This is an excellent hotel, tucked on a side street across from the railway station. Room was big for Europe, shower was hot with good pressure, room had safe and fridge. Bed was very comfortable. We did not do breakfast option, but coffee and tea are available in the lobby. Quaint little bar serving beer, wine, and schnapps was perfect for a nightcap, and front desk manager Markus was the perfect host.

Wonderful hotel that’s walking distance to the center of Munich. Great amenities, clean room, and lots of restaurants nearby. The staff are really nice and provided exceptional customer service. They help identify an issue with a planned tour offered by Expedia (meeting location 2 hours away drive). Why it was offered for Munich is another issue. Regardless, they were very helpful. The hotel also has a free coffee for guest, which is an absolute treat. Highly recommended hotel for anyone visiting Munich, Germany. Thank you.

Deluxe Double Room - 10/10. Clean. Good size. Quiet. Bathroom - 10/10. Clean. Lovely shower. Bed - 10/10. 2 singles pushed together. Quite comfy. WiFi - 10/10. Very good. Staff - 10/10. From check-in to check-out, all the staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast - 11/10! Amazing buffet. Huge variety and all of high quality. The cakes and pastries were superb and did vary from day to day. Hotel - 10/10. In a good location for touring the city (although directly opposite a half built hotel/car park). 5 mins from the main station (leave via the overground station exit at street level). This hotel is a gem, loved staying here. The only downside was the parking, there were ramps within the car space it was really scary to try and park, not sure why they need to be there, a safety issue me thinks

Located conveniently close to Munich HBF. Some interesting features, including self-serve coffee, tea and water stations, vending machines for snacks and self-serve room supply trollies in lieu of daily room servicing. We enjoyed the additional privacy of maintaining our own room during our 3 night stay and making a bed and gathering our own clean towels was no hardship! Our room offered enough space for a couple, a comfortable bed, individually controlled AC, a mini fridge and the option of both a rainfall shower head and a hand held shower head. There were some steps to negotiate within the property but they were easily navigated.

Modernes und gepflegtes Hotel in Bahnhofsnähe, dass trotzdem extrem ruhig ist. Tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Balkonzimmer im 6. Stock, welches zum Innenhof ausgerichtet war. Die Zimmer sind zwar etwas klein, aber dennoch völlig ausreichend. Schöne und neue Möblierung. Badezimmer hervorragend geputzt und sauber. Bett bequem. Tolles Personal, haben uns sehr gute Restaurants empfohlen und waren stets ansprechbar und freundlich. Wasser, Kaffe und Tee jederzeit in der Lobby gratis verfügbar. Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wir haben anlässlich eines Musicalbesuches eine Nacht im Hotel Metropol in einem Komfortzimmer mit Terrasse im 5. Stock übernachtet. Das Hotel ist absolut zu empfehlen. Sehr netter Empfang und Service, ein total liebevoll eingerichtetes einerseits nostalgisches und doch modernes Zimmer und ein hervorragendes Frühstück in einem sehr gemütlichen Frühstücksraum. Außerdem eine kostenlose Kaffeestation in der Lobby. Das ganze Hotel ist familiär und man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Es liegt auch günstig in Laufweite zur Altstadt und zum Deutschen Theater. Parkplätze in der Tiefgarage können für 19 Euro gebucht werden. Wenn wir mal wieder in München sind, werden wir sicher wieder hier nächtigen.

Hotel perto da estação, fácil de chegar ao centro à pé, café da manhã muito gostoso e com variedade. Único ponto negativo é que não tem serviço de limpeza durante a estadia (voce que pega toalha e papel higiênico) qualquer outro servico so se solicitado com limpeza do quarto e que se retire o lixo, pedi duas vezes para apenas esvaziar as lixeiras e não fui atendida. Fora isso não tive problemas

Breakfast is 22 euro per person ($27 usd) for a sizable buffet. I would rather have a smaller breakfast option. There is no maid services so if you need toilet paper you have to go get it. They do offer free coffee thruout the day. Location is walkable to the Old Town and right next to the train station.

Overall, the hotel is in a great location, close to the central train station (Hauptbahnhof). The room is clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great with lot of variety. I wish they had more fruits though. The only grip I have is the noise from the parking lot. My room was on the first floor and cars were parked directly underneath. I can hear every car door closing. I could also hear carts rolling on the ground. The walls are thin enough to hear the people in the room next door. The shower is open so water will get all over the bathroom floor.

The area is under construction and about 15-18 minutes' walk from the much more charming Old Town. STRENGTHS: Quiet, modern, great service for tourism ideas. Fast and reliable WiFi. Comfortable beds. Great location not far from the Hauptbahnhof (central train station). There is a lot of construction in the area but the front desk thoughtfully gave me a quiet room facing the back of the hotel. The room was clean, pleasant, and well-air-conditioned. Although not large, it was not cramped. Breakfast was excellent.

