Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage mit sehr schöner Aussicht. Das Personal ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich und größtenteils sogar mehrsprachig. Die Zimmer befinden sich in einem guten Zustand. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und verfügt über eine persönlich besetzte Omlettstation. Ebenfalls das Abendbuffet ist sehr gut. Zu Fuß ist man sehr schnell in der Innenstadt von Funchal. Zudem stehen viele kostenlose Parkplätze direkt am Hotel zur Verfügung. Die Poollandschaft sowohl innen als auch außen ist großzügig und gepflegt.

Komfortabelt og fint hotell. Utsikten er fin, og bakken fra havnivå og opp er ikke så ille. Veldig god og variert frokost. Nydelige rom og veldig komfortabel seng (de har en egen meny for puter). Deilig spaområde med basseng, boblebad og div badstuer. Trivelig barområde med flinke musikere på kveldstid. Det eneste som ikke var bra var pastaen vi bestilte som roomservice (smakløs og kjip). Totalinntrykket er imidlertid at dette er hotell vi vil tilbake til.

We stayed for our honeymoon in Madeira and loved it! The spa amenities, daily breakfast buffet and of course the views were incredible. We rented a car from the front desk and that process was SO easy and seamless. Parking was free and easy. This was the perfect spot for us to easily get on the highways and explore the island of Madeira each day. My husband and I are truly so pleased

Hotel was good, downside was the balcony, It was only big enough for a chair that faced the wall. Loved the eco friendlyness, we opted to not have the towel change everyday. Room was not that clean when we arrived. Hotels.com said the hotel had a VIP facility for gold status. I emailed hotel prior to arrival to confirm this. They said they did not offer this

The hotel had lovely decor and the public areas were always clean. The breakfast and dinner buffet was exceptional: a great choice and high quality foods. The room was very comfortable, and quiet at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was good throughout. The pool bar served lovely drinks at a reasonable price. My only negative comment would be that the room surfaces and floors were a little dusty even after the room had been cleaned. Everything else was excellent and I would stay here again.

This hotel is a true new gem with the best views in Funchal. The room was available straight away, and it was great; spacious, spotless and huge windows with amazing view. Central Funchal was walkable distance, and the nearest car rental service was quite literally across the road. The nearest supermarket was a bit of a walk away. The cleanliness and hygiene is an important factor to us and I have never seen a hotel as spotless as this one. The hallways and rooms were extremely tidy, hand sanitizer was available on every corner, the pools and spas were constantly cleaned as well as the pools’ waters hygiene measured. The breakfast service was hygienic and supervised for our entire stay. The breakfast was great with loads of variety. We did not eat dinner here, but the lobby bar was cozy with great service and classy live music every night and the room service was delicious and extremely affordable. I had a birthday during my stay and the hotel surprised me with a bottle of sparkling wine and box of confectionary chocolates in room. On top of this the hotel gifted me 35€ voucher to be used on the top foor restaurant, but unfortunately we did not have time to use this. The hotel itself was trendy, and for us the highlight was the indoor SPA of the hotel. Again, as clean as it can be it offered very luxurious SPA moments with pools, saunas and showers not forgetting the amazing view from the SPA too. Overall the hotel was very good value for the money, 10/10 recommend!

I didn't like that it was not walkable for someone with arthritis. We couldn't make a reservation for the rooftop dining experience, so had limited food options. Although, the buffet food was very good. The fruit left as a welcome gift should have been refreshed. Also, the pool area needs to be updated with new cushions, the existing ones were very soiled. Lidia was very warm and welcoming.

Fabulous adults only hotel. Super friendly with a green eco approach with cleaning the rooms, towels etc. We enjoyed buffet breakfast style restaurant with menu options too. The Michelin restaurant Desarma was the best experience, we added the wine flight to complete a special Birthday for my partner. It was a tad Nicer than The William restaurant at the Belmond Hotel. My score 4 stars for cleaning only because the windows were bit dirty and the floor around the windows where the tables are was quite dusty. Easy to walk down to town although up hill coming back, but do able. Taxis plentiful everywhere.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The views are truly breathtaking, the staff is very helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed the pool area, it had plenty of seating space and a small restaurant which was very convenient.

We spent 10 days at The Views Baia Hotel at the end of July 2024. We had a very nice superior twin room with sea view on the 8th floor. The hotel made a modern impression overall and the staff were friendly at all times. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The daily fresh fruit in particular upgraded the breakfast. The only real negative point is the very noisy streets in front of the door, which are still relatively busy both during the day and at night. You have to be aware of this if you want to relax at the outside pool. The city center can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes downhill and from the city center back to the hotel in at least 15 minutes. In any case, I can only recommend this great island!!!

We loved our stay here. Amazing food, nice staff, great big rooms. The only downside is that we were put into an accessible room when we didn’t need it so the toilet and shower were not very comfortable. Parking gets very busy in the afternoon-evening

Excellent séjour dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est bienveillant, efficace et très avenant. Le service est de qualité. Nous avions réservé en chambre Deluxe ce qui nous a offert quelques avantages :) Et n’oublions pas le point fort de l’hôtel : la vue ! Pour un prochain voyage à Madère, il est certain que nous reviendrons !

