The staff were lovely and service was mostly good (although room service was extremely slow). Room was very clean and comfortable but the decor and finish was quite dated. Good choice of bars, restaurants and outdoor spaces, although pools and terrace access was restricted on occasion for private events, which seems unfair to paying guests. It didn’t affect us as we went out, but may be inconvenient for those looking to stay at the resort to relax.

The property is beautiful and excellent..Very clean and good restaurants. We had an exciting stay. The only negative is all the swimming pools have deep ends and not ideal for moderate swimmers. This discouraged a lot of guests from swimmers. There were no lifeguards by the pool either. I nearly drowned but for people nearby.

Don’t be put off by the building works — although unsightly on arrival, the noise was minimal and didn’t impact our stay at all. The hotel offers a great choice of pool areas with plenty of sunbeds, so there’s no need to get up early to reserve one. There’s also easy access to the sea for those who fancy a swim. On the downside, we arrived just before 12pm and were told check-in wasn’t until 3pm, which was fine. However, when 3pm came, we were repeatedly told it would be “just two more minutes,” and we didn’t actually receive our key until 3:20pm. It was clear the room had been prepared in a rush, as the dressing gowns and hairdryer were missing. The gowns were replaced quickly, but the hairdryer turned into more of an ordeal — housekeeping even suggested I hadn’t looked properly, which was frustrating. Thankfully, a visit to concierge resolved the issue, and a special mention goes to Brian, who was fantastic. The on-site restaurants — Don Royale (Italian) and Henry Beans (American-style burgers, ribs, steaks, etc.) — offered a great selection of food. Don Royale is very popular, so I’d recommend booking in advance. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel, with an excellent variety and high-quality food. Despite a few minor issues, I would definitely stay here again.

Such a lovely hotel, great location and staff were very accommodating and helpful. Great facilities with the indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast box we had for our early morning flight was amazing and beautifully presented. We would recommend this hotel.

Hotel commands a fantastic location on St George's Bay. Excellent facilities and helpful staff. Decent breakfast service. Did note the large number of non hotel residents occupying sun loungers every day (they wear coloured wrist bands and pay for a day pass). Their number increased greatly at weekends, with whole families descending on the lido. And they come with packed lunches. Needs to be better controlled.

Hotel was lovely, breakfast was great. Gym, indoor pool and jacuzzi. Spa was lovely as were the outdoor swimming pools and access to the sea. Also used tennis courts. Lots of construction work next door but not affected by any noise. Easy walk to Spinola Bay with nice restaurants (away from PaceVille nightlife). Hotel restaurants also had delicious food. Great base for exploring the island.

My room was upgraded from Delux twin room Seaview front for a family room with sea view front and it was extremely moldy and smelly of the pipes and actually existing really bad smell so it wasn't upgrade it was downgrade. The next day I ask from desk and a manager to give me the room I booked from Expedia app to have my twin dialogues a room for Seaview front I was told that everything was absolutely booked because of the wedding of the whole week and the weekends and the only room they have basic twin room pool view. So I said because I paid for specific room more money than what they offering me and what I was upgraded in the beginning which is was downgrade besides upgrade. I ask them to get them maybe free dinner for me and manager kindly and nicely give me a free voucher for dinner however in this room having a really big issues with Cockroaches.

The hotel itself is beautiful — spotless public areas, stunning views, multiple pools, and a peaceful private beach area. Room was in very poor condition. The curtains didn’t even close all the way (there were hooks that had no curtain on it which meant there was a gap always with no curtain and the curtain couldn’t be pulled over it). The room is dated. The aircon is from last century. The duvet didn’t even fit the duvet cover - the side and the bottom had a lot of extra duvet cover which I wouldn’t expect from a 5 star facility. It’s doesn’t take much to get duvet covers that fit the duvet. It’s luxury to have a big duvet. It doesn’t feel luxury to have just a duvet cover over you with no duvet in it. It was also very dangerous as I tripped over the excess duvet cover draped on the floor because there was so much of it. The bed was very comfy but otherwise did not think much of the room. House keeping were very sweet and took care of the fact our bed wasn’t a twin as we asked. The room also smelt very stale and musky. Very off putting. Nothing could be done about the room when I complained. Wasn’t impressed by the hotel and would not recommend it. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer sehen halt nicht mehr so toll aus wie auf den Fotos. Das Sofa in unserer Juniorsuite war durchgesessen und die Plättli an der Badewanne lösten sich. Das Personal war Freundlich und gibt sich sehr viel mühe (Kompliment).

