Das Hotel liegt direkt am Deutschen Theater - für den Theaterbesuch ideal... auch für Sightseeing in der Münchner Innenstadt gut gelegen, alles fußläufig erreichbar! Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, für einen Kurzaufenthalt aber in Ordnung... Die Umgebung rund um das Hotel ist schon recht heruntergekommen. Parken kann man im einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus für 12 Euro / 24 h - das ist für die zentrale Lage akzeptabel. Frühstück hatten wir nicht, es sah aber recht "übersichtlich" aus - kostet aber nur 9 Euro! Der Empfang war sehr nett, wir konnten sogar schon um 11 Uhr unser Zimmer beziehen, das war toll!

Decent location. The room was so incredibly hot without air conditioning. They did provide fans but it was still sleepless hot nights. It's a pretty busy location and definitely was noisy up to midnight. If we didn't have to have the windows open it would have been fine. The elevator was horrendous though - It only fits one person with luggage and may not fit you if your luggage is too heavy! It is also super close to the main train station which was great.

Roligt udda hotell. Hyfsat nära tågstationen vilket var orsaken till varför vi valde det. Bra pris men det avspeglar sig på skick. Väldigt gammalt och slitet, hissen fungerade inte då dörrarna behövde hjälp att stängas och om vi var två i hissen gick överlasten. Mycket trevlig personal.

Equipe atenciosa, quarto espaçoso e super limpo. Muito bem localizado e máquina de café com barrinhas de chocolate gratuitas na parte da manhã. De negativo apenas o fato de o anúncio falar que tem estacionamento no local, mas não tem. O estacionamento disponível fica a 600 m do hotel e não permitem nem estacionar para descarregar bagagem, o que foi inconveniente, dado que tivemos que fazer várias viagens até o carro para levar e buscar tudo. Poderiam pelo menos flexibilizar o estacionamento no mínimo oara embarque e desembarque. Fora isso, foi ótimo.

Unglaublich, das dieses heruntergekommene Hotel mal 3Sterne hatte. Nichtmal der Mülleimer im Bad (kein anderer vorhanden) vom vorgast wurde geleert. Überall Haare und abgesifftes. Der „Teppichboden“ hatte sicher schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Einzig der ältere Herr am Empfang ( wahrscheinlich schon bei der Gründung dabei) war sehr bemüht. Zum Essen gibt es garnix! Der Lift kann maximal mit 2Personen betrieben werden, je nach Gewicht. Nicht zu Empfehlen!!!

Overall, the hotel is fine for a quick rest. However, many improvements would be needed to make it a great place to stay. Walls/windows are like paper sheets, the hotel and its surrounding was generally noisy. No breakfast was available during our stay. The cleanliness of the room could be generally better (mold in the bathroom, big spots on the carpet). Shower needs to be completely changed. The hotel lift is so old, I had to get to the fourth floor to make it go down to the reception, and go up to our room in two trips (the lift support at most 2 people at the same time). Holes in some public halls as well. Thus, the hotel should be globally refurbished.

Der alte Mann an der Rezeption abends beim Check In war wirklich sehr nett, dass muss man zuerst erwähnen. Das Zimmer war eigentlich auch sehr gut, aber der Teppich stank so sehr, dass man schwer in den Schlaf kam, wirklich wahr. Der Teppich war Nass, wahrscheinlich wurde dieser versucht vor der Ankunft aufzufrischen. Am Ende stank er trotzdem und man hatte Nasse Socken. Auf den Kostenlosen Kaffee oder Tee wurden wir von dem alten Herren hingewiesen, aber eingeladen als wir runterkamen in der früh wurde man nicht. Ich meine man möchte nicht so wirken und fragen:,, kriegen wir jetzt unseren kostenlosen Kaffee oder Tee?." Sowas kann von alleine angeboten werden. Dieses Hotel kann für mich persönlich kein zweites Mal gebucht werden. Die Lage war aber natürlich Top.