Great location, bc it close to everything. There's a trail from the hotel that leads down into the town. Clean room, balcony isn't that big but I didn't spend much time in my room. So it wasn't a deal breaker. I took a star away bc there are no irons in the room. Staff told me there is a room to iron your clothes on the 3rd floor. That's an inconvenience and kind of weird for me. The food was good and fresh, and there was an assortment to choose from. Overall I'd go back again.

My partner and I stayed at The Views Baía Hotel from Saturday, 10 May to Thursday, 15 May, and while the hotel had several positive aspects, a number of avoidable shortcomings prevented our experience from being truly memorable. Unfortunately, our stay got off to a poor start. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a blunt “Passports” from the front desk staff, with little to no further conversation apart from a brief mention of the visitor tax and the optional no-cleaning policy. I had to prompt questions regarding things like hotel parking, and overall, the interaction felt cold and transactional. A smile or even a “welcome” after a long day of travel would have gone a long way. Sadly, the check-out experience was almost identical—no inquiry about our stay or any farewell, just a bill and a goodbye. There were a few puzzling service moments during our stay. When we asked for an iron and ironing board, we were told that a single iron was available—but only in a service room on the 3rd floor of this 11-floor hotel, and it couldn't be brought to the room. Another odd instance involved a staff member knocking repeatedly just to hand over a single wrapped chocolate—nice idea, but a little overbearing in delivery. The Views Baía has potential—it’s well-situated, the facilities are modern, and the “no cleaning” discount was a unique perk. However, the lack of warmth in service, combined with a few service and comfort issues, kept this from being the relaxing and special stay. 3/5

Can’t recommend enough - the location is fantastic (despite the uphill walk on the way back from town) for visiting, the rooms are super spacious and clean, the breakfast has a good range of options and price wise it’s such good value for money. Above all though, the staff genuinely care and will go above and beyond to help - I want to give a special shout out to “Andreia” who really helped my family and I out on several occasions, it seems she works all hours because she’s always at the desk! I hope she sees this because she was truly wonderful at her job and didn’t care we asked so many questions! No need to look elsewhere, you can book this hotel and I promise you’ll be pleased.

Literally perfect in every single way, super clean, rooms were really spacious and so many great restaurants all walking distance away. Only complaint was parking/driving into the hotel premises. Parking fills up fast and trying to figure out how to get into the lot is a whole ordeal but this should not steer you away from booking. Highly recommend!

A great 3 night stay. We loved the location - super views but very easy to walk into the town to explore! We were able to park our car on site too which was a real bonus. Our room was clean comfortable and we had a lovely view of the port. We enjoyed the pool and terrace on our last day. One suggestion and that's for more information to be given on the Spa facilities. We thought they were great but sadly only found out about them at the very end of our stay. I have to mention the breakfast buffet. It was amazing. So much choice, catering for all tastes with great staff too If we returned to Funchal we would definitely stay here.

Hotel is situated within walking distance from Funchal city centre. Be aware that it is on a hill with quite a steep incline. Great amenities - indoor and outdoor pool, spa, gym, tennis court and pool table. Great restaurant with amazing food. Very helpful and polite staff. Hotel was very tidy and clean. We stayed for our honeymoon in Madeira and loved it! The spa amenities, daily breakfast buffet and of course the views were incredible. We rented a car from the front desk and that process was SO easy and seamless. Parking was free and easy. This was the perfect spot for us to easily get on the highways and explore the island of Madeira each day. My husband and I are truly so pleased

The quality of this hotel was superb, better than the 5* we stayed in previously. The spa facilities are immaculate (heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, ice bucket, four seasons shower etc.) – the only thing is it can get quite slippery due to the tiling so recommend wearing slippers/sea shoes. Breakfast was nice. We had the buffet one night and it was also good. Free shuttle service to Funchal seafront included. We plan to return!

The hotel had lovely decor and the public areas were always clean. The breakfast and dinner buffet was exceptional: a great choice and high quality foods. The room was very comfortable, and quiet at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was good throughout. The pool bar served lovely drinks at a reasonable price. My only negative comment would be that the room surfaces and floors were a little dusty even after the room had been cleaned. Everything else was excellent and I would stay here again.

I didn't like that it was not walkable for someone with arthritis. We couldn't make a reservation for the rooftop dining experience, so had limited food options. Although, the buffet food was very good. The fruit left as a welcome gift should have been refreshed. Also, the pool area needs to be updated with new cushions, the existing ones were very soiled. Lidia was very warm and welcoming.

Fabulous adults only hotel. Super friendly with a green eco approach with cleaning the rooms, towels etc. We enjoyed buffet breakfast style restaurant with menu options too. The Michelin restaurant Desarma was the best experience, we added the wine flight to complete a special Birthday for my partner. It was a tad Nicer than The William restaurant at the Belmond Hotel. My score 4 stars for cleaning only because the windows were bit dirty and the floor around the windows where the tables are was quite dusty. Easy to walk down to town although up hill coming back, but do able. Taxis plentiful everywhere.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist die stilvolle Abendunterhaltung mit Livemusik: Hochklassige Auftritte und echte Live-Gigs sorgen für eine besondere Atmosphäre, die den Aufenthalt spürbar aufwertet. Uns hat es dieses Mal außerordentlich gut gefallen – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

We had a wonderful few nights at this hotel. Staff were amazing, especially the chap at the pool bar. This was a repeat visit for me and I'd have no hesitation in returning in future. Comfortable rooms, great service, incredible choice at breakfast and dinner and of course wonderful leisure facilities. Thank you for making our birthday celebration so special.
