Stayed 3 nights. good location; lift/elevator not working after first day; luckily our luggage was light. Spa pricing seemed excessive. Breakfast table service quite slow; understaffed, waited 40 minutes for hot food on first day - not acceptable at these prices.

Front of house staff on arrival not very pleasant an not very helpful Lesuire center facilities could do with a more senior staff member running the facilities Jacuzzi not workin Steam room temperature over an above what most people could bare Sauna was the complete opposite Telephone in our room wasnt working so coudnt contact repection or dining As no booklet within the room to let us kw what was on the hotel dining menu or what was happen within the locality @ 5 oclock in the evening there still was no menu printed when we asked to see the evening dinner menu Over all the hotel is a nice hotel but needs a few teeks and has great potential

Very friendly staff. Very relaxed setting - deep sofas and armchairs to relax into. There was live music both nights that we were there and a unique cocktail: The Croagh Patrick with whisky, peach schnaps and mango juice. Mmm

This is a nice hotel - large reception with lots of seating areas, big restaurant/bar area, spa, beautiful grounds, walkable to the quay area for restaurants, and a long but doable walk to town. Mary at the front desk was very nice and gracious when we checked in and through our stay. Some negatives - the property and the rooms are showing some signs of age and wear. Carpets need refreshing. We found our bedroom to be spacious. Breakfast was a bit better than average, although the breakfast staff seemed inexperienced and not as well trained as in many hotel restaurants. No decaf coffee ?? The dinner dining room staff were much better - excellent and attentive.

+ Nettes Personal + Kostenloser Parkplatz + Gutes Frühstück + Großes Zimmer + zentrale Lage zur Innenstadt & zum Hafen, alles fußläufig. - gesamtes Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen, viel Teppich. - "SPA"- Bereich ist lediglich ein Schwimmbecken und ein Jacuzzi, keine Relax-Zone, oder Ruheraum. Die Umkleiden sind sehr alt und die Duschen bräuchten eine Renovierung.

Staff would need to be trained on cleaning tables properly. Staff should be carrying the food out on trays to the tables and not bringing the plates with food on them to the tables using tea towels. Most of the staff are very pleasant but a few could smile a bit more. Rooms were clean and fresh towels, etc provided every day. The food was excellent.

The check-in process was very easy and the receptionist was very smiley and welcoming. The service at breakfast was very efficient once the order was placed. The bedrooms were made up every day which was good. Entertainment in the evening was very good also. Thank you.

The hotel is basic and very run down.There was a smell of damp in the room and it was cold.Lots of updating is needed.The breakfast was fair , the bacon was burnt to a crisp.However , the staff were very friendly

The place is nice due to the water front but overall super outdated. The rooms had carpet still which is just personal preference that we did not like. The restrooms/bathrooms were very outdated and the linens were not clean.. one had lipstick stain on it. Parking was easy, checking in and out was smooth as well.

So disappointed this beautiful hotel has become so run down and delapidated- amazing setting - fabulous potential but very disappointing overall/ caters to over 55 / nearer to 70/ like visiting old peoples home?? Poor level of cleanliness- pool area unacceptable- jacuzzi used by 4 elderly men through out my time at beach club experience- staff totally disinterested as these men continued to press jacuzzi button - monopolising jacuzzi for themselves to detriment of other guests- and in contravention of health guidance- probably pissed in jacuzzi as well- given amount of time they remained in jacuzzi- oblivious to others in vicinity who would have appreciated being able to use jacuzzi- but given previous concerns- decided not such a good idea- really-the whole experience was nothing short of just awful- left hotel and went to Wyatt- in centre town- fabulous atmosphere food and entertainment- returned later that evening to the Westport Woods/ bar area just like a retirement home- two older men playing and dinging on guitar- woeful!!breakfast next morning reasonable/ opted for vegetarian- someone needs to explain chef what a poached egg should look like- not dry and hard boiled- definitely won’t be back- so disappointing and awful !!!

Its such a beautiful location and close to everything. Staff was wonderful and hotel very clean. The only thing is my mattress was so old that it dipped in center, was hard and i felt springs.

Very spacious rooms with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, but the bathroom really lets the property down - it probably hasn’t been updated since the mid 90s and it’s really starting to show; very tired looking, mold around the bath and just very tatty. Such a shame as the bedrooms are lovely. Free Parking, lovely staff and good breakfast.

Nice hotel, stayed for a wedding which was excellent. Rooms on the top floor had small windows which hardly opened so the room was hot and stuffy. I can imagine it would be pretty unbearable in the summer. Breakfast was good but we always had to go and ask for tea and coffee, it was never offered.

Check in was impersonal. Room, while airy was dull, stained carpet, scratched furniture, lumpy, hard bed. Towels - soft & fluffy. Toiletries - quite nice. Great place to stay with friendly staff. The only thing that let it down was the morning breakfast. There was a large group in just before us and we were shown to a table which was promptly cleared and cleaned for us. We then got up to get some food from the buffet. We returned to our table holding our food only to find that another waitress had seated people on our given table. We were then shown to another dirty table. Not impressed by this system of seating guests. The plates for hot food were cold meaning our food was soon cold too

Was a little dated just replacing the sign would give the hotel a more inviting and newer look. The breakfast was very good. Nice walk in the woods behind the hotel and walkable to the town and the harbor

The location was lovely. The staff were very professional and pleasant. We had a cold room and need a portable heater as the one in the room was not working. The phone in the room didn’t have a handset and was not working at all. We had dinner there. The main meal was delicious however, the dessert wasn’t very good. Not all elements described on the menu were on the plate. The continental breakfast was very good.
