Luis, Daniela and Alexis, who che ked us in were the epitome of customer service. They should teach hospitality at the graduate level. Rarely have we had better service and attention. 25 stars and they should all get a big raise!! The hotel could use a refresh in some spots but still very good value and absolutely 5 stars. Our TV fritzed and we had to watch the world cup match at the lobby...otherwise excellent!!

Don’t be fooled. The spa, sauna, and steam room is a separate business. It has very limited hours of 12:00 to 20:00 and is by reservation only. As a guest, you don’t have access and must pay extra. The “upgraded” room was supposedly renovated, but perhaps in 1982. The floors are disgusting, made of a woven sticky textured plastic that looks impossible to clean. In what world is plastic woven flooring normal? It was horrific to walk on. The huge windows open fully, which is extremely dangerous for children. No ability to use the TV for anything other than local channels. The bedding is poor quality and polyester. Rotting, water damaged bathroom door and shelves. Horrible workmanship for even the most simple tilework and caulking. The shower and toilet were so poorly engineered and designed, than you have to sit sideways to use the toilet, and carefully enter the shower by squishing behind the open door. The bathtub fills FROM the drain?? The dressing cabinets are useless, as the handles are tiny shallow circular holes that you must do your best to grasp to open. Overall, everything in the room was so ergonomically poor, that it was a nuisance to even use the sink, toilet, shower, cabinets, etc. This is a supposedly beloved hotel, but I cannot understand why. All this for over $360 USD per night. It was worth perhaps $120 USD. It’s clear that Barcelona is so over saturated that such a hotel can be considered 5 star. Ridiculous.
