La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio at the RIM

Beautiful property. During our stay no guest key cards were working so a member of the staff had to let us into our rooms every time we came back. But they were helpful and friendly and we had zero issues!

Very clean. Has EV chargers on site which was very convenient.

Pool super clean breakfast was great bacon sausage ham waffles cold/hot cereal

Rooms are quiet, air conditioners function well but a little loud, hot water in showers have good water pressure, breakfasts are nice with decent coffee offered, property is very close to shopping and other San Antonio attractions. Only problem was the pool water didn't seem to be maintained as well as it should. Water was cloudy and uninviting with multiple guests opting out of using. This could be a health hazard if improperly addressed. Overall hotel is well maintained and staffed appropriately as facility is clean and comfortable.

I really liked the rooms, it was very comfortable and the beds. The only two things i didnt like was the fact that A. The pool was FREEZING B. Listed with a hot tub but there actual isnt one??? The guy had no idea what I was talking about

Have stayed multiple times, always a great greeting. Rooms clean and comfortable bedding. Lots of parking and great location.

The pool side was comfy and very inviting the whole vibe. Was calm and relaxed.

The elevator kept malfunctioning was the only complaint, aside from that geeat staff and enjoyed my stay.

Bathroom floor was dirty

This is a good option for a visit to La Cantera. However, the hallway rugs could use more vacuuming.

Customer service was great but the room was not clean. We checked in at 4pm after a long ride just to realize that the room was not clean. The entrance had spots all over, the bathroom tile had those spots as well. Even the shower tub had hairs. When we sat on the bed, we found a bug. I grabbed it with a napkin and took it to the front desk . The guy there was very kind and gave us a different room. Overall was fine but Just not the best experience for us .

Room was dirty, personal belongings were under the bed from previous stay. I asked for extra bath towels for the morning and staff said they could only dispense 2 per room. Also asked for complimentary lotion and was told it was locked away in closet. The air conditioner had a horrible smell when it would turn on. The shades are not layered and have no option to let daylight in with privacy. The pool has no courtesy towels or towel baskets. The main lobby smells like mildew. Kitchen staff wiped all tables and counters with the same clothe throughout entire breakfast time. Receptionist was on personal phone having a phone call on speaker the whole morning during breakfast time.

AC was loud. It wasn’t like a steady white noise. It was like loud.. and then quiet… and then slowly LOUD and then back again and onwards. The shower stall floor was dirty.

Room was very nice and pool was too ! quiet and room was modern me and my wife had a great stay!

The only thing about my stay at this hotel was, I did not like that there were no black out blinds or shades in the room and there was just to much light coming in from the street lights outside,it felt like I was sleeping with the lights on in the room and I cant sleep with lights on, so i did not sleep good at all when I was there. My ask it that you please put black out curtains ,blinds or shades to reduce the amount of light that comes into the room at night. Thank you Mr McIntosh

It was a great room, very new hotel. The only issue was the very slow internet. It was very difficult to work there.

The property was very clean. Right down the street from the Rim. So close to shops and various dining options. Room was clean a little smaller than normal and there was no closet. And the hanging rack

The walls were so thin, we could hear the next room using the bathroom when we were in the bathroom. Pillows were very uncomfortable and flat.

Nice new hotel. My only complaint is it can get loud in the hallway of the rooms with just normal traffic, needs sound proofing by, somewhere, under the door, somewhere. But I would definitely stay again.

Things I liked: 1. Room had a fridge-freezer and a microwave! So reheating leftovers and storing them were easy 2. Establishment uses Dove products for shampoo, conditioner and body wash (in my favorite scent too!) 3. Location is great as it’s right next to the RIM and Lifetime. So walking was the best option 4. Pricing was reasonable and fair. You get what you pay for 5. Newer establishment the time of our visit Staff was friendly but nothing to write home about. One thing I will say about the system is that we did a pre check in but the front desk saying it doesn’t work…. Then why continue to have the option there if it doesn’t work? Cleanliness of the room was honestly bordering poor to average. There were unknown splatters by the toilet, the carpet made my feet dirty (so I put on socks), the bathroom door stop was broken, the bed was okay in comfort, but what really shocked us were the pillows being square… so they weren’t comfortable to sleep on. The room above us were having some party so you can hear between the floors and walls. It was really disturbing our sleep, so the experience wasn’t great there. We were also leaving the next day anyway, so we didn’t bother about the noise. But wanted to note on how you can basically hear everything. The breakfast was average. The typical type of breakfast you see in the Texas inn’s like the Texas waffles, some instant oatmeal, eggs, and cereal.