If only I could show the pictures I took of the room, one of the worst conditions I've stayed in for the amount I paid. There was what looked like a pubic hair on the fresh towels laid out, heater didn't work for 2 nights, mold on the shower..the carpet was horrid and the lift only goes to the 4th floor and you have to lift your baggage up a flight of stairs. Incredibly upsetting when I told the front desk she was like just write in and we will see what we can do.. like how can you call yourself and hotel with hair on the towels and black mold on the shower area

This hotel has excellent location and close to main train station (5min walk). Nothing fancy but accommodation is clean and central. Staff friendly, helpful and speak English which was very important for me.

Das Hotel und seine Zimmer sind bereits mehr als abgewohnt. Der Teppichboden ist schmutzig und mindestens 50 Jahre alt, die Matratzen sind maximal durchgelegen, die Einrichtung in einem Sperrmüll ähnlichen Zustand und auch das Bad lässt in Hinblick auf Sauberkeit und Sicherheit sehr zu wünschen übrig. In unserem Zimmer waren 2 Steckdosen inkl Verkabelung offen und nur halbwegs notdürftig mit Kreppband überlebt. So etwas geht tatsächlich überhaupt nicht und sollte schnellstmöglich behoben werden. Auch werden die Zimmer als schallisoliert beschrieben und angeboten was jedoch mehr einem schlechten Witz entspricht. Trotz Lage in Richtung Hof (keine Straßenseite) hatte man nachts das Gefühl in einem Raum ohne Wände zu liegen. Die Lage vom Hotel ist in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Stachus natürlich sehr gut.

Quarto grande com dois ambientes, com uma cama de casal e duas de solteiro, aquecimento estava bom, atendimento da equipe foi cordial, o hotel fica próximo a estação de trem central, e ao redor existem algumas casas de prostituição. Também existe vários restaurantes árabes próximos, com boa comida e preços mais acessíveis. Da para ir andando ao centro, que fica a cerca de 800 metros.
Quarto grande com dois ambientes, com uma cama de casal e duas de solteiro, aquecimento estava bom, atendimento da equipe foi cordial, o hotel fica próximo a estação de trem central, e ao redor existem algumas casas de prostituição. Também existe vários restaurantes árabes próximos, com boa comida e preços mais acessíveis. Da para ir andando ao centro, que fica a cerca de 800 metros.

Room was good but no kettle etc and bathroom layout a bit strange with shower stepped up. And the glass doors did not shut properly on one side so water could spray out. I would not stay here again.

The Hotel Deutsches Theater Downtown was perfect for our stay in Munich! It was within walking distance of the train station and many wonderful restaurants! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we needed extra towels, etc. and the room and bathroom were spacious. Not only did this room have four individual beds, but a desk and shelves with ample room for everything with lots of outlets! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Munich!

The reason I gave only 4 stars instead of 5 is because the wifi didn't reach our room (on the third floor). We had to leave our room and go into the staircase or down to the reception area where there was a little sofa and use the wifi. I would have much rather been able to access the internet from my room rather than be in community areas. It also meant the smart TV in our room was useless. I believe this problem can be easily fixed with a wifi booster or enhancer, as it seems they probably only have one router on the ground floor. I thought about giving only 3 stars because the location is in an uncomfortable area of town, with a strip club and sex store right next to the hotel that you have to walk by in order to get to the City center or the bus, but decided not to remove a star because they can't really control the location. The two people at the front desk were helpful and friendly, and i enjoyed stepping back in time into such an old building (and elevator!) I really think they should boost their wifi so all their guests can comfortably access the internet and use their TVs in their rooms.

Hotel in a very convenient area to train station and Old town. At night you need windiws open, and people were LOUD LOUD outside until 4-5 a.m. ( our room faced the main street). So plan accordingly. We got very sporadic small increments of sleep. Bed and pillows comfy/clean. Bathroom clean, bottom of shower is slick, so put a towel down inside without closing off the drain. I would stay again, but not facing the streetside. Easy check in, friendly staff. No coffee in room, but I think it was at the desk.

