Wonderful parador. Lovely building, very clean, quiet and spacious in a fantastic location. Pool area very special with amazing views. Rooms, which all have balconies, are spacious with great views over the centre of town, castle walls and harbour area. Pleasant staff - reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast a little limited in choice, but more than adequate. Didn’t use restaurant due to lack of vegetarian choice. Bar food was adequate but not overly excitingly- just used on final night to avoid trip into town centre. Located on a steep hill close to centre of Malaga. Steep walk down which can be tricky if wet or dark, however local bus is once an hour and very reliable. Taxi back up is exceptional value (about 8 euros). Would stay here again as it is a fantastic place to stay.

Views on the third level are better than the fourth level. Swimming pool has great views. Walking path is close by to restaurants and shopping. Bus also available. Good breakfast. Would come again.

This hotel is situated in a very quiet, area next to the Castillo de Gibralfaro high above the port of Malaga. The views from the property are amazing. There is plenty of free parking if you have a car. The walk down to the city is steep & takes about 1/2 hour to walk but it is doable for those in decent physical shape. The rooms are comfortable and have a nice little sitting area to rest your feet after climbing back up the hill after a day of exploring. Would recommend this hotel if you wanted to stay somewhere a little quieter, away from the hustle of the city centre.

This place was beautiful and the views were amazing! Two beds in the room which was perfect for travelling with my sister. Nice grounds and view points close by outside and from balcony! Restaurant and bar on site which was nice. Breakfast included is a great option when booking. There was free parking which was a bit busy sometimes with all the visitors coming for the view points. Very close to the Castle. Can walk to downtown area in about 20 minutes but was a bit steep of a path.

The Parador has a spectacular view from where it sits on top of the hill overlooking the city. The views from the dining room & front veranda area are gorgeous & the view of the city from our balcony was lovely too. We could walk down the hill from the parador walking past the castle and Alcazaba directly into the center of the old town. I would definitely stay there again. The staff was very helpful and friendly & one of the front desk even arranged snacks for us early in the morning to take on our hike to the Caminito del Rey because we would be missing breakfast. And we really enjoyed the rooftop pool which had an amazing view as well!

Easy and fast check-in process, very clean and neat room with a fantastic view of the city/area. We dined at the bar which had decent food and drinks. Plenty of parking space in the hotel property and it’s free of charge! The bus option is also a plus.

A charming hotel overlooking Malaga. Large comfortable room with balcony overlooking the city on the top of Mont Gibralfaro. Good size pool but no pool bar. Hotel has a well regarded restaurant plus a pleasant cafe/bar and terrace. City is reachable on foot but we used the local bus and taxis. I would recommend for a quiet location but not for a lively city break. Large car park if touring.

Hotellet er smukt og har en fantastisk udsigt. Værelserne er smukt indrettet. Dejlig morgenmad. Skøn pool, dog mangler der virkelig en poolbar eller i det mindste en automat med drikkevarer. Eneste mulighed var at gå ned i baren 4 etager nede for at få drikkevarer eller snacks. Der er intet supermarked ved hotellet nær hotellet. Hotellet er meget isoleret, og det er meget stejl at gå ned til byen. Vi havde booket et værelse med to enkeltsenge. Da vi ankom sent om aftenen, blev vi informeret om der var sket en fejl, at de ikke havde et værelse med to enkelsenge, men vi kunne skifte værelse næste morgen, så vi fik det vi havde booket. Næste morgen pakkede vi tingene, og regnede med de ville prioritere at gøre et værelse klar hurtigst muligt, når gæsterne var checket ud kl 12. Det gjorde de dog ikke, vi fik at vide det først var klar kl 14, hvor der normalt er check in. Vi var derfor uden værelse fra 10 - 14, selvom vi jo betalte for vores værelse. Jeg havde glemt mit nattøj på det første værelse. Da jeg opdagede det samme dag og kontaktede receptionen, fik jeg at vide rengøringen havde smidt det ud - selvom jeg jo var flyttet til et andet værelse, og nemt kunne have fået det? På intet tidspunkt fik vi tilbudt kompensation for forkert værelse/at være uden værelse i 4 timer. ikke så meget som en gratis drink i baren. Vi fik ikke engang en undskyldning for deres fejl, vi var meget skuffede over den behandling - især for et fire stjernet hotel.

