Parking easy. Great central location. The check in was a pleasure; the hotel reception comfortable; the garden lovely. The room overlooking the Loire, clean and bright. Huge bath with shower over; L’Occitane products; large towels; efficient heated towel rail; separate w/c off the room lobby. The staff were extremely helpful. I would happily stay here again.

The swimming pool was TINY, pictures are deceptive. it was overrun with children the entire time we stayed, we didn’t find a single time to use it where we could even get in and out of the water with ease around the family that had taken over the area. Their swimming items were strewn along the edge of the pool area drying - towels, swimsuits, dressing gowns - everything. So it wasn’t picturesque it was a families washing line. The carpet in the room is the type that should be used on heavy traffic hotel corridors and airport lounges. It felt horrid underfoot, was made from plastic and was not nice to get out of bed on to. There was nothing luxurious or nice about it. It felt cheap. The curtains in our room had holes in all over. The cleaning products used within the hotel didn’t seem eco friendly. The bathroom products weren’t refilled, the coffee machine used single use pods that go to landfill. Sachets of all things to accompany it. The restaurant wasn’t equipped, nor would it accommodate vegetarian diners nevermind vegan diet. In this day and age this should be basic provisioning. Having ran chalets in France for ten years, this is easily doable and should be accommodated. Local supermarkets contain plenty of options to offer an vegan breakfast so I have no idea why this is so difficult or why cheese containing rennet as a vegetarian option is suggested. We arrived on a very hot day +32 to check in, and we had to stand waiting a long time while given dining suggestions.

Family room seemed like it was intended for people with pets. Washable floor. Basement feeling. Maybe attic would have been better. Pool looks beautiful in photos but is very tiny and crowded. They put tags on their towels for fear you will steal them.

Loved this hotel it was under the chateau and we had a lovely view of it. Nice location, well decorated and nice and clean. The room had everything you needed and there was a nice bar and garden area. The pool was nice and heated.

Wherever we stay, the quality of the welcome and of the service we receive is the single most important thing. And here it was wonderful. From checking in to checking out staff couldn’t do enough - friendly, helpful, informative. The hotel itself is a beautiful building based around a lovely garden where we at each morning. We arrived with a big dog who was clearly as welcome as us (one of the managers brings his dog to work). The room was clean and spacious, the bed comfortable and reasonably large and - importantly given the weather and unusually for so many hotels - the air conditioning was first rate. The pool is small but more than enough to cool off before sitting in the shade with a beer. The hotel is on the outskirts of Saumur, but only 5 minutes walk to the centre. Saumur itself is lovely - small enough to be accessible, large enough to feel lively. Lots of history in the town and nearby (Angers, Chinon, Blois). All in all we had a wonderful stay.

The rooms were good and staff great but please don’t pass yourself off as what you are definitely not? Spa? I don’t think so. What sold me originally was the picture of the pool and hottub.we thought how nice to soak at the end of a 60 km Loire valley ride……not exactly. Oh the 15 foot pool is available if you pull the cover back but the hottub is an upcharge of 14.5 euro (23 Canadian) to sit in for 30 min? You gotta be kidding? And it’s one of those 1980-90s plastic small tubs that fits about 2 people. The steam room is similar and you get 20 min. Sad guys really sad. If you Lose this embarrassment I would give you a decent review. Can’t understand why you would pull this low budget salesmanship on your clients. You’re catering to a huge population of bike tourism. It should be a feature and not a con. Just say what you are. A nice hotel with good rooms and a courtyard with bike storage that has a wading pool and a hottub you can’t use. Or change the model. Really Liked the dog!

The property was lovely and clean and tidy, with lovely staff (with good English). Breakfast was good. We were expecting to be able to park in their car park, however it only had space for about 12 cars and it was full when we arrived (and they charge). We managed to park quite easily in the nearby carpark (which was free). There was no restaurant for an evening meal and most of the towns restaurants are closed on a Sunday and Monday (which we had no idea). The hotel staff recommended two, one, which was fully booked and the other that required a drive (or hotel taxi) to, but we'd been driving most of the day. We walked into town and found somewhere to eat, which was lovely. We did the town train to see the sights which was lovely, but feel that one day here was enough for us.

Vers minuit des clients de l’hôtel restent dans la cour à des tables rondes qui sont disposées sous les fenêtres jusqu’à 2h du matin. A n’importe quelle heure durant la journée des enfants ou adolescents font des sauts bruyants et s’interpellent en hurlant dans la petite piscine dont l’eau est douteuse … cela doit être sympathique pour les maisons de ville du voisinage . Dans le patio il y a des cendrillés épars et des mouchoirs sales …

les : la situation au top, bonne literie, petit dejeuner correct pour le prix, stagiaire à l'ecoute (plus que son collegue) les - : chambre mal agencée, cheveux salle de bain et taches sur les draps, accueil très moyen a la tete du client vraiment pas très agreable de passer pour un sous client, restauration sur place un peu juste pour un room service... je vais m'arreter la sur les -!!! avis tres mitigé sur l'hotel malgré un beau geste commercial a mon depart suite à mon avis sur notre séjour

Très bel établissement. Les chambres sont impeccables à tous points de vue: spacieuses, bien agencées; la salle de bain et la propreté sont parfaites. Accueil très chaleureux et prévenant. Le buffet du petit déjeuner conviendra à tous les goûts et vaut le détour!