Hotel excelente com boa localização. Atendimento acima da média. Chegamos ao hotel cedo, por volta de 8am e conseguiram antecipar nosso checkin para 10am e ainda nos deram um upgrade de quarto. Quarto espaçoso, amenities de boa qualidade, banheiro de bom tamanho chuveiro bom. Enfim, me surpreendi com o hotel. Vale muito a pena. Deixamos disponível na recepção uma máquina de café/chocolate quente para se servir a vontade.

Wonderful hotel that’s walking distance to the center of Munich. Great amenities, clean room, and lots of restaurants nearby. The staff are really nice and provided exceptional customer service. They help identify an issue with a planned tour offered by Expedia (meeting location 2 hours away drive). Why it was offered for Munich is another issue. Regardless, they were very helpful. The hotel also has a free coffee for guest, which is an absolute treat. Highly recommended hotel for anyone visiting Munich, Germany. Thank you.

Marco, at the front desk, was personal, professional and went beyond his duties to ensure our comfort. We missed dinner due to a train cancellation and he ensured we did not retire hungry. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. We highly recommend this hotel.

Wir haben anlässlich eines Musicalbesuches eine Nacht im Hotel Metropol in einem Komfortzimmer mit Terrasse im 5. Stock übernachtet. Das Hotel ist absolut zu empfehlen. Sehr netter Empfang und Service, ein total liebevoll eingerichtetes einerseits nostalgisches und doch modernes Zimmer und ein hervorragendes Frühstück in einem sehr gemütlichen Frühstücksraum. Außerdem eine kostenlose Kaffeestation in der Lobby. Das ganze Hotel ist familiär und man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Es liegt auch günstig in Laufweite zur Altstadt und zum Deutschen Theater. Parkplätze in der Tiefgarage können für 19 Euro gebucht werden. Wenn wir mal wieder in München sind, werden wir sicher wieder hier nächtigen.

The hotel is handily located close to the Hauptbahnhof (central railway station). I had a warm welcome from Tomasz at reception who expressed concern that I hadn't arrived until 22:00, when reception closes at 23:00. He also had a wide knowledge of English football league teams, mentioning the League Two side from my home city on seeing my address. I was given a complimentary beer on check in. I was upgraded to a suite, which was lovely, with the room split into a 'bedroom', a 'lounge' and a bathroom. There was a TV in each of the 'bedroom' and 'lounge'. Unfortunately, I managed to hit my head a number of times on the metal frame in which the two TVs were set, which divided the room into bedroom and lounge, and which I also used as a bit of a desk. I hit my head one of these times when I tried to move around the room in the dark. The room was not cleaned during my stay; this was something explained on check-in; that they generally now only clean rooms when the occupancy changes and that you can obtain fresh towels, etc from a point in the corridor if needed. A sign in the lift said this was brought in during Covid as they dealt with staff sickness. The bathroom was modern and clean but unfortunately the shower (with both monsoon and spray fittings) didn't have a door and I found it impossible to stop water seeping out and leaving a large puddle on the bathroom floor which I had to mop up with the bath mat. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay.

The hotel is a few minutes walk from the central station, and also the subway and bus stops. A 20-min walk to Old Town, Marienplatz. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are spacious (for Europe) and clean. Would definitely return.

Das Hotel hat eine wirklich tolle Lage direkt am Hauptbahnhof. Es war möglich die Koffer schon vor Check-In beim sehr freundlichen Personal abzugeben. Das Zimmer ist mehr als ausreichend und sauber. Leider befindet sich auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite eine riesige und vor allem sehr laute Baustelle, welche dem Aussehen nach auch die nächsten Jahre nicht fertig wird. Wer also gern länger als 7 Uhr schlafen möchte sollte auf einen Besuch verzichten. Sonst gibt es wirklich nichts auszusetzen.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Hotel Metropol. The hotel was comfortable, the front desk staff were great and our room was clean and quiet. It was an easy walk from the train station and walkable to many of the sights Munich. The area the next block from the hotel was a little sketchy at night but safety was not an issue.

Beautiful property, close walk to old town. Room had a queen bed with a couch. Ac was cold, water pressure was good, bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Staff was very polite and helped in every way. We slept well and found plenty to eat within walking distance. The breakfast was incredible with tons of options to choose from. This is a family run property and they went out of their way to help us park and find a place to charge our EV.

Deluxe Double Room - 10/10. Clean. Good size. Quiet. Bathroom - 10/10. Clean. Lovely shower. Bed - 10/10. 2 singles pushed together. Quite comfy. WiFi - 10/10. Very good. Staff - 10/10. From check-in to check-out, all the staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast - 11/10! Amazing buffet. Huge variety and all of high quality. The cakes and pastries were superb and did vary from day to day. Hotel - 10/10. In a good location for touring the city (although directly opposite a half built hotel/car park). 5 mins from the main station (leave via the overground station exit at street level). Very pleasant and well run. Their approach to the room linen is to be applauded, as is the free tea/coffee station in the lobby. Would recommend and would use again if we’re ever back in Munich.