Localisation exceptionnelle. Vue merveilleuse. Chambre très bien. Personnel des plus courtois. Stationnement gratuit. Les prix en Espagne sont un peu élevés mais, cette offre était très bien comparée à celle de plus petits hôtels beaucoup moins intéressants.

Honestly not great. Hallways quite dingy. View was terrible from the room even with making a request months prior to check in for a higher floor. Extremely noisy, can hear everything above us. Pool does not look like the pictures AT ALL. Not worth it.

Our stay at Paradores Málaga was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautifully nestled above the city, offering breathtaking views of the marina and the Mediterranean. From the moment we arrived, everything ran smoothly —check-in was efficient and welcoming, thanks to the outstanding staff at reception who made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with high-quality bedding that made for a restful night. The restaurant and breakfast staff were equally warm and attentive, making each meal a pleasure with their kindness and excellent service. The location is ideal for those who enjoy a bit of a walk — the city center is walkable, though the hike back uphill can be a bit of a workout. But with views this good, it’s well worth it. If you're looking for serenity, scenery, and superb service, this Paradores hotel is the perfect choice.

Economical, immaculate, comfortable, state of the art bathroom, electrics and furnishings. Above and beyond all our expectations. Good breakfast option able to add to room rate. cannot comment on lunch or dinner time dining experience as did not dine for those. If traveling with multiple luggage, only accessible to end of driveway with vehicle larger than mini van. 👏👍

Le Parador Malaga Gibralfaro est idéalement situé sur une colline permettant d’avoir un superbe décor et une vue magnifique sur Malaga. Par un chemin il ne faut que 20 minutes pour accéder au centre-ville, mais pour remonter mieux vaut avoir une bonne condition sportive. Une remontée en taxi coûte environ 8€. L’hôtel est très propre, les chambres spacieuses et confortables. Les salles de bains sont toutefois un peu vieillottes et nécessiteraient une rénovation. Le personnel est très agréable et accueillant. La quiétude des lieux est un atout indéniable après avoir passé toute une journée au centre ville animé. Autre point positif, il est possible de garer facilement votre voiture. Nous ne regrettons pas notre choix et conseillons cet établissement.

Loved my stay at the Parador Malaga. Our room and the facilities were both clean and attractive. Staff warm and welcoming. We would definitely return if we return to Malaga. We highly recommend!

The hotel property is extremely beautiful, without a doubt. And all the rooms face the harbour. You are very high up a winding road, right next to the ruins of a Moorish castle from the 1300's. For this reason alone, it is worth it. Our room was large, spotless, comfy, but not particularly modern or posh. The walls are very thin, so we experienced much noise from families with small children. The service in the cafe, bar area was really slow. I do not think they have enough staff. But the staff on all counts were very professional, personable and as helpful as could be.

Fabulous hotel overlooking Malaga we stayed for just two nights but everything was great. Lovely big room with a balcony overlooking the bull ring and out to sea. Breakfast was good, with both cooked to order items and a buffet with traditional Spanish pastries, meats and cheeses. We walked down into the town each day but caught a taxi back each day (10euro)to avoid the steep hill in the heat.

Beautiful hotel in a great location wuth stunning views. All rooms overlook the city

This is not a cheap stay, you pay for the location and view and rooms are spacious. However they are quite simple with bare floors and very thin walls so you can hear alot of banging and scraping. The clientele when we were there were older couples so the noise did reduce at night. Also they did accommodate a room change request for this reason, although the second room suffered the same problem. It is just the construction of the building. The breakfast and dinner are good and the service was excellent. However, overall, the value was not great. The location is not great if you want other dining or shopping options.

The best place for wonderful views of the city center and the water. The castle is right behind the hotel so you can walk the path to the city center. Breakfast was wonderful, rooms were clean and everything you needed for a stay. Only draw backmis the beds were not that comfortable, but for two nights it worked.

