Enotel Lido - All Inclusive

Wonderful location. Staff are very nice, we loved the indoor pool and spa. Food is good too

Smakfull, modern och mysig inredning i rummen och hotellet generellt. Mycket hjälpsam personal, lugn och avslappnad stämning. Bra städning. God mat på buffén, goda drinkar. Havsutsikt från alla rummen. Trevligt spa med jacuzzi och olika bastun. Den större poolen var kall så här i november, men den under tak (”inomhus” är inte korrekt, kanske man kan säga halvt inomhus) var uppvärmd och mycket angenäm att bada i. Förståeligt att barnfamiljer också främst valde den varma poolen. Gymmet var bra men lite slitet. I huvudrestaurangen var det lite matsalskänsla. Men man kunde även sitta ute på en stor terrass och äta. Hade inte skadat med lite bordslampor kanske och några krukor/växter, för att få till en mer lummig känsla på den stora ytan. Vi åt en kväll på den asiatiska temarestaurangen, och tyckte inte att det var särskilt god mat. En annan kväll åt vi på restaurangen med Madeira-tema, och det var riktigt gott! Synd var att ljudnivån i temarestaurangerna var alldeles för hög. Vi fick skrika till varandra över bordet. Därför valde vi bort en tredje kväll på temarestaurang. Några ljuddämpande paneler i lokalerna hade kanske kunnat göra skillnad. Gästerna var mestadels äldre par. En hand full barnfamiljer när vi var där. Fanns ingen lekyta ute på hotellområdet, men en Kids Club inne. Såg dock lite ödsligt ut. Jag hade valt ett annat hotell om jag hade rest med barn. Sammanlagt en riktigt bra vecka, och vi kan tänka oss att återvända!

All inclusive which included all food and drinks. Excellent dining options and food was good and plentiful. Lots of amenities including indoor and outdoor pool - spa pool (free) pay for actual services ie massage etc Kids club which is three times a day and allowed us some free time - we had to follow my granddaughter’s schedule 😂

Great hotel, friendly service. FREE Parking! Food got the job done. My kids 11 and 5 enjoyed the kids club. Our family room was HUGE by European standards— we are American. Bath tub and standup shower. Whole place has a cruise ship feel as everyone convenes at either the Piano Bar, Lounge or sports bar after dinner. We wanted a hotel where we could retreat with ease after adventuring during the day. The dining options and cocktails made it feel like our vacation was easy. The hotel consisted of half pensioners, other half mix of families, couples etc. Over all, huge value here. If you are looking for a multigenerational hotel destination, this is perfect.

Bathrooms, gym and spa need updating. Service is amazing and very friendly. Loved it there.

There is a good selection of food at the buffet with pasta cooked fresh, selections of meat and fish. Many of the salads had onions in which isn’t ideal if you don’t eat onions. The Beach bar has food all the time and endless ice cream for the kids. The outdoor pool is very nice and a great temperature. It is a little crowded with the sun loungers. The indoor pool is convenient because it is also outside and close to the bar with plenty of tables and chairs to relax. There is table tennis and table football, however it would have been better to have more than one table as we found that we had to wait a long time to play. The pool and snooker tables were great, although the quality of the cues was not good and there was no chalk. We used the iron and ironing board for 2 hours. We had a family suite and it was very spacious with a small living room as you entered and a nice big terrace. It was easy to get a taxi, we just asked reception to call and they came quickly. There is a Spar within walking distance.

Great dining options very good for gluten free. fabulous service and very, very clean. Great pool and poolside bar cafe. Entertainment was good rooms comfortable with good pillow options. Plenty of English language TV. Only down side was no steam room which was something we missed.

Really nice hotel, well located just outside Funchal. Staff were all lovely and so helpful and friendly. The hotel itself looked pretty new and had loads of space, so getting a sunbed around the pool was never a problem

Very clean hotel in a lovely area. Service is fantastic in all aspects. Food is excellent, staff work hard ,the pool is excellent and very good evening entertainment. You will want for nothing.

The check inn was not good, the Hotel does not have anyone to help to carry the luggage from the entrance to the reception, internet connection is Horrible and slow, the food id really good they have plenty options, cleaning in the property in general is really good, but in the rooms is not has good, looks like they don’t clean all the spaces in the room like the terrace, at lest mine is huge but cover in dust all the time so is not comfortable been bear food outside. I enjoyed my time here with my family, but the resort has many opportunity areas to improve.

