Attractive dining area and nice rooms. Staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast buffet is pricey (as at all German hotels) but very good. Room was clean and comfortable. Carpet in room somewhat worn and other things could use a bit of maintenance. Nice bathroom, excellent shower. Area is near train station and so not the nicest but central and convenient. Wish they had a fitness room.

Very nice room at the end of the hallway, room 539. Spacious and comfortable. Minibar free, juice, water and beer. Coffeemaker. Nice bathroom. Quiet towards inner courtyard. Food available until 10.30pm, big plus. Public parking garage in same building, elevator to lobbyarea. Narrow entrance.. narrow street in general. Very nice and serviceminded guy in bar/restaurant, quick and pleasant service! Good food selection, ok priced.

The hotel was great and so convenient being located right next to the Hauptbahnhof. Everything was super clean and we loved the free mini bar in the rooms. We especially enjoyed the restaurant and bar where the food was amazing and the bartenders were incredible. Especially loved Dimi who would research any drink he didn’t know how to make and would create it for you.

Great experience. Only thing lowering from 5 to 4 stars was attention to detail in room "condition." Little things like chips of wood/finish on mini-bar, lose ends of carpet on staircase, bun mark in carpet. Very minor, but I wouldn't expect to see in a five-star hotel. In the 2-story room, a/c was insufficient. Because of cooler temps outside, we we able to use windows to cool, but during the summer months, we would have likely ask to move to a one-story room for better cooling. We LOVED the staff, restaurant/bar, front desk, etc., just the small touches.

I do not see how there are so many good reviews for this property. We booked it to be near the train station, which it was. The area around the property is not nice and seemed a bit unsafe. We were only there for one night, so that would have been ok, but our room had a strong odor. There was a sewer gas smell that never went away. Furnishings in the room were cheap. The smell coupled with the furnishings made the property came off as dingy.

The room smelled. It is close to the train station. The bar served decent red wine. Food ordered at the bar was ok. There were notable restaurants nearby but they were closed for the Holiday. Entry to check is was really small. Breakfast area was so crowded. Parking to unload was limited. We just didn’t feel safe out at night in the area.

Hotel is walkable from the central station (10 min). Area around the hotel doesn't look the best but is safe. Bedroom and bathroom were clean however shower door was leaking heavily and had to use towels to mop it up. Had called the front desk and was told a repairman would come in the morning but never did. Wasn't too concerned so we stayed only two nights. Wonderful breakfast buffet included with the stay. Appreciated the free minibar in the bedroom.

Very convinient location, just minutes walk from Munich's Central T station. Rooms and the building are nice. Breakfast was excellent. The area around the hotel feels plenty safe. My only complaint would be the weak AC or lack thereof. Going back and reading other people's reviews, it seems the hotel turns off the AC when the temp outside is below certain threshold. I understand the desire to go green, but it comes at the expense of guests' comfort. Giving 4 stars. If AC was working properly, I'd give them 5 stars.

Nice to come back to a room that was nice and clean. AC was available but not working very well. The free minibar was a welcome surprise. Location is not great as the surrounding area is filled with strip clubs and a Youth Hostel. Night time can be noisy outside. Rooms are nicely furnished and well kept.

This property is convenient to the main train station. However, the air conditioning never worked properly in our room. We were told it could not be corrected. They only offered fans. It was extremely difficult to sleep. They said changing rooms would not help. The room also smelled bad. I would advise against staying at the hotel.

Great spot! Really no complaints although I would’ve enjoyed the ability to change the temperature in the room. We really appreciated them refilling the bar fridge with bottled water, beer and juices. Coffee was great too! And the location was really convenient. Would stay again for sure.

Unfortunately can’t stay here again and probably put off going to a Mercure hotel in future as the air conditioning was rubbish. You can hear the fan but couldn’t feel any cold air. Room was stuffy which isn’t good for a migraine sufferer. At 6am they were pushing extremely loud trolleys. Upside was the staff were very nice and polite and bed was comfy.

We had a fantastic experience at Mercure München City Centre. The location is perfect—close to major landmarks and just a short walk to U-Bahn stations, making it easy to get around the city. The staff were not only efficient but also very warm and welcoming. We had booked a standard room but were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a loft-style room due to availability. They even accommodated our early check-in request, which we really appreciated after a long journey. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Munich.

