Appointed to Room 215 - curtains did not close. Went and asked for another room. - curtains closed but did not quite get to the end of windows but accepted. Noisy due to traffic. Okay re cleanliness but - tap fell off, not even screwed in on bath/shower, conditioner lid broken, lamps broken and they extend out on to the bed so pillow had to come down bed so did not hit head. Elevator - I reckon it was built in the 1940's ....the door opened before it had reached the ground. Children scared to go in it. Carpet old. Not much variety for breakfast. Chef was lovely to chat to but the ladies, not much from them plus not helpful and I asked for my drink bottle to be filled with drinking water not tap water.....her reply was I can boil a jug for you but you would have to wait until it cools down or have hot water!!!!. Cement in parking area filthy. Pool very small. Not very 'inviting'. Will never return.

The lift smelt like urine and the carpets needs replacing and the room was very noisy plus we had to pay $27 per night for my car. will not stay there again

Lift is super noisy and kept me awake. Lack of good lighting in the room and only one PowerPoint. None near the bed. Carpet in hall horribly lumpy like been flooded. Wasn’t aware parking fee and $25 excessive.

The variety of food choices for the buffet breakfast was very generous.(cold and hot), and lady in charge of the buffet breakfast was extremely helpful and friendly. All the staff that I encountered in reception were also friendly and helpful. The only negative experience - there were strands of dark hair in the shower/bath (I have light coloured hair).

Was disappointed with our stay here over the past weekend. The property was old and rundown, yet we found to be quite expensive for what we got. The images of the room shown prior to booking didn’t match the room we got which was incredibly tiny for 3 people. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly as there was left over food in the fridge. Needless to say we will look to book elsewhere the next time we are looking to stay in this area.

I liked the closeness of 3 major hospitals in an area that is walking distance from each other and public transport ease and dinning options. The room I was staying in could of been cleaner the bed head was dusty and windows were not cleaned. The main window had a Brocken handle and would not close properly. Staff were great and room service was fast and efficient.

Remote control for TV was a different brand to the TV so did not work, shower base was chipped and scratched and unhygienic, toilet seat came down on your back when sitting in the toilet, shower water temperature changed to hot and cold and hot again frequently during shower, fridge froze water and drinks (even though it was not in the freezer), lift was old and clunky and noisy. For the price paid this accommodation was terrible, old, outdated, and dirity.

Needed a good revamp Air Conditioner not working properly. It was very warm in room said air con set at 19 but it was more like 28 very warm and uncomfortable. Cold water tap on hand basin did not work unless you turned on Fawcett under the basin if let on tap kept running. Power Point were few and by bed you had to get down on your knees as they were on one side under the side table . Staff were friendly though.

The buffet wasn’t worth the money, the bread was stale and they cook up the hot food ie bacon, so if your in a rush I wouldn’t recommend, Our room want the best, the tv didn’t work, the lights flicked on and off in the bathroom

I had booked my stay some months ago as I regularly stay at the Mercure when I travel for sport. The room they 1st gave me had 3 dormitory style single beds. I complained and was given what I had requested a double bed. The Wifi didn’t always work and TV could be turned on but not off.

Could not rate the breakfast lady Anny and the tall man on night shift highly enough the young women on reception in the morning seemed like she couldn’t be bothered helping with information when ask her attitude could do with some further training in people skills overall we were satisfied with everything else and would stay again

Overall was a good 2. Nights stay what was disappointing was that the tv had STAN Netflix and all that but it wasn’t programmed to the TV… what’s the point of having it on the tv if it can’t be used… but other than that location was good walking distance from trams and practically in the middle of the city but again the tv was a let down

The facility is very outdated, it was disappointing, the breakfast as it was included in my booking was cold particularly the "hot food" of the breakfast. The hallway leading up to the rooms smelled like old wet carpet. The reviews on Wotif was very misleading. No we would definitely not be staying here again and would not recommended to travellers. Not worth the money you pay for.