This is a lovely hotel. It is right on the Loire and very central. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed. It is completely quiet at night with brilliant curtains that keep the light out. Breakfast is delicious and great value. We found parking to be fairly easy and we found a spot opposite the hotel. Saumur is a beautiful city and we had a fantastic visit. I highly recommend Hôtel Anne d'Anjou.

Superbe hôtel, chambre confortable. Bien équipé et calme.

Great stay, staff very attentive and friendly! Lovely room we were upgraded to which had fantastic views of the river. Unfortunately, when we went to bed we could only turn aircon down to 21C and it was a hot night. Reported it in the morning and they were going to have a look and rectify problem!

Accueil chaleureux, personnel sympa, environnement agréable, chambre propre et bien équipée. Le seul dislike est les murs ne sont pas assez isolés et on entend les bruits venant des autres chambres.

While this is an old building, it’s very well looked after. Excellent condition, excellent room. We had an attic room which meant no view except to the sky, but also meant plenty of space. Very dog-friendly (snacks and bowl of water in the room on arrival). Beautiful location on the riverside. On the negative side, breakfast is expensive for what it is (we just went to the town centre and spent half the amount).

Très bon séjour en famille dans une chambre « familiale » (un grand lit double et un canapé lit double dans une pièce en « L ») confortable et spacieuse, donnant sur la piscine en rez-de-chaussée (du coup avec peu de luminosité par contre, car dans la cour de la piscine, assez ombragée). Petit déjeuner de bonne qualité avec du choix salé et sucré, jus d’orange pressé possible, gâteau maison, bacon bien grillé… De bons renseignements donnés par le personnel, très aimable. Très bien situé à quelques rues du centre historique et de la place la plus animée avec des restaurants. Mais malgré tout très paisible.

As well seasoned travellers, this hotel stay has been a wonderful surprise. The staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful. The location is superior and the facilities outstanding.

If I could give this hotel a 100/5 I would! THE BEST staff we have have encountered in our travels of WU, Asia and the Americas! The staff went above and beyond to ensure they exceeded our every expectation! Accommodated us arriving early, called us taxis, called and made us reservations for meals and wine tastings. Super superb!

Chambre supérieure vue sur Loire agréable mais literie très moyenne … Service …. Quasi inexistant… photos de la piscine TRÈS améliorées ! Et du coup déception sur place … En résumé …. Ressenti très mitigé pour un 4* …

Everything about the hotel was spot on. We were met at reception by Nicholas who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Plenty of public parking spaces opposite the hotel entrance . Our room and the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated Excellent breakfast, would highly recommend, good value

The hotel staff recommended two, one, which was fully booked and the other that required a drive (or hotel taxi) to, but we'd been driving most of the day. We walked into town and found somewhere to eat, which was lovely. We did the town train to see the sights which was lovely, but feel that one day here was enough for us.

Great property in the center of everything. 1 min walk to Chateau. Breakfast was great also rooms have AC which is important in summer months.

We love this hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is in a great location for sightseeing and cycling through the villages on the Loire.

I absolutely loved this hotel . From the moment we checked in with the friendliest of welcomes the staff were fantastic. We parked opposite the hotel . The room was gorgeous with a view overlooking the loire. It was a superior double and was simply fantastic for the price we paid. A short stroll along the river front takes you to bars and retaurants. I would not hesitate to stay here again. . The bar prices were very reasonable too. We will definately come here again

Absolutely superb hotel! A real little gem close tonthe town centre. With a Michelin star restaurant in it's grounds and a lovely swimming pool overlooking the chateau. Can't recommend it enough.

Superb renovation which has created a lovely hotel. Spacious rooms ,comfortable beds, nice lounge and bar area. Good breakfast - shame that we couldn’t experience the dining room despite having asked 2 months before our arrival for a table to be booked on our first night ! (We were told it was fully booked for both nights of our stay). Helpful staff but as the restaurant is independent of the hotel they could do nothing re the dinner booking despite e mail evidence of our request. We were concerned that there was no shower mat as the shower cubicle floor was very slippery . We would happily stay again - if only to experience dinner !!!!

Fantastic Hotel and met all our expectations. Room was very good. Breakfast was superb. Very good value! Bar area very comfortable and drinks reasonably priced. Beautiful art deco style hotel with an amazing staircase. Very clean and tidy hotel. Staff were brilliant! Will definitely be staying here again particularly as the partner restaurant located across the courtyard was fablulous.