Clean comfortable bed and the room in general is clean, but the carpets are dirty around the edges. There was a piece of rubbish outside the room on arrival, which was still there on my departure 5 days later. The air conditioning is very loud and the room key stops working constantly if this touches electronic equipment, such as a mobile. The shower in the bath isn’t great and the toilet constantly refilled. My view on the hotel is that this is a 4 star at best. Old hotel to be refurbished. Very bad spa area, noisy and not very clean, especially sauna. Mentioned on website to have steam room but didn’t nore shuttle bus. Housekeeping needs improvement in terms of simple special requests at the executive rooms. Lounge very poor compare to Corinthian city hotels. BUT.. once mention all these above to guest relation manager, Rachel and Elina, they made their best to make our two weeks stay pleasant and they succeeded. Thanks to them, Brian and Ashow in reception, Jean and Symantec in Lounge Hall and Joost, Ana and Muni at Broadside restaurant. Their staff in those areas are excellent!!

We had a sea view with a balcony which made the stay very relaxing. There is a lot of construction work going on right by the hotel so perhaps ask for a room away from the noise. There is a dedicated taxi service into Valletta for 20 euros each way, although the local bus runs every 15 minutes or so and costs a few euros but takes about an hour. Staff were helpful, although if like me, you like to read through what is around and going on, (I can't absorb everything all at once!) there wasn't really much in the way of a welcome pack in the room. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious! As was the food in the nearby restaurants. If you want Spa treatments be prepared to pay 50% up front. Book early as the slots get go quickly. Being someone that has regular treatments and is a therapist as well, I wasn't overly impressed with the treatments, which seemed rushed, and not comparable in movements or delivery with the way I am used to. Really liked the hotel and location, as I am not a fan of being right in the middle of hustle and bustle. The price was right although there are parts of the hotel very much in need of updating.

We had a great time, but this location is not perfect for families; If you're travelling with children under 16, be aware that the pools are off limits after 5pm. We wished that at least one of the pools would allow children after 5pm.

Rooms were fine. Nice balcony. Outdated rooms but spacious so we were fine with it. Staff were friendly. Great views of the sea and opposite peninsula. The restaurants are over priced. Lots of construction going on right next to the resort so there was a lot of noise. If you live in a big city then I’m sure it’ll be naturally tuned out. We used the pool and hot tub inside and enjoyed that. We did not do the tour buses but there is a stop outside of the building which is very convenient.

I had a 4 night stay in a single bedroom with twin single beds for me and my daughter. I have lung cancer and snore rather loudly which meant my daughter couldn’t sleep. I went to concierge to explain my situation and Edgar was on duty. I explained my situation and in a flash, he had spoken to the manager who couldn’t do enough for me, and offered a complimentary suite for the remaining 3 days. They put a single bed in the lounge and this was all done by the time I had packed up my old room. He also helped me out throughout my stay with recommendations on activities and places to see. Edgar is such a genuine and empathetic person who is a huge credit to the hotel. Thanks for everything.

We were welcomed with open arms at the hotel. The reception staff was very professional and friendly, and they were so kind to arrange an upgrade to the executive floor for us. The complimentary service we experienced in the Pearl Lounge was of an exceptional level. All of the staff there, as well as in the breakfast buffet area, was extremely attentive to our needs and we felt very much treated as royalty throughout our stay.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. The entire hotel, even how it smells, feels luxurious, calming and beautiful! It was well worth going for a sea view balcony and getting that outstanding sunrise view every morning! Highly recommend a massage in the spa as well!

For a 5* hotel this is very underwhelming. The property is extremely dated and the rooms are in disrepair. We had to move rooms on our first night because multiple items in the room were broken (shower, kettle, safe and the lock on the door). There is also a significant amount of construction noise on one side of the property. HOWEVER, once we moved rooms (at our own expense) this wasn’t noticeable. The pool is good, as is the proximity to shops/restaurants. Onsite restaurants are of a good standard, particularly the Italian and Steakhouse. Hotel staff are hit and miss, with some being very pleasant and others extremely rude and arrogant. If you’re looking for a ‘quiet’ location, this isn’t for you. Paceville is 10 minutes away and densely populated with nightlife and drunk tourists. Overall I’d say the hotel is closer to a 3* and think we would be unlikely to return considering all of the above. Hope this helps and gives you an honest overview!

