Beautiful hotel on a charming historic town square with updated rooms, and we enjoyed our very large and comfortable family room and large bathroom. Easily walkable throughout Thun to restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Nice lounges with coffee, tea and fruit on each floor, and the communal mini fridge was the only negative as would have been a nice in-room amenity.

We loved our stay at hotel Krone, fab central location right next to the river. Close to the castle also. The staff were very welcoming and helpful :) there was shared tea, coffee and fridge facilities outside of the rooms. Would definitely stay again when visiting Thun!

The hotel staff on arrival were really nice and our room was ready before check in so that was good. Free tea and coffee on the floor (not in the room) and a shared fridge which was very useful. The hotel is within 10 mins walk of the train station and all sights are walkable within 10 mins. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was the room. It was tiny, we couldn't keep our bags out and it was really noisy in the evening from the bar downstairs and then was woken early in the morning due to the market stalls setting up at 6am!! Thicker windows would be great!

Very nice hotel in the heart of the old town, steps away from the rivers and a few mins from the famous castle. A lots of restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel and shooping streets are steps away. The hotel room is spacious and clean. The hotel provides free coffee and drinks all day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Had a very comfortable stay. This property is walking distance from railway station, just about 10 mins walk. The room was mid sized with a separation of living and bedroom area. The bathroom was clean and very spacious. Overall the Hotel is nicely maintained and very clean. Enjoyed the stay.

Incredible staff who are all friendly and welcoming. We had a fabulous room overlooking the square. Breakfast was a huge selection of excellent quality. Our room was spotless and cleaned to the highest standard. I could not recommend enough.

Loved the idyllic location of this property with a view of Thun castle, right next to Rathausplatz and across the street from a lovely place for food and drinks. Clean and comfortable room, staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Krone in Thun. Our room was incredible. Very spacious with windows that opened up to beautiful views of the river. The bathroom had a wonderful soaking tub, which was such a treat after a long day of exploring. The location was perfect for walking around town, with plenty of shops and restaurants just steps away. We would happily stay here again!

Hotel was perfectly located! Highly recommend if you are just visiting for one day as you can easily walk wherever you want in Old Town. If you are driving you can drive to the hotel, but likely you will end up parking in the garage a 8 min walk away. So I would plan on packing a light bag. Staff was great and our room had an unreal view of the mountains and river. Will recommend to all my friends.

We lived the Hotel Krone. The location is amazing and everything about the hotel is wonderful. Next time I would book the larger rooms rather than the smart room. That seemed more suitable for a young couple that wanted a great accommodation but did not require a large room or a big bathroom. My party of seniors was a bit cramped but that was on me. Breakfast and options for dining were excellent

We called the hotel to let the m know we would be checking in near midnight. Communication was excellent and although reception was closed by 11 pm, we had a smooth check-in with the night porter. We were also directed to a nearby restaurant/bar which was open until 2 pm. Coffee in the morning was fabulous. Rooms are very comfortable and ours was spacious. It was a quick one night stay in Thun, and we would stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location to walk along the river and up to the castle. There are lots of restaurants and shops in the area and an amazing cocktail bar across the street called Atelier. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

The hotel and amenities are some of the best in Switzerland. Their hotel front desk are always very helpful and pleasant. Becareful you don't run into their maintence manager that wear socks and sandals. He is very rude and very grouchy to guests.

The area surrounding the hotel is perfect. We had an upgrade in our room with views to the river and the square. This was maybe a bit more noisy but charming. The state of the building and rooms is perfect. Personnel were kind and attentive. General services of the hotel, including coffee and tea, fruit, etc were great and convenient. Maybe only breakfast could be a bit better according to the high standard of the hotel. Thanks.

Awesome location!! Thun is so lovely. Hotel was comfortable and accommodating, clean and accessible. Breakfast started a bit late for those who might enjoy getting out to the mountains early, and there were almost no options for those who eat vegetarian and/or gluten/free…. But breakfast is optional, so, if you need to, just skip and eat at a nearby cafe.

Hotel is excellent. Only setback was the breakfast buffet that didn't include a better variety of eggs to order. Only hardboiled eggs were available. We were told the day before that we can order omelets or fried eggs.
