Grand Hôtel Lille

Overall, a pleasant stay. Great location, some noise from the street during the nights.Ok breakfast. HOWEVER: We went as a group, and all of the guests in a 3-bed room on the first floor were COVERED in mosquito/bedbug-bites after the first night. Even worse after three nights. Not good. We are putting all our clothes in the freezer as a precaution just in case this isn't mosquito-bites

Good location in the centre around Lille. Good hotel for a trip here!

Contrary to the presentation of the hotel at Expedia site there was no such thing as free parking. At the recommendation of the hotel we hat to use a public parking close to the hotel for 26,40 Euro for the one night we stayed. Moreover, we were told that even in case one of the two (!) parking places of the hotel had been free, it would have been payable at a rate close to the one at the public garage. Getting from the hotel to the parking in Lille’s not so easy understandable traffic, coming back to the hotel and all the communication around parking including finding out how and where to pay cost us about an hour of our limited time in Lille. Service was friendly. No air conditioning on a hot day. That was ok as we knew that in advance. We were able to open the window, by doing so, however, we got mosquitos. Location is good. It is close to the old city center and the train station.

The room was slightly small but cosy. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