Our room was very clean. The buffet and restaurant options were exceptional. The staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Enotel Lido is a 10 floor hotel centrally located 10 to 12 minutes by car from old Funchal. We stayed for 7 nights and were impressed with its housekeeping services, pristine grounds, and exceptional buffet menu. Each night was themed and there was an extensive vegetarian option. Lamb, chicken, duck, veal, shrimp and fish were outstanding. Desserts were incredible!! We plan to return as long as the chef doesn’t leave!! Thank you to all the staff for an unforgettable holiday!! ❤️

food options were great although would have been even better if the alacarte restaurants were open for more days in the week. Only downside was that the rooms weren't always cleaned to a high standard e.g. noticed a bug or two and stains on the sheets.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Service ist top und die Küche ist hervorragend! Wir hatten All inklusive gebucht und wurden den ganzen Tag mit einer hervorragenden Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken versorgt. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt und gut zum Schwimmen geeignet. Die Lage des Hotels an der Strandpromenade ist perfekt.

We found the hotel spa facilities amazing, one of the best i have seen, however the rest of the service/facilities would say they were ok definitely not superb and not for a 5 star hotel. While we were there, it was clear the hotel was short staffed, staff seemed stressed and not very welcoming, from reception to the waiters at the restaurant: the queue for the food in the evening was ridiculously long, could wait 20 minutes for your main, the cleanliness in the main restaurant wasnt as per basic standard, you could see food from the evening before on the floor during breakfast. Activities were not many, aquagym in the morning with the same 80/70 music for the 5 times i went!Kids club was very good, well done to the young team there, although it would have been better to have some activities outside. It was an ok stay, however we were expecting more for an all inclusive 5 star hotel.

Die Terassentür war verbogen und konnte nicht richtig verschlossen werden. Das Essen war sehr eintönig. Unverschämt dand ich dass immer nur ein Themenrestaurant auf hatte und dann 2 oder 3 Tage in dem in Folge das selbe Menue serviert wurde. Damit war man auf das mittelmässige Buffet angewiesen

Great location, we set up multiple tours etc and all companies were able to easily pick us up from the hotel. Also beautiful property/grounds. Rooms are very nice, all with balcony, great views! Bathrooms in the hotel rooms could use a little TLC. Loved the all inclusive option! Buffett at every meal is fantastic!! The 3 themed restaurants are all very good (each open various days of week), though they have set menus (vegan/non vegan choice) and the Italian restaurant has somewhat small portions. Kai restaurant is very good, a great ‘stir-fry’ experience but an odd ‘first come, first serve’ process (for only 50 people, one seating on a few nights per week). People were sitting outside waiting almost an hour before it opened. And then all rush to form a line of sorts when doors are opening; seems like there might be a better way to get a ‘reservation’? There is an activities group that works VERY hard to entertain the guests- the poncha making and sampling was so much fun! The hotel did have super loud music from the pool deck one night until 1130pm which was a bit annoying. We called to ‘inquire’ when this would be turned off (we had a 6am tour pick up the next morning!)-the front desk informed us the music would also be playing like that on Wed night (ugh). But Wed night: no music, so perhaps other guests complained; (there were many families with young kids). Drinks from all bars hit or miss: some great, some ehh. But all staff very polite, provided terrific service!

We were in room 950, next door was an electrical room. Often we were woken at all times through the night with staff smoking and talking. This happened 7 or 8 times through the holiday. It also left a really bad smell of smoke on our balcony. Most of the time we were unable to use our balcony.

A fantastic hotel which managed to balance chic modernity with tradition and comfort, both in communal areas and in the spacious and comfortable rooms. A great selection of bars and restaurants though the buffet alone was more than adequate - delicious food with great variety, and I was pleased to see vegan and gluten free options. Excellent service. Good entertainment but it wasn’t “in your face”, you had to go to the right place rather than be forced to endure anything you didn’t want to. Having tried two other 5 star and two other 4 star hotels in Madeira, we can confidently say this was the best. Overall excellent and only the most minor of suggestions for improvements - soft close toilet lids and a map of the building for guests!