Van de eerste tot laatste minuut top! Zeer goede ligging,centrum op wandelafstand. Algemeen is de bediening onthaal,restaurant,zwembad kamers...erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, zeer propere kamers,dagelijks komen ze 2 x de kamers opruimen en voorzien van water en handdoeken. Als je de executieve 2 pers kamer met zeezicht reserveert heb je daar van 10h tot 22h een excutieve lounge bij met allerhande dranken en hapjes,waar je naar believen in en uit kunt.We waren aangenaam verrast ermee. Zwembaden zeer proper en goed onderhouden. Genoeg strandstoelen en parasols. Strandhandoeken ook voorzien, Toegang tot zee aanwezig ,geen strand maar wel plateaus met ligstoelen en parasols. Hotel is omgeven door verschillende restaurants. Kortom top week gehad.

Ich war nun bereits das fünfte Mal dort. Der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Gegenüber des Hotels befindet sich eine Großbaustelle, aber wenn man ein Zimmer mit Meerblick hat, bekommt man davon nichts mit. Es ist insgesamt sehr ruhig gelegen.

Great hotel with fantastic staff - especially front desk and concierge who were incredibly helpful. Lots of amenities and the exec lounge was a lovely bonus (available for selected rooms), with snacks and drinks available all day. Restaurants on site were very good - especially Sole. St George’s Bay Area is touristy and not the prettiest once you’re outside of the hotel due to quite a bit of construction, but there is a sandy beach and shops/restaurants/nightlife. It’s also easy to get around and explore from there. The view from the hotel itself though is stunning and you can swim directly in the sea from the hotel area.

Hotel was lovely, breakfast was great. Gym, indoor pool and jacuzzi. Spa was lovely as were the outdoor swimming pools and access to the sea. Also used tennis courts. Lots of construction work next door but not affected by any noise. Easy walk to Spinola Bay with nice restaurants (away from PaceVille nightlife). Hotel restaurants also had delicious food. Great base for exploring the island.

Fantastic service, staff were incredibly helpful. Executive lounge was great for drinks and snacks throughout the day. Restaurants on site and nearby were good. Lots of loungers and indoor pool was heated

On arrival the the hotel the staff were very welcoming and polite as this was are very first time visiting Malta for my birthday as I made them aware of this before hand they were kind enough to upgrade our room and made sure we had everything we needed to have the most enjoyable stay very helpful and informative the breakfast had a large number of options and the the restaurant were great too and fairly priced with delicious options I would definitely recommend this place and would love to return again in the warmer months.

The staff were lovely and service was mostly good (although room service was extremely slow). Room was very clean and comfortable but the decor and finish was quite dated. Good choice of bars, restaurants and outdoor spaces, although pools and terrace access was restricted on occasion for private events, which seems unfair to paying guests. It didn’t affect us as we went out, but may be inconvenient for those looking to stay at the resort to relax.

Great hotel with fantastic staff - especially front desk and concierge who were incredibly helpful. Lots of amenities and the exec lounge was a lovely bonus (available for selected rooms), with snacks and drinks available all day. Restaurants on site were very good - especially Sole. St George’s Bay Area is touristy and not the prettiest once you’re outside of the hotel due to quite a bit of construction, but there is a sandy beach and shops/restaurants/nightlife. It’s also easy to get around and explore from there. The view from the hotel itself though is stunning and you can swim directly in the sea from the hotel area.

Don’t be put off by the building works — although unsightly on arrival, the noise was minimal and didn’t impact our stay at all. The hotel offers a great choice of pool areas with plenty of sunbeds, so there’s no need to get up early to reserve one. There’s also easy access to the sea for those who fancy a swim. On the downside, we arrived just before 12pm and were told check-in wasn’t until 3pm, which was fine. However, when 3pm came, we were repeatedly told it would be “just two more minutes,” and we didn’t actually receive our key until 3:20pm. It was clear the room had been prepared in a rush, as the dressing gowns and hairdryer were missing. The gowns were replaced quickly, but the hairdryer turned into more of an ordeal — housekeeping even suggested I hadn’t looked properly, which was frustrating. Thankfully, a visit to concierge resolved the issue, and a special mention goes to Brian, who was fantastic. The on-site restaurants — Don Royale (Italian) and Henry Beans (American-style burgers, ribs, steaks, etc.) — offered a great selection of food. Don Royale is very popular, so I’d recommend booking in advance. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel, with an excellent variety and high-quality food. Despite a few minor issues, I would definitely stay here again.

Such a lovely hotel, great location and staff were very accommodating and helpful. Great facilities with the indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast box we had for our early morning flight was amazing and beautifully presented. We would recommend this hotel.

The breakfast at the facilities is excellent. Really enjoyed the perk of executive club with daily Tea and Coffee availability with nibbles. David, at the bar was very good!
