Our stay at the Ryan Hotel was terrific. We only stayed overnight, but the staff was so helpful. We arrived for a walking tour, and our room wasn't ready yet. But, they held our bags, and even carried them upstairs for us, as soon as the room was ready. The onsite restaurant/pub The Crow's Nest had good food. Cong is a small town so everything is walkable. The bust stop is located just outside the hotel doors. Our room wasn't air conditioned, but Cong is so peaceful and quiet, we slept well with the windows open for a breeze.

Staff was very nice. Hotel well maintained. Pub had good food and breakfast provided had a variety of options. We were nervous about driving between the 2 buildings (it was narrow) to get to the parking, but it wasn't too bad. Definitely would stay again.

Older building but kept tidy. We were driving and ample parking behind building, desk was unattended at our random arrival time but the bell summoned someone quickly and we were off to our room. Comfortable bed, nice shower pressure, could have used a small fan to circulate air better for sleeping comfort. Nice outside patio area for drinks or dinner as well as inside bar and restaurant. Food was adequate and service was friendly and efficient. Nice hot and cold breakfast included the next morning.

Great hotel to stay in our first time to stay in Cong village hotel comfortable and very clean .Staff was helpful and very friendly great parking especially for Cong breakfast was great love this village and especially the scenery around it we do the quiet man tour each year searching for different scenes and buildings the scenery is second to none look forward to this each year

Nice people; especially Vickie in the bar & the gentleman that fixed our breakfast early! Room was small, but clean. Shower stall was very slippery. No lift, stairs easy to negotiate from rear patio. Entrance to car park very narrow by U.S. standards. No a/c and with window open, lots of loud street traffic noise from passing lorries.

Wonderful 2 night stay in a quaint village! Clean and spacious rooms. Excellent service with adjoining pub offering food. I was excited to discover that breakfast was included and it was excellent. Michael, the owner, was very hospitable and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

We have just checked out of this beautiful hotel and couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay! The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and has everything you need, the conjoined pub 'The Crows Nest' next door serves a fabulous menu and all the locals are very chatty and always so friendly. We were sad to check out as we had such a wonderful two days but would love to return in the future!

Historic charm you expect in Ireland however this hotel and the room was really worn. Single chair in the room was very stained and I did not want to sit on it. The room carpet looked dingy and I didn’t want to walk on it without shoes. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and pillows were poor. Breakfast was good, not great. Staff were friendly and there was plenty to eat. Our room faced the street and there were loud trucks from 3am and we were able to hear people in the bar all night long and a loud crowd on the Main Street at 1:30am. Walking around town very easy and close to abbey ruins and shops. I would look for other accommodations if I returned to Cong.

The location was great. Parking was fine. Lighted sign just below window made for a bright room even with curtains closed. Street noise was annoying although it quieted about midnight. Tech plugs were good. Inside corridors were a bit of a maze. Back entrance from parking required steps as one entrance/exit was unavailable. Ryan’s hotel was great at check in, no problems. The rooms are basic and look like they have recently been decorated but decoration is a bit mismatched. I would say a bit more money spent on finishing touches would go a long way. Very comfy bed and a good nights sleep. Breakfast was fine, nothing special as its buffet. Hotel would probably score higher if they could serve individually but staff levels appeared low with the same helpful gent booking in, cooking and serving breakfast. I would stay again.

The accommodations were perfectly fine—clean and comfortable if not extraordinary. But what makes Ryan’s Hotel such a great destination is the lovely village of Cong and the incredible staff. The gentlemen who checked me in and took care of me at breakfast the next morning were simply wonderful and charming, and very generous giving me options for how to enjoy the village and surrounding area. Furthermore, the breakfast spread was incredible. Continental style, but expansive and delicious. Great place!

Cong is a fabulous village to visit and this pub was an ideal base. Parking at the rear. Good breakfast, helpful and friendly publican.

Our stay at the Ryan Hotel was terrific. We only stayed overnight, but the staff was so helpful. We arrived for a walking tour, and our room wasn't ready yet. But, they held our bags, and even carried them upstairs for us, as soon as the room was ready. The onsite restaurant/pub The Crow's Nest had good food. Cong is a small town so everything is walkable. The bust stop is located just outside the hotel doors. Our room wasn't air conditioned, but Cong is so peaceful and quiet, we slept well with the windows open for a breeze.

Cong is a quaint little town, according to the desk staff, they have a population of about 40. It is an island in the river. The food in the pub next to the hotel is excellent. The morning breakfast was very good. The people were great. There are a number of attractions close at hand. I spent most of my time and money buying woolens in a shop just down the street. Seventy some years ago "The Quiet Man" was filmed here and it ties into a number of the attractions. If you fish, this is the place.

All the hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable! Breakfast was very good and the restaurant bar was also tasty. Great location in Cong. Walking distance to pubs, shopping and hiking.

Great location. Friendly staff. Excellent good sized rooms with great bed. Very good food both breakfast and evening meals. Would definitely recommend and certainly book again if we were in the area.

Staff was very nice. Hotel well maintained. Pub had good food and breakfast provided had a variety of options. We were nervous about driving between the 2 buildings (it was narrow) to get to the parking, but it wasn't too bad. Definitely would stay again.

Ryan’s hotel was great at check in, no problems. The rooms are basic and look like they have recently been decorated but decoration is a bit mismatched. I would say a bit more money spent on finishing touches would go a long way. Very comfy bed and a good nights sleep. Breakfast was fine, nothing special as its buffet. Hotel would probably score higher if they could serve individually but staff levels appeared low with the same helpful gent booking in, cooking and serving breakfast. I would stay again.

The accommodations were perfectly fine—clean and comfortable if not extraordinary. But what makes Ryan’s Hotel such a great destination is the lovely village of Cong and the incredible staff. The gentlemen who checked me in and took care of me at breakfast the next morning were simply wonderful and charming, and very generous giving me options for how to enjoy the village and surrounding area. Furthermore, the breakfast spread was incredible. Continental style, but expansive and delicious. Great place!

Wonderful 2 night stay in a quaint village! Clean and spacious rooms. Excellent service with adjoining pub offering food. I was excited to discover that breakfast was included and it was excellent. Michael, the owner, was very hospitable and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

The man at the desk was lovely and helpful. The king sized bed was very comfortable - duvet was winter warm and a bit too heavy for a summer stay (but that is just a minor issue). The shower was lovely. The room was a room. Nothing special, but nothing bad. The breakfast was great. Overall, the stay was fine and only marred by the smell in the lobby, (entering I was overcome with the smell of urine). Luckily the smell did not reach the guest room. ,and it had somewhat dissipated by the morning. We were swayed in booking by the 9.2 rating, which is honestly too high. It is a cozy hotel in a cozy town. But it is not a 9.2 stay.

We virus Cong every year and always stay at Ryan’s Hotel. It’s clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and very helpful. Ryan’s is right in the centre of Cong within walking distance of Ashford castle and lots of locations from ‘The Quiet Man’ film. We visited the Guinness Tower on this occasion and climbed the stone steps that spiral to the top. Always something new to do