Lovely property! Great location for walking downtown or along the promenade. Free garage parking was a great bonus. We arrived 2 hours early but they let us check in right away. Our room was spotless and very large, I was not expecting such a large room! We had a corner suite, There was a living area along with a separate bedroom and the bathroom had a full shower and soaker tub. And two large balconies! One overlooked the ocean and the other overlooked the pool area. Food was good, a fair amount of choices at all hours. Service was a bit slow for drinks at times but the staff was friendly. My only small complaints are that the pool was very cold, and the bed was a bit too hard, sometimes uncomfortably so. But overall I would not hesitate to recommend hotel lido to any of my friends and family, I hope to be back someday! Also Madeira is GORGEOUS!!

For all inclusive it was just ok. Food not available outside of dining hours. Two specialty restaurants were pretty good but otherwise just ok. No room service. Also rooms were 3 star at best. Shower area so tiny you can hardly wash your hair. Spa areas smelled unclean and hot tub area under construction and not hot at all.

Nous avons passé un bon sejour, la nourriture était bonne et variée, toutes les sorties ont été réservées depuis l'hotel et avec l'assistance de personnes à l'accueil. L'animation était sympa également. Petit bémol : le nettoyage de la chambre était bâclé et le bruit dans les chambre du 4ème malgré le double vitrage. Hôtel que nous recommandons.

I felt snubbed by the staff of the front desk area. The reception was cold and the check-out was even colder. I felt like I was treated harshly perhaps because I was American. There was no warm welcome for me and my family and the check-out was even colder. The guy didn't say a thing nor ask how our stay was. I commend the food staff and waiters. You'll be well taken care of there. They were very hospitable, accommodating, and smiled! Housekeeping was daily and done well. The Portuguese at Enotel Lido do not honor nor exercise hospitality basics. If they're not happy with their job, it shows. Worse, if they don't like you because of where you're from, it shows. I speak specifically about the check-in and check-out desk. Not a single smile when we had to interact with them.

Very friendly and helpful staff all inclusive was a pleasant surprise and included everything! Can’t fault them!

Correu tudo bem. Sentimos apenas falta de simpatia por parte de muitos funcionários, especialmente na hora do checkout onde inclusive a funcionária estava a dizer palavrões e a ser bastante rude, ignorando a presença das crianças.

It was a couple trip and unforgettable. It is a wonderful hotel, comfortable room, clean and with everything we need. All inclusive is really worth it, with a variety of drinks and food for all tastes, lots of vegetarian options. The staff are very friendly and always available to help. It was wonderful to stay at this hotel, the view from the hotel is incredible and we walked to the city of funchal with stunning views. It is really worth paying for the yellow bus that has a bus stop about 200 meters from the hotel. Highly recommend and for the first time we want to repeat a destination and stay in this hotel again!

My kids loved swimming pool, loads activities for kids, me and my wife liked dining options 4 different restaurants and all inclusive. Location very good 5min walk to ocean, loads shops and restaurants around.

Everything was very pleasant. Just one little “minus” : the lack of reservation in the Asia. Restaurant : stressful to be there 30 minutes before to get into it… then everyone is rushing… appart from that a pleasant stay!!

Ótima localização, equipe do hotel prestativos. Uma observação para quem vai pela primeira vez, todos os restaurantes fecham cedo, as 21h30. Depois fica aberto um lugar para snacks, que quando chega as 23h não tem mais nada e quando tem está tudo frio. Mais no geral é um excelente hotel.

Great value for all inclusive. Food gets repetitive, but is of good quality.

Die Zimmer waren sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Buffet ist gut und vielfältig, wiederholt sich aber wöchentlich. Die Sicht vom Infinitypool aufs Meer ist leider durch Bäume behindert. Der Wellnessbereich ist erst ab 16 Jahren erlaubt, warum darf meine 13 jährige Tochter nicht in die Sauna oder den Jacuzzi? :(

Very good sized rooms, staff were mostly helpful and very friendly. Nice swimming pool and sun terrace. However, some of the facilities were tired and in need of being updated. What really spoilt it for us was that it was All Inclusive but the hot food was terrible. In the buffet, we never had an occasion when the food was hot, at very best it was lukewarm. When we first arrived mid-afternoon, we went to the snack bar & the pizzas looked like they had been sitting there for ages, the chips and other food was cold.