The hotel was clean and new and up-to-date. The only issue we had there was no blackout curtains over the windows and the street lights from the shopping centers were bright all night in our bedroom

Tv didn’t work in the room Light switch controlled ALL the lights, water flow in shower was not very good

Staff at arriving had our reservation wrong. They were claiming that I only booked one room when I had booked 2 rooms. and even though my confirmation papers said 2 rooms they were going by their system that said only one room and would not budge. finally, after much arguing, we convinced them that the price I had paid was for 2 rooms not 1.

room was great. Staff helpful and friendly. The one staff member i will say went above, and beyond. Was Sarah. General manager Gina took the time to give me directions to where we needed to go. Jacob, her assistant was helpful as well.

PM Staff was rude (specifically the front desk clerk. No welcome or anything, kept fumbling on the computer, cursing under her breath , until she finally looked at me and said she was busy trying to log into the computers. which is fine but i was waiting 10 minutes before she even acknowledged me, elevator was not working twice, fire alarm rang in the middle of the night causing panic but no one would let us know what was happening. Room was not clean, mirrors were dirty, bed had hair on it. Pillows were way too old. Decent breakfast and the morning staff was a lot nicer.

The hotel and location were awesome, great hotel for the price. Trendy and perfect location to six flags and La cantera and all the shopping. I will say if you need assistance past 10pm no BODY is there, and the day we checked out 10/18/2025 the receptionist lady was very rude and not nice to anyone, kids and adults. Her rudeness is my only complaint, all other staff was great and I would most definitely stay there again.

The hotel is iin a great area however there was a satff member that was extremely rude and very threatening. Vicious in her treatment of guests.

Hotel was great, very clean. Room was very spacious and its great they have a kitchenette, it comes in handy. The bed was soft also which is hard to find in a hotel room. The parking provided is a pro and at no extra cost. Area is quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is very good. The only con was the room service I had to ask twice to get my room serviced. Other than that hotel and staff were great, I would stay at this hotel again.

Our room had an adjoining door and these doors are not very soundproof. The family next to us were very loud in there conversation and had little children that were crying and a dog! We had to call downstairs because they were up at 11:30p still being disruptive to our peace and quiet. Staff in the morning had a careless attitude and was very unconcerned about our complaint when we shared our unpleasant night experience

People in room next door made a lot of noise screaming and yelling for two days in a row. had to call front desk. Amazon package supposedly dropped at the front desk disappeared. Had to be reordered.

Great staff, clean room, good location, and easy access.

I waited to check, when the staff member arrived I realized that they had been smoking outside. I don’t mind if a person is a smoker…just don’t make me wait around while you do it. Maybe the front desk should have a buzzer or alert for staff who need to smoke outside, that way I just push the button for assistance and the staff member is alerted and returns immediately.

The breakfast was great, staff was friendly, room was comfortable. It’s in a great location that’s close to The Rim, La Cantera & Six Flags.

Stayed at this property for the final four. Originally discouraged bc it was away from the other events in town, but it was a safe, clean, new area. Staff was great. Easy check in and easy check out. Away from the hustle and bustle and only a 18 min drive into town

I travel for work monthly so breakfast is big to me. This hotel is new and clean but needs some more options for breakfast.

Very new, very clean and comfortable. Fire alarm went off twice which was quite annoying, but overall very nice stay with the additional exception of breakfast which was terrible every day we were there. Out of coffee, out of coffee cups, upset guests, food not palatable either.

We have never stayed at a hotel this noisy. We barely slept. The breakfast was also the worst hotel breakfast we've encountered. Absolutely terrible. Staff was great, the hotel was spotless, but man does that not make up for sleep deprivation and bubble gut. Quiet hours? What are those?

The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The hotel lobby had that “new hotel” smell. Which I love! The staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was great. Texas shaped Waffle was fluffy and tasty. They even had tortillas to make your own breakfast tacos. I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast and staff were amazing!! Will be coming back again soon!

Property was clean and in a great location to go to six flags. Disappointed that the breakfast ran out early but other than that it was a nice stay