We had superior room - very spacious . Water left as welcome only on the first day! would expect it everyday with this class of Hotel. We had a nice balcony overlooking the port. Downside room was next to walkway up to castle from Malaga and youngsters still playing music at 2:30am. nothing too much trouble for staff, all very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful views, rooms, and property.

This is a hotel trading on the views from the property, but it’s tired and in desperate need of an upgrade. This is a 3 star hotel at 5 star prices and when you are paying this price you expect services to work but they don’t. The AC doesn’t work and we needed an electric fan to get some level of cooling in our room. The restaurant staff are surly and avoid any eye contact when you try to get something. This hotel is not worth the money they charge.

The views were outstanding. We had a little trouble with one staff member not understanding orders. It is always a good idea, especially with foreign language guests, to repeat the order to confirm it is correct. She brought a beer when black tea was ordered. She also brought beer with alcohol when beer sin alcohol was ordered. Otherwise, staff were helpful, kind, and friendly.

Llegué un domingo a la tarde y me senté a tomar algo fresco en la terraza... mas de media hora y no logré que me atendiera. Un pena que semejante lugar tenga solo 2 camareros atendiendo; muy atentos ellos, pero no le alcanzan las manos!! Una lástima

This is our third (but not final) visit. We love the views from this parador. Sitting on the small balcony overlooking the town and the port is magic, especially at night. The rooms are large and well appointed, ditto bathrooms. Reception staff are particularly welcoming and helpful. We enjoy the pool too. It's really convenient for the castle and alcazaba and a pleasant walk down the pedestrian path to town (take a taxi back up!). We had an enjoyable meal in the restaurant too. Service at the cafe can be brusque to the point of rudeness, but it's a nice place to sit with a cold drink.

Lovely hotel and room with wonderful views, it’s a 20 minute walk into town but it is up/down a very steep hill which I would not even attempt in the wet! We found the staff in the bar to be pretty unhelpful and unfriendly which was disappointing. Pool area was good but mostly just us round it, so no issue with beds which could easily be an issue at some points, but would stay again

Beautiful location on the top of Malaga Centre. The hotel reception staff were courteous and professional. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The service in the restaurant for breakfast was very slow and it wasn’t made clear that hot food was available to order which was a shame as the buffet was quite limited. The service outside terrrace area was also slow, however the staff were very friendly and courteous. Great walk into the old town but it’s very, very steep so may be not ideal for anyone with difficulties walking.

This hotel is at the top of Malaga, directly under the castle. It's out of the way of all the city noise. There is a very steep walking path to downtown. We walked to the beach and restaurants. Getting to the main shopping area is a little out of the way. The walk back uphill was not reasonable so we took a taxi. They seem short on staff in the restaurant and breakfast area. The waitstaff that was on hand couldn't keep up. They were very friendly however.

From check in to check out the service was 10/10. Everything as pictured, accurate description on the website. Food delicious & reasonably priced for a 4* hotel. Would definitely stay here again

Stunning position that is quiet and peaceful but still very accessible to the city and beach.

The views from the rooms are the best. The downside of the beautiful views are getting to town requires a Taxi or Uber unless you are extremely physically fit. The climb down or up the hill would take approx. 20 min. but it is very steep and you would need to be in top shape to do it. It was Uber for me, LOL! I would stay again for the views alone though.

Great view from the balcony and bar / restaurant- only downside being that it is a little isolated with few bar and restaurant options in easy walking distance. Plus side- their restaurant was very good and the pool a bonus on a hot day.

Great views of the city & port! Right next to the Castillo so you can pickup the On Off or city bus. We didn’t care for the restaurant at the hotel but an 8 Euro taxi ride to Centro gives you access to lots of restaurants and is a great way to spend the evening.

Quiet away to itself on top of hill but close to city centre along a steep path past the castle to the alcazar. Take 35 bus back up unless you enjoy the climb. Unique location. Immaculate hotel with efficient staff.

Great beautiful location with amazing views. Staff was attentive and the food at the bistro or st the restaurant was great . The breakfast is worth it and the pool and lounge area is a nice plus .

Gorgeous views. Food was very good and the staff was very attentive. Room could’ve been appointed better though it was large and comfortable. Well priced.