There is ALOT of construction going on around the city center. Getting to the hotel can be a challenge but it was worth it. As we are being checked in early I might add Nikolas at the front desk asked where I have to go to drop off the rental car. Seeing it was not close he spent 20 minutes on the phone arranging so I could drop it off 3 blocks away instead of 3 kms. great service! The room although slightly weathered still very clean and good size with a great bed. A free mini-bar with beer and soft drinks and free Nespresso coffee service. Great housekeeping that made sure it was stocked every day. Amazing breakfast in the restaurant with a nice little bar. I have never felt brand loyalty in hotels but Mercure may have started it.

The hotel is in a great location, very central. Facilities were good. The staff were not at all friendly. We asked for two things during our stay - our tv remote wasn’t working and we wanted to borrow an iron. Even though a request was placed, neither request was answered. Disappointing.

The room is spacious and good, though the reception is not flexible. One of us was not sure about the breakfast, and ask if we can buy it for one person first and figure it out later. The answer is no and we have to pay Euro26.- for 1 instead of Euro21.-for 1. This is not the way to treat your customer.

Pros: Well priced, clean hotel. Overall a comfortable stay. Very good breakfast if included in the price. The staff at the hotel bar/ restaurant is polite and efficient Good size, well isolated rooms with mini bar included Cons: Centrally located but 10-15 min walk to main attractions Surrounding streets are not nice- Walk to the old town was not pleasant. Staff appears helpful and nice but their actions do not follow: no wake up call or taxi as requested. We had to run at the airport. No evident effort to make our room earlier at arrival. We waited 4 hrs until official check in time to be able to catch up on sleep after an overnight flight. Will loved Munich and enjoyed our stay at the Mercure but next time, we will try a different hotel- closer to the main attractions

The hotel is strategically located. Walking distance to the meeting place of group tours and Munich HBF train station. Lots of good restaurants nearby as well. It is also near Karlplatz, the shopping area. We checked out early to catch our train going to Zurich, I asked the front desk reception for some takeout breakfast as we won’t be able to eat our breakfast in the hotel and they followed up 2 nights before confirming any food allergies. They packed sandwiches, fruits, chocolate bar and bottled juice. Truly exceptional customer service.

Good standard hotel. The free drinks in the room fridge were very much welcolme. Good size room. Hotel ideally suited close to the main railway station though as with all such areas its not the nicest area itself. However, we found the hotel clean, safe and service good so would stay again.

Went for Octoberfest Room was neat and clean, the hotel staff is very friendly , but location , around the train station, is sketchy at best. I stayed 2 nights. Every night there were very loud parties around the hotel which didn't end until 3 am. From 10 pm to 3 am there were sirens from emergency vehicles could be heard at least once an hour. The sirens would sound the party noise would reduce, but 5 minutes later the noise would return

A 3 night stay in Munich was perfect - The hotel itself was excellent! Great locality to heart of the city. Everything within walking distance and access to S & U routes practically on the doorstep. Staff at hotel very welcoming & friendly. We stayed in a standard double room which was perfect - great size, clean, the bed was so comfy and there was a FREE mini bar stocked daily. Breakfast buffet style was just the ticket- lovely food & great selection that would suit everyone. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Ordered lunch the first day. Quality of the chicken burger was not good. Wait staff was very slow in taking my order and providing a check at the end of the meal. At breakfast, wait staff tried clearing dishes before I had finished my meal. The room was spacious but the shower was ridiculous. A very small wall did nothing to keep water from running all over the floor.

Advance check-in online was available and was very convenient. This property was perfect for a city break. The only draw back was that the standard rooms only have a double bed whereas I was looking for twin beds. This would have incurred an upgrade of 30Euros per night. That said, the double bed was huge and super comfortable so there was plenty room to avoid your room mate :-) Breakfast was 26Euros per sitting but it was fantastic and worth the money.

This Hotel Provided (in the Lobby) free Coffee, pretzels, Umbrellas Portable charging options. The Restaurant breakfast options were excellent, hot and cold breakfasts, pastries and breads were also available. Bar staff were all friendly and courteous. The rooms were excellent plenty of space, storage and power outlets (just no USB outlets)
