Excellent rooftop bar and basement wine bar. Extensive breakfast. Staff very helpful. Only negatives , no ramp to get luggage up stairs in foyer and floors 4-5, and outward opening doors have to be locked with swipe card when leaving but nothing on door regarding this. Luck that we realised as always check door when leaving however our friends were unaware and inadvertently left door open.

Det fine med Grand er jo beliggenheten, stilen i baren og det ærverdige preget. Vi hadde et De luxe rom som var veldig stort, men manglet for eksempel hårføner, leselys, plass til å sette ting ved vasken på badet. Det ble varmt om natta da aircondition er så som så (ingen temperaturmåler). En av tingene jeg har satt pris på er å kunne ta seg en svømmetur i spa-avdelingen. Dette kostet nå 250 kr uten at det var noen informasjon om dette noe sted. Frokosten har stort forbedringspotensiale, du må vente på tur fordi demensomsorgen noterer romkamerat skal geleide hver og en for å finne et bord. Ineffektivt og irriterende. Velger ikke dette hotellet neste gang.

Well maintained historic building. Employees are very professional and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms I saw have only showers - no bath. One has to walk a short stairs up to access elevators from the lobby, making it difficult for elderlies or for people with heavy bags. Hallways also have random stairs. Usually there is no bellman in the lobby, and it can be a hassle to open the heavy entrance doors. The front entrance would benefit from a redesign to limit cold air draft in the bar.

Fantastisk hotel, high standard. Flott rom med veldig god seng, flott moderne bad, safe og minibar. Fint Spa med basseng og flere typer sauna, parkering i kjeller. Flott Rooftop bar med super service. Veldig god frokost. Veldig fornøyde med oppholdet.

While Grand Hotel is a fantastic historical place to visit, it is NOT handicapped friendly. Access and physical hindrances make it unreasonably difficult to appreciate the environment which is unique. Our junior suite had No handicap facilities (although requested beforehand). Professional, service minded personnel did their best to make our 8-day stay pleasurable.

Really a disappointing stay. Many things in the room was not repaired or not working, gym was well whipped, but none of the machines were maintained in many things were broken. There was a fire alarm in the night, which apparently is because the building is old. When it happened no instructions from people working there not even an excuse for keeping us awake at 03 am. Wine cellar was closed even though it was announced being open. Cannot recommend this hotel at all. Drink drinks looked amazing in the menu, but was totally out of taste and watery. However, the roof terrace was OK but the same type of drinks.

A nice hotel very convenient for all Oslo has to offer. Close to train station and other transport options. Breakfast was very busy at the weekends and queues were a result. The food could have been much hotter. I would not expect to pay extra to access the pool in a five star hotel. Room service was very quick and the food tasty.

The property was beautiful and the room was large for non/US standards. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom nice sized. Not a lot of counter space, but that's a bit expected. It was WARM in Oslo and the A/C was minimal. There was no fan, so we opened the windows. We were on the back side of the hotel and the noise was so significant that we got very little sleep. There were a number of stairs to be navigated and we each had a large suitcase and carry-on. Those were our only issues. Staff was lovely.

I forhold til prisen (3000,- pr. natt) var dette oppholdet en skuffelse. Rommet var utrolig varmt og det var umulig å stille på temperaturen, proppen i badekaret var ikke tett og vannet var såvidt lunkent. Frokosten var også dårligere enn vi hadde håpet med lite utvalg og mye støy. Forstår at våre forventninger var litt høye siden vi har hatt en tanke om at Grand Hotel er hakket mer eksklusivt enn mange andre hoteller i byen, men etter vår mening finnes det mange billigere hoteller i Oslo som er bedre. Heldigvis var sengene gode og servicen i resepsjonen bra, men konklusjonen vår er at dette ikke var verdt pengene.

Overall the hotel had charm, but the rooms were dated, carpet was dirty in places and the service wasn't great. Specifically Tom, the booking manager, was very unhelpful and rude. Thankfully the hotel manager, Henrietta, stepped in and helped me. I would stay again if they did a complete remodel of all rooms and trained their staff in proper customer service and just being polite.

Construction out our windows started at 7:00 in the morning. It was a loud grinding sound. There was no notice provided on the website of this construction which could be heard 7 stories up. When brought up to the front desk there was no accommodation made. The basic response: “ we cannot control the construction noises outside.” It was a disappointing end to a week long trip made through multiple Expedia bookings.

Grand Hotel was stunning. Such obliging and friendly staff. Bed so comfy. Breakfast was extensive and our dinner at the Grand Cafe very enjoyable and don’t let the name deceive you. Level 8 roof top drinks, providing a spectacular view, were perfect after a day of walking and staff were helpful with cocktail selection. Hotel Grand is very centrally located.

This is a very busy hotel! Curiously there are 5 steps up to access the lifts. Room service dinner was excellent. The Cafe menu was OK, the restaurant difficult to get into. Good bars on the ground floor and roof. Good and helpful concierge and luggage storage. It was always very busy in and around reception where the space is limited. Breakfast in the cafe was chaotic - a buffet with good variety but so busy!
