I went in January because i wanted to use the indoor swimming pool. The breakfast was really good and not just buffet, you can order. The breakfast was part of the deal so it was free. The MTR subway station is directly at the back (Central exit F) so that made getting around even more convenient. The staff made themselves known to me and really addressed any issue no matter how minor. This was my first time staying at the Mandarin Oriental (I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt) but I would strongly consider staying here again. My only issue is that the bath water was temperature controlled and I couldnt get it to the level of hot that I like. It is also 10 minutes away (30 to 50HKD) taxi ride to the Central ferry port.

We had a great time at this hotel. The room was really spacious and comfortable. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is totally amazing and the bar at the top of the hotel is fabulous. We liked it so much we have booked to go back.

The Mandarin Club 라운지 억세스 룸에 묵었는데 친절한 Club Supervisor, Sameer Ahmad 가 라운지에 머무는 내내 친절하게 대해주어서 감사했습니다. 클럽 라운지 샴페인이 무려 Ruinart 라, 샴페인 좋아하시는 분들이라면 너무 좋아하실 거예요. 위치가 좋아 센트럴 주변 어디든 가기 편하고, 쇼핑하기에도 최적입니다. 방은 모던하다기보다는 클래식하고, 크기는 적당합니다. 또 호텔에 있는 바(bar)가 아주 멋지니 꼭 가보시길 추천합니다. 홍콩에 처음 오시는 분이고, 옛 홍콩 분위기가 나는 클래식한 호텔을 경험하고 싶다면 추천합니다.

The Mandarin Oriental is in a league of its own. I had a great experience during my stay and felt well taken care of. The staff goes above and beyond and having access to the spa was a huge perk as I worked through my jet lag by swimming laps in the morning. Highly recommend!

We had the best experience at this hotel. The customer service was out of this world. We arrived in Hong Kong at 6am from an overnight flight, we knew the room was not ready but they allowed us to use the facilities to shower and freshen up. There was a slight delay with our room being ready, they more than made up for the inconvenience. Take advantage of The Mandarin Club they offer. Breakfast and Afternoon Tea is amazing. Very friendly and attentive staff.

The team of doormen were exceptional. Very proactive, warm smiles and great attentiveness. There was A and a few others whose names I didn’t catch helped set the tone from the start. A special mention to J, Lobby Ambassador. When I was taking work calls in the lobby lounge, he came and offered a bottle of water. He extends this courtesy and charm to every guest. The ability to go beyond scripted professionalism made interactions a lot more genuine. Everything in the room was tidied and clean, amenities were replenished. Room was on the older side for sure. We got the harbour view on a high floor which was a pretty decent view. Food quality and variety for buffet breakfast was as expected. A negative incident occurred while we were having breakfast on Sunday. A manager could be heard in view of all other guests, calling a staff with a disparaging remark. Calling the staff ‘zero brain’ to his supervisor. Also, instead of calling the staff by name, he went ‘Oei! Hey!’. That is rude. This is not a situation of ‘respecting the hierarchy’ or ‘language barrier’. Wherever one works, you learn the locality and assimilate. These actions undermine basic human dignity and consistency of the Mandarin Oriental service ethos. The external customer is important, so is the internal customer. Leadership, especially in a hospitality establishment is more than just putting on a tailored suit and fancy shoes. Leadership is not a title, it is a burden.

Lovely hotel with gorgeous floral arrangements in the Lobby. Good location in Central with easy access to Landmark via footbridge through Prince Building. The service was excellent. Special mention to Karl Maglana who helped me check in / check out. Karl always greeted me by my name whenever he would see me. A tall gentleman named Nicholas (sorry I forgot his last name) was also extra helpful by moving me to the room with the design / layout I preferred. Overall a wonderful stay.

Service was top-notch with a few staff recognizing and greeting me by my last name. Concierge service was fantastic and extremely helpful. Hotel location is extremely convenient with the MTR entrance just a few hundred feet away. Room was a little outdated and harbor view was not as breath-taking as others. Could not try any restaurants due to COVID restrictions. Very happy all in all.

The service was first rate at all points of contact. Hotel is beautiful with several restaurants. The cafe is very welcoming and had delicious variety of foods. The afternoon tea was very good. Great location and close to MTR station. Highly recommend.

Likes: Lounge (world-class staff) concierge (world-class staff) Front Desk and Doorman (First-Class staff) Clipper Lounge (Fab buffet, attentive servers, and wonderful host (Hongkonger -unfortunately I forgot his name) Mandarin Grill + Bar (Sam is highly knowledgeable and friendly. Food: grilled Wagu was a total miss, seabass hit the spot, and Oyster bar was outstanding) Man Wah (excellent wait staff. food was fine but not as spectacular as we anticipated. our table appreciated their advanced culinary techniques..it just didn't translate to the superior taste for us! The Mandarin Cake Shop (Somebody needs to coach that young tall Hongkonger girl in front to stop being lazy and rude to customers specially hotel guests. She told me the place is booked full since we did not have reservation. I had to point out an empty table for our party of 3 and she gave me an attitude with "I guess it will be ready shortly". we left and I just purchased chocolates and went back up to our room!). Despite her uselessness, as always, we really enjoyed Mandarin Oriental chocolates! I hope these feedbacks are useful since my family loves to stay at Mandarin Oriental!
