed 3 nights and the hotel is very central. There is a large hospitality suite on the top floor with an ice machine, nesspresso coffee machine and both flat and sparkling water taps. Our room was quite quiet except for the tram line. Friends stayed in a room in the front of the hotel which was quite noisy The included breakfast was very impressive with lots of hot and cold choices Definitely recommend this hotel. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. A special mention to Victoria at the front desk who went out of the way to give us directions and recommendations for sights and meals.

The Thon Rosenkrantz hotel is conveniently located in the Oslo city center. The hotel has elevators and a nice guest lounge on the 8th floor. You can walk to all the central city sites. You can book bus tours to main sites outside the city center, or take convenient public transportation. The hotel breakfasts are excellent - I can not dispute the guide rating as best in Norway. The hotel has an Italian restaurant for dinners, but not all nights (not a problem as there are many restaurants with 3 blocks). Contrary to some travel guides there is no included light dinner. Parking in Oslo is expensive - we used the hotel valet parking for 600 kroner )about $55) per day. If you self park you will pay $40-$50 per night.

Over forventning. Rommet var stort (business) og hadde alt jeg forventer på et hotellrom. God kaffe, kald drikke, morgenkåper, boose-høytaler, vinoptrekker, gode hygiene-produkter, digg seng. Det var rent, det var pent! Frokosten var helt topp! Vi kommer tilbake! Veldig fornøyd!

We rated this only a 3 mainly because of the room. It was not just small but not well thought out. No bureau but a rather large wooden piece for an ironing board and iron. No mirror except in the bathroom and no toiletries. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel spotless and the breakfast outstanding.

First of all, I need to commend the front desk staff for being so friendly and helpful! There was not a single time we passed by the desk that we weren't greeted by the staff. I also greatly appreciated being able to check in early and leave our bags, rather than finding somewhere to store them. Our room had a great view and although the room was small, we found it quite comfortable. The location is great, walking distance to some great shops, restaurants, and the transit system is very robust in this area. There was a bit of noise from the street, so if you are sensitive to that, you may want to use some ear plugs. At the end of the day, I would gladly stay at another Thon hotel.

Overall it was a good stay. Breakfast was amazing and the wait staff there were fantastic. We had some issues early on in our stay. There was a used shower cap hanging in the bathroom when we arrived and then we poured some wine that was in the room and realized the glasses were dirty after the fact. Didn’t say anything at the time but did mention it at check out. Still got charged for the wine even if we didn’t finish it since we poured it down the drain due to the dirty glasses. Got the impression the person didn’t believe me but all good. Overall it was a nice hotel. Rooms a little on the small side.

If you’re staying here for a great location for walking or if you want an incredible breakfast this is your spot! If you want any sleep!! This is NOT your place to stay. When I mentioned how incredibly loud it is at night with the bars and very loud music and taxi cabs picking and dropping off loud drunk people, the front desk said yes it is and shared with me next time to request a room on the backside of the hotel higher up than the second floor. How would I know that? I was traveling with my 75+ parents from the states and they were exhausted from lack of sleep. I would just go for the breakfast and stay somewhere else.

The front desk staff was very helpful. The room was smaller than expected and outdated. It was very clean. There was a bar across from the hotel that doesn’t close until 3:00 AM and it was extremely loud. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Room was incredibly small and dated. Shower flooded the bathroom every time we used it. Very hot in room and no way to cool it. We were given a fan. Breakfast was fantastic! Staff was helpful! Location very good.

We stayed at the Thon Rosenkrantz for 4 nights. From the moment we were met by a very pleasant and helpful Aksel at the front desk, to our beautiful room on the 8th floor, to the outstanding breakfast service, both food and staff, and the most delightful and caring housekeeping staff member throughout our week, we enjoyed the hotel and all of the staff immensely. The location is great. The Thon Rosenkrantz is a truly outstanding 5 star hotel.

Very clean . Great breakfast. Good location. Staff very helpful especially Georgina.Had a little difficulty with one man on swing shift. Somewhat condescending. TV would not turn on than not off. Door handle would not open several times they needed a hammer to open it.

Very friendly welcome on arrival and this was consistent with all staff throughout our stay. The room was phenomenal and breakfast outstanding. We stayed at several properties throughout Norway, this was our favorite. The staff was extraordinary, giving great recommendations and very accommodating...super customer service oriented. The hotel was warm, welcoming, breakfast was amazing! They have nominated as one of Norways best! All around, A+++ I don't give the best reviews easily!

We had booked a non-smoking Superior room and obviously paid extra for it. We were given an Accessible/Handicap room (522) which had a very inconvenient bathroom. On addressing this with the reception we were told that it wasn't really an Accessible/Handicap room!!! I've been travelling for 50+ years and know such a room when I see it. Poor experience for a Thon hotel - they should be ashamed giving us the incorrect room and then lying to us.

Hotel is excellently located and everything is walkable. Really friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is very good indeed. We were given an upgrade and even though our room was opposite the lifts we didnt hear any noise. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Breakfast alone is worth staying here. The selection is outstanding, from fresh breads, fruits, salads, pastries, veggies to an array of the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes one expects. Really fine quality, assortment, and presentation. The only problem is deciding what NOT to eat! Another impressive feature was the staff. To a person, staff was friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and personable. The room was fine, not exciting but perfectly comfortable. If there was anything we found worthy of criticism it was the shower stall with two hinged glass doors. If the two were not perfectly aligned, the bathroom floor would get very wet and slippery. And, too, perhaps the room numbers could be a bit smaller! The huge numbers are something of an eyesore. The addition of a luggage cart guests can use, especially since the hotel has no porter, would enhance the property and not be a big expense.

We stayed at several properties throughout Norway, this was our favorite. The staff was extraordinary, giving great recommendations and very accommodating...super customer service oriented. The front desk & restaurant staff is excellent and very helpful. The restaurant food is delicious. The breakfast buffet is wonderful! We spilled water on our bed. When we returned in the afternoon the bed was made but the sheets, duvet, and mattress pad were still wet. The kind front desk gentleman helped me strip the bed. He said the sheets were not cleaned every day. He returned with the head of housekeeping to remake the bed, the staff was gone.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location was central to many transport options and lots of local tourist highlights and restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The only downside was our room faced several bars that didn’t close until 3.30am and they were very noisy which did impact our ability to sleep.
