This is a nice enough place near JB Sentral, but not really within walking distance. The surrounding area isn't very nice, and it is difficult to find parking. The hotel itself is fine, and the staff were friendly, but I don't think the price is worth it for the location.

A pretty standard railway hotel for the money. Rooms are basic but clean, all you need for a good nights sleep before catching an early train. Close by to shopping centres and the train station is about a five minute walk. Some eateries near by but I got there quite late so didn’t have time to explore. Breakfast was reasonable however the coffee could have been better as could the hot water supply to the shower. My nights sleep was broken by the rowdy locals potentially an argument between the rough sleepers opposite also a weird series of banging noises sounded like boulders being dumped from a truck near by happen once close by then a few more times in the distance. Apart from that all good.

The location is near JB central station and near large shop mall, which are make us very easy access to everything. However, due to near such center of city area, there are some security concern around this hotel. The hotel facility seems old, and it feels not so comfortable even though the room is cleaned up.

They tried to charge again for the tax, even though we had paid. The bathroom had other peoples hair in it and were not cleaned. The area outside the hotel didn't feel safe for women or children. The breakfast was good and the doorman was very helpful with directions

I got a windowless room, despite picking a room depicted online as having a window. The trash can had not been emptied. The air conditioner tried, but never got the room actually cool. The walls were thin and so I could hear all the noise happening in the hallway

The hotel room is spacious and clean. Surely there is enough space for two guests at a time. The exterior walls along the common corridors looked a little old even though they were re painted. The staff were friendly and helpful though and the hotel is located nearby City Square.

NOTE - Hotel expects a RM10 for 2 pax per night on top of what you paid in Expedia. Hotel staff said this is for the city tax. This wasn't made known to me by Expedia at all. Would be better if this was informed earlier and sorted out. Location - it's indeed very convenient location being just across the road from city square mall and walking distance to the Pasar Karat (Bazar JB). Condition of hotel - alot of wear and tear and some things/covers are missing. Housekeeping crew has done a relatively good job to keep the room and toilet relatively clean. If it bugs you to see rust or missing covers, pls dun book here then. Also, the pillows are way too soft.
