The hotel itself was great. Friendly staff, nice, clean rooms, front desk operated well. What was a problem for us was the parking. The Courtyard needs to put something on their website about where you can park to check in. For visitors such as my wife and I we had to drive around the block 3 times to figure out where to park just in order to check in. We just traveled to Stuttgart and the property we are staying at had instructions to that effect - very nice. The area around the Courtyard is a little suspect but we did not incur any issues.

The property was nice and had a great bar and a nice restaurant. Our rooms were nice and clean. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to Old Town and is a little less expensive because of that. They had parking right under the hotel if you have a car which was nice. It was 20 Euros a night. They are also only about a 10 minute walk to the main train station. We would stay here again.

A great stay at a great location for Oktoberfest, which is only a 15 min walk away. Everything was clean, service was excellent all around, and there's a variety of stores nearby, including a clothing store in the hotel itself. Only negative notes is the ice machine was broken on our floor, and the breakfast was fairly average, nothing special. Would absolutely recommend, especially for anyone coming for Oktoberfest

Fabulous stay. Great hotel and totally unexpected on the street it’s located upon. The surrounding area is under heavy construction and geared more towards residential and local services than tourists. The welcome was great, we also were given our room 4 hours earlier than check-in, not the norm so don’t expect it. We eat in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. We drank at the bar, again excellent service. The room was exactly as ordered with a high floor requested at time of booking, it was clean, comfortable, well equipped and modern. It’s been a while too since I’ve stayed at a hotel were the air con was intuitive and worked as you expected. The cost of the room was acceptable for the brand but found the cost of the food and the drinks to be on the rich side. Even though the room was pre-paid, the hotel took a €50 per day deposit on a card for incidentals. I paid as I went so got the whole deposit back, be warned. The location is 5-10 mins walking distance from the central station and 10-15 mins walk int distance to the popular shopping district. Recommended hotel for weekends in Munich.

Das Serviceteam war sehr professionell und freundlich. Das Badezimmer war schmutzig. Die Duschwand hatte sichtbaren Schimmel und auch die Dusche war dreckig. Ein sichtlich betrunkener Gast wurde von der Rezeption ignoriert und ich musste ihm helfen, sich hinzusetzen – er hätte sich verletzen können Ich kann nicht sagen, dass dieses Hotel die Marriott-Kette repräsentiert.

The general cleanliness of rooms was very low... Dirty toilets and very dirty carpets... We even found a child's percifier under one bed (meaning that cleaning wasn't done under the bed) Stains were also visible on the room carpets

Overall a good hotel however the room was really warm although the outside temperature was cold. With the window open it was extremely noisy all night which was simply an issue with the area itself. The airconditioning made the room extremely dry whilst at the same time not cooling the room enough.

We had two twin beds in the room, which were comfortable and almost double in size. The AC worked well, and the room itself was clean with all the necessary amenities. Housekeeping came every day, and overall, the stay was very comfortable. However, the room had no view, and the carpet in the corridors leading to the room didn’t feel very clean. Neighborhood wasn’t the best, especially at night, it felt a bit sketchy and unsafe, with many adult clubs lining the street. That said, after a couple of days of stay, it felt alright as the neighborhood improves after a block or two of walking. There was a grocery store right next door, and all the major tourist attractions were within a walking distance.

Semi-convenient for the train station (which was why we picked it) but a wee hike in to the centre. The surrounding area felt a little unsafe on an evening - rather a back street - but the staff were all excellent and once inside the hotel it felt much better than its location and exterior would suggest. Very dodgy plumbing falling out of the wall, yet somehow still worked. Big climb in to the bath - no separate shower.

The area around was actually scary and I felt unsafe. I know being close to a central station is always a risk. Guys hanging around in small groups smoking and watching tourists made me uncomfortable especially returning after dinner at night. The noise in the hallway was also not helpful when you want to sleep in after a late flight. Daniel in the front desk was extremely nice and responsive. The others are very 'cold' to say the least.

Hotel is in a bad neighborhood but overall service and comfort is ok. Close to main train station. Close to city center but be aware that you need to walk in a bad neighborhood to get those. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and spacious. Check-in was really really slow. Staff were helpful.

The staff member that checked me in was fantastic and a pleasure to deal with. I liked that the property was within walking distance to the train station as well as the attractions and shopping. The reason for the bad rating is I had purchased a souvenir bag from Paris and had placed this bag along with others on top of the tv stand nowhere near the garbage and the staff members took my bag. I am very diligent of putting my garbage in the garbage so there is no way this would have been mistaken for waste and I am not even certain I didn't have any other souvenirs in the bag. When I went to checkout and let the front desk know they were not very helpful and told me it was up to me to email the manager. I sent the manager a message on July 15th, 2025 and am still waiting for a response.

An sich war alles gut und bequem, aber mit der Verständigung an der Anmeldung etwas schwierig wegen mangelnde Deutscherkenntnisse von Personal. Zusätzlich war mir die Höhe von Kaution nicht bekannt, es steht nirgendwo die Summe per Tag. Ausserdem wurden sehr mystische Beträge auf meinem Bankkonto vorgemerkt, immer nachts. Insgesamt in der Höhe fast 500 Euro. Die Mitarbeiterin im Hotel konnte es mir nicht erklären. Der Kautionsbetrag war schnell nach check-out verschwunden, die andere Beträge hängen dort immer noch.

The hotel is centrally located and is nice inside. The railway station and express bus to the airport are nearby and easily walkable. There are good places for morning coffee close by. The only downside is the area is a little seedy.

Close to train station about 20 minute walk to Marienplatz. Hotel is very nice, comfortable and breakfast was lovely. Dinner there was excellent. However the area is very dirty, sleazy and feels unsafe. Street drinking and drug deals in broad daylight.

Very nice room. Upscale with very friendly staff. The pizza in the restaurant and breakfast were excellent. Walking distance to the train station and car rental station. Several international restaurants nearby. A good bit of construction work in the area makes walking difficult, but possible.

I’m sorry to be writing this and I have never written a bad review on here but this time unfortunately I have to. We saw mice running around in the dining room one early evening when we were sitting in the bar area. Glad we never dinned at the hotel. The staff was clean the table tops but didn’t notice them at all. The areas is conveniently located close to the train station but there was a huge Hôtel renovation right across the street that was never mentioned and the noice was difficult to deal with. If we knew about this we would have booked another hotel. The streets around the hotel was filthy and it’s a bit seedy. I wouldn’t recommend the place for a family with young kids. I love Munich and it was my second time there but this time the hotel was disappointing.

Front desk staff and housekeeping were great. Not enough towels or extras in rooms. The restaurant was soooooo over priced, poor quality, lacked options, and manager was beyond rude!!! Would def stay away from restaurant. Overall stay was over priced for overall experience.

The hotel exceeded our expectations; very friendly staff, great & fresh breakfast and a restaurant that delivered a much better dining experience than what I would have expected from a Courtyard hotel. The area is far from cozy being close to the Central station but if you can live with that its perfectly fine and a good place to stay.
