This is a very quaint, lovely historic hotel. The room was clean and quiet and beautifully decorated in a way that honors the old charm of the building. The air conditioning was such a relief from the summer heat as it was unusally high temperatures while we were in Beaune. Breakfast was delicious and the onsite parking was a big plus. The hotel is situated in the heart of old town, with many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and I recommend the Hotel Belle Epoque!

The hotel has a beautiful entrance and a great location, but unfortunately our stay was very disappointing. When we entered Family Room 4, we immediately noticed several ant bait stations on the floor. We assumed there had been a minor issue, but after returning from dinner we discovered a significant ant infestation on the ground floor of the room. There were ants on the floor, walls, curtains and table, along with many winged ants flying around, landing on the bed and in our luggage. We understand that the occasional ant can appear in summer, but this was far beyond that. I spoke to the female receptionist, whose solution was to offer us a 1.5-litre insecticide sprayer to treat the room ourselves. As I am pregnant and we were travelling with two small children, this was not an acceptable solution. Fortunately, we were moved to another family room (Room 10), although the air conditioning only worked in one bedroom. The most disappointing part was check-out. The owner became very aggressive, repeatedly called me a liar, claimed we had brought the ants with us, and insisted they had entered because we left the windows open—which we had not. The hotel has potential, but the condition of Family Room 4 and the way our concerns were handled left us deeply disappointed. If you are offered Family Room 4, I recommend checking carefully for ant bait stations and strong chemical odours before accepting it. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience!

No fridge, microwave or coffee maker in room but the staff provided everything we asked for. Excellent bakery 3 doors away and Old Town center just a 5 minute walk.
