Le Prieure

For the most part, the staff was not friendly nor welcoming. I booked two rooms at the end of April for a July 19th chicken, chicken, and neither were close to each other. The goal of this trip is to be close to our adult daughters and we were in two separate buildings. We were accommodated on the second night of our trip with two upgraded rooms closer to each other however, the door to our suite broke and we were not able to use that room for that second night. We do commend the one staff member who went out of his way to try and resolve the door issue that night, however it wasn’t possible. The next day, when we went to move our daughters into their new room the staff members on shift at that time questioned whether or not we should actually be able to move into the rooms, questioning our honesty about what had occurred the day before with their colleague overall, we had an OK stay, the pool is lovely and was welcomed on hot days however the menu options at the pool are ridiculous. Nine euros for a can of Coke is not realistic.

Gorgeous place to spend while in that area - right outside of Avignon, but not really walkable so will have to take a cab, not easy to get especially when coming back from Avignon - but the property is gorgeous and very walkable within the town of Villenueve les Avignon and all the delicious restaurants around, the recommendations from staff for dinner were right on point and delicious - the grounds of the hotel are peaceful and so beautiful to walk around in, the pool and the temperature of the water are so refreshing especially after a very hot day of sight seeing - we went to dinner at the restaurant the evening we arrived, there was a cancellation so we go lucky ( make a reservation if you want to eat there) didn't know it was a Michelin star restaurant but when the food started arriving, you will know that it is a top notch restaurant, everything was delicious but the entree, something was off, but enjoyed all the other plates - all was great except the WiFi -was very slow and temperamental and in addition, thought the breakfast was included with the stay but it was not, would have walked into town to get breakfast if I knew that - breakfast did not change for all the 4 days we stayed there, would have been nice for a bit of variety but that being said, we loved our stay there and the staff are super friendly and helpful - we would definitely stay here again!

I don't usually leave written reviews but want to here. If there was a single thing wrong with this hotel we didh't encounter it. Staff went above and beyond. Personal service was exceptionally well delivered. The facilities not only were well conceived and maintained but significantly contributed to the serenity of place. Small touches everywhere. Truly an amazing experience. Kudos.

This place was amazing, quite literally zero complaints! The town is very nice, with Avignon only a 10 min drive. The hotel is stunning, and the property is massive. It’s got a secure parking lot (free) out back, a big beautiful pool and a beautiful dining and breakfast area. The breakfast itself was fantastic! The staff was very nice and welcoming. The room was amazing; big, spacious, and a very comfortable bed. I would go back to this hotel without hesitation. I wish we had stayed more than 3 nights! It is a 10/10 find. Highly recommend to anyone traveling in the area.

Great property right outside of the Avignon city center. Beautiful grounds make you feel like you are in the countryside although you’re a short drive into Avignon

The hotel is really comfortable and cosy. The swimming is beautiful. Fantastic spot to relax in the afternoon. The staff is very attentive. Decor is a bit dated - everything works. It is in a great small village within 10mn of Avignon. Do not hesitate to rent a city bike - super easy and a beautiful ride to Avignon Center.

Just finished our road trip around France, and Le Prieure was by far the best property we encountered. Large and spacious room, excellent grounds, and impeccable customer service!

Great location in town with separate parking. Room and bed comfortable with large balcony. Great service at desk and restaurant (breakfast & dinner).

The grounds we lovely, serene and quiet. Parking was secure and easy. Our only complaint was the front desk staff were not warm and friendly which sets the tone for the property and stay. The dining room staff was very friendly in contrast.

Dès notre arrivée, l’accueil a été totalement non professionnel : ils ne retrouvaient pas notre réservation et ont même voulu nous refaire payer la chambre. Après de longues minutes de discussion, le problème a été réglé, mais ce fut un vrai calvaire. La première chambre qui nous a été attribuée était sale, ce qui est inacceptable à ce niveau de standing. Seul bon point : après réclamation, nous avons été surclassés — difficile de dire si c’était un geste commercial ou une simple nécessité face au manque de propreté. En résumé : prestations loin d’être à la hauteur d’un 5 étoiles. Service désorganisé, accueil déplorable, manque de rigueur… Nous ne reviendrons pas.

We had a nice stay. The property is very pretty. Room felt dated; linens/napkins were frayed; and when we walked from main lobby to our room at night, the stairs and landing had no lighting. Could have been dangerous. I think attention to updating/upgrading the hotel should be done.

Y avons séjourné pour un mariage dans les environs, deux nuit trois jours de rêve. Chambre spacieuse, calme avec salle de bain spacieuse également d’une propreté implacable. Tout le personnel est très aimable et gentil, nous ne voulions plus repartir et aimerions y revenir, essayer également l’autre établissement du groupe aux Baux de Provence, on a adoré !!! Le jardin, les platanes majestueux avec possibilité de prendre ses repas sous une glycine….très romantique.

Needs to be given a facelift Very tired looking albeit an old monastery

This was not a 5 star hotel and description of rooms and hotel is very misleading. We’ve stayed at Relais Chateau hotels in the past and they were very nice. This hotel desperately needs remodeling. We requested an updated room but none were available so it’s clear that they’ve renovated some and not others but don’t disclose that information. For over $500 per night this was a disappointing part of our trip.

This place was amazing, quite literally zero complaints! The town is very nice, with Avignon only a 10 min drive. The hotel is stunning, and the property is massive. Quiet. Peaceful. Pretty garden. But not tops in my experiences with Relais & Chateau’s of other places. Small room.

Beautiful property, attentive, friendly and accommodating staff. Very comfortable room. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Very comfortable and cozy hotel. Amicable staff. Perfect location. Remarkable buildings. Seems to be a be nosy if you sleep in the living room of the ground floor suit. The bed is good. The sofa is not comfortable for sleeping

A quieter village is a break from tourist crowds in Avignon. The property is a touch of old school Relais and Chateaux. Beautiful grounds for outdoor dining. Several other restaurants in Villeneuve-Les-Avignon village.

Everything was absolutely excellent! The staff was charming, the grounds beautiful and the food- over the top amazing!

I recently stayed at the Prieure Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was absolutely beautiful, with tasteful decor and a comfortable bed that made my stay very enjoyable. The service was top-notch; the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests. The food at the hotel's restaurant was excellent. Every meal was a delight, with a wide variety of dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. The gardens surrounding the hotel are stunning, providing a peaceful and picturesque setting that made my stay even more relaxing. The only thing missing was a gym. It would have been great to have a facility for workouts during my stay. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Prieure Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and serene getaway.

The hotel was amazing! Great staff and service. Breakfast particularly good. Only missing a concierge.
