Quite a regular Ibis. Expensive for what it is... It was clean and bar was open 24h which was nice since I had to work very late. Didn't eat the breakfast so can't say anything about it. Rooms didn't have any "don't disturb" signs, which lead to the cleaning lady waking me up. Was a bit annoying. Also I found the receptionist on my way out quite rude. I checked out shortly before 12 o'clock, went to have a coffee next door (where you can also find a grocery store which is handy) and was on my way out from the parking around 12.30. The machine wouldn't let me out with the parking ticket, so I went back to the reception and the receptionist starts lecturing me how in "every" hotel the 1 day paid parking is only until 12.00... As I stay about 100 nights a year in hotels because of work, I know for a fact what she was saying is not true. It can be sometimes only until 12 but not always! Actually usually it is 24h from the time of entry, or they ask/tell until when you want/can park and this time nobody asked or said anything when I paid for the parking while checking in. As I tried to point this out to her, she would just keep talking louder on top of me and would not hear me out. I mean, who acts like that in as a receptionist?! Wouldn't stay here again. Pay 40-50 francs more and stay somewhere in Zug.

Very warm and friendly welcome. The hotel has a lovely lobby bar and overall a very nice place to stay for crashing overnight for example. Excellent location by the train station and parking also available for cars.

Direkt neben Zug, hier befindet sich der Ort Baar und auch das Ibis Hotel in zentraler Lage direkt gegenüber des Bahnhofes. Das Hotel befindet sich zudem am Einkaufscenzer "Gotthard" angeschlossen. Hier befindet sich ein COOP, wer sich mit dem täglichen Bedarf eindecken muss. Preislich ist das Hotel für Schweizer Verhältnisse in Ordnung. Wir hatten ein Zimmer für drei Personen (2 Erw. 1 Kind) beim Eintreffen hat die komplette Garnitur für die dritte Person gefehlt. Weder Bettwäsche noch Handtücher. Die Handtücher haben beim täglichen Wechsel auch oft für die dritte Person gefehlt. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein. Gerade im WC Bereich sehr beengt. Dusche recht geräumig. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und ordentlich. Der Bistro Bereich war in Ordnung das Frühstück sehr angenehm und vielseitig. Allerdings kam in der letzten Nacht ein ganzer Bus zusätzliche Gäste, so dass die angebotenen Speisen nicht ausreichend vorhanden waren. Auch beim nachfragen einer älteren Dame, die wohl für die Küche zuständig war, gab es nur patzige Antworten. Das passt so garnicht in die Schweizer Schickimicki- Welt. Ansonsten ist das Hotel, trotz Bahnhofnähe sehr ruhig und zu empfehlen. Parken kostet in der Tiefgarage des EKZ 15CHF pro Tag.

Das Hotel ist sein Preis leider gar nicht wert. Die Zimmer sind verlebt und das Badezimmer richtig scheusslich. An der Metalldecke an der Decke in der Dusche hat es riesige Rostflecken, die Duschbrause fällt ständig runter, Silikonfugen sind defekt, einfach nur grausig..... Und dies für Fr. 240.- pro Nacht!!! Aber der Empfang an der Reception war freundlich.

The property is ok but could benefit from an upgrade. The staff were great although there were issues with the cooling system in our room. The one and only off putting thing is the amount of flies in the lobby especially around the food at breakfast. I struggled to eat much because of this

Schreckliches Zimmer. Es hat sehr,sehr fest nach Zigarettenrauch gestunken, im WC lagen noch Haare vom Vorgänger. Sehr,sehr kleines Zimmer - eigentlich ein Einzelzimmer Ein solches Zimmer darf nicht freigegeben werden.

My mom and I were in town for a family event and spent 2 nights at ibis Baar Zug. We had a a great stay. The hotel is located conveniently right outside the train station. Check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was spotless and quiet with a comfortable mattress and no single-use plastics. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We will definitely stay there again next time we will be in the area.

Due to the price and the good condition of the hotel, I expected there to be more facilities in the room but that was not the case. I would have liked to have a mini bar or something similar to keep drinks cold. The hairdryer in the bathroom blew almost no air and the air was lukewarm so it did not fulfill its function.

Wonderful and helpful staff and a peaceful location lifted this stay. Also the wonderful breakfast buffet which you should not miss. Regarding the room, the bed was not comfortable and the shower head didn't stay up. So we needed to hold it in one hand while washing with the other. Not so nice for a quite pricy hotel. But again, staff and breakfast helped forget the shower and bed :-)

From all Europe this was by far one of the most beautiful experiences we had at a hotel. The front desk lady was so accommodating with us that we were traveling with a 1 year old she thank God speak Spanish and gave us tips to get around the city and made our stay so Wonderful 😊

I checked out shortly before 12 o'clock, went to have a coffee next door (where you can also find a grocery store which is handy) and was on my way out from the parking around 12.30. The machine wouldn't let me out with the parking ticket, so I went back to the reception and the receptionist starts lecturing me how in "every" hotel the 1 day paid parking is only until 12.00... As I stay about 100 nights a year in hotels because of work, I know for a fact what she was saying is not true. It can be sometimes only until 12 but not always! The room was very small but clean and quiet. It was close to the train and bus station. Due to the price and the good condition of the hotel, I expected there to be more facilities in the room but that was not the case. I would have liked to have a mini bar or something similar to keep drinks cold. The hairdryer in the bathroom blew almost no air and the air was lukewarm so it did not fulfill its function.

Direkt neben Zug, hier befindet sich der Ort Baar und auch das Ibis Hotel in zentraler Lage direkt gegenüber des Bahnhofes. Das Hotel befindet sich zudem am Einkaufscenzer "Gotthard" angeschlossen. Hier befindet sich ein COOP, wer sich mit dem täglichen Bedarf eindecken muss. Preislich ist das Hotel für Schweizer Verhältnisse in Ordnung. Wir hatten ein Zimmer für drei Personen (2 Erw. 1 Kind) beim Eintreffen hat die komplette Garnitur für die dritte Person gefehlt. Weder Bettwäsche noch Handtücher. Die Handtücher haben beim täglichen Wechsel auch oft für die dritte Person gefehlt. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein. Gerade im WC Bereich sehr beengt. Dusche recht geräumig. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und ordentlich. Der Bistro Bereich war in Ordnung das Frühstück sehr angenehm und vielseitig. Allerdings kam in der letzten Nacht ein ganzer Bus zusätzliche Gäste, so dass die angebotenen Speisen nicht ausreichend vorhanden waren. Auch beim nachfragen einer älteren Dame, die wohl für die Küche zuständig war, gab es nur patzige Antworten. Das passt so garnicht in die Schweizer Schickimicki- Welt. My mom and I were in town for a family event and spent 2 nights at ibis Baar Zug. We had a a great stay. The hotel is located conveniently right outside the train station. Check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was spotless and quiet with a comfortable mattress and no single-use plastics. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We will definitely stay there again next time we will be in the area.

Wonderful and helpful staff and a peaceful location lifted this stay. Also the wonderful breakfast buffet which you should not miss. Regarding the room, the bed was not comfortable and the shower head didn't stay up. So we needed to hold it in one hand while washing with the other. Not so nice for a quite pricy hotel. But again, staff and breakfast helped forget the shower and bed :-)

The property is ok but could benefit from an upgrade. The staff were great although there were issues with the cooling system in our room. The one and only off putting thing is the amount of flies in the lobby especially around the food at breakfast. I struggled to eat much because of this