We got very sporadic small increments of sleep. Bed and pillows comfy/clean. Bathroom clean, bottom of shower is slick, so put a towel down inside without closing off the drain. I would stay again, but not facing the streetside. Easy check in, friendly staff. No coffee in room, but I think it was at the desk.

My room just smelt bad. Left window open both days and still bad. Difficulty getting back in after 22:30hrs and when I phoned the telephone number, the rude man just said go round to side and turn the lock with small key and then just hung up. Couldn’t have cared less about who I was, who I was with. If I was older or a female, I would have been very worried. A group of 5 other guests eventually managed to get in but none of us were told about this at check in. Good location for Munich HBF. Disappointing stay.

There’s no photos of rooms for a reason. The room was large, cold, and outdated. The carpet smelled moldy and the room looked like it was from an abandoned building. The photos on the site are of the theatre next door—essentially false advertising. The staff didn’t help with anything, except for the night staff who helped the most with WiFi and things like that. Everyone else was indifferent or rude. Taking personal calls while keeping me waiting or suggesting I “google” the area instead of providing suggestions for where to get clothes cleaned. The accommodation was not accommodating. I’d have preferred a smaller, modern, clean room. As it was the building looked like it was abandoned not too long ago and the elevator was broken while I was there.

The gentleman at check in was so very kind and gave us slot of information on the property. The hotel offered free coffee and tea each morning and had daily housekeeping with clean towels. In a good location easy walking distance to transports and food and coffee. I would recommend the location. Very nice people.

Jag hade inte räknat med något fancy, men vi längtade efter att komma därifrån. Området i sig kändes skumt.. När vi kom in i rummet var alla fönster öppna. Efter att ha stängt dessa och varit ute några timmar insåg vi varför - rummet luktade fotsvett! Det var ett himla liv utanför, väldigt svårt att sova. Varmt på rummet så fönstret behövde vara öppet, men med massa oljud på köpet. Kommer absolut inte rekommendera detta boendet.. 🙈 Personalen var däremot väldigt trevliga!

This was a terrible stay. The surrounding area is the red light district, not appropriate for children. The hotel room was loud with sirens from the outside all night. We got absolutely no rest. The water in the shower was scolding hot or ice cold. Furniture was broken and had 4 single beds randomly thrown into a room for a reservation for one adult and one child. The staff did not say one word to us after check in, not even a goodbye when we left. There is no breakfast or restaurant option at the hotel. The maids left towels and vacuum outside our room door for us to climb over at entry and exit.

Un hotel lindo por fuera pero las habitaciones se sienten con falta de mantenimiento muy básicas sin embargo el personal muy atento y está cerca de medios de transporte, tiendas, lugares que conocer me parece que val la pena aunque falta un poco de mantenimiento… Eugene en recepción y Robert fueron muy atentos, la chica muy poco atenta Sin embargo nos permitieron dejar nuestras maletas en guarda para regresar por ellas más tarde e incluso nos invitaron un café muy rico, fueron amables en todo momento es una estancia básica pero bien ubicada

Very tired old hotel. Can’t fault the cleanliness of the room but beds hard, had to sleep on another duvet to pad it out. No drink facilities in the room, nor downstairs until the morning when I could help myself to a hot drinks machine. No breakfast possibility either. Won’t be going back

Concierge on arrival was delightful. He gave excellent advice and was charming. Room was clean. Breakfast coffee was available on one of the days we stayed. Theatre created some noise and disruption . Good location for the centre.

This is a hard property to rate. Location: Close to the old town. Area feels a bit sketchy in the afternoon/evening. It is ok, during the week day. Staff: The old man at check in was lovely. Free tea and coffee in the morning which is a nice touch. That being said, what looks like a great value find, it priced about right for what you get. Parking: About 2 blocks away.
