Overall good stay, great location, very walkable and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Great breakfast with a lot of options. The outdoor poor was quite nice, the spa area was a bit outdated. The rooms were quite small and very loud, every time someone on your floor opened or closed a door you would hear about it, so not the best for light sleepers.

Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und auch sehr sauber. Das Hotelpersonal war überaus freundlich und die Servicekräfte im Speisesaal waren sehr zuvorkommend. Die Hotelausstattung hat uns gut gefallen und der Pool war ebenfalls sehr schön. Den einzigen Kritikpunkt, den wir anmerken können, ist die Regelung zur Nutzung der Sauna. Dadurch, dass man diese vorab Reservieren muss, konnten wir sie leider nicht nutzen. Andernfalls hätten wir einen Teil unseres Tagesplans allein auf die Nutzung der Sauna ausrichten müssen. Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und wir können das Hotel zweifelsfrei empfehlen.

We enjoyed our stay with Allegro Madeira. The location is a short walk to a beautiful view of the ocean. There is plenty of parking on-site and nearby. While there, our room was very well organized and clean. I loved the gym and wellness options! And the pool was so relaxing! We enjoyed the terrace on our room a lot! Breakfast at Allegro Madeira was phenomenal - we loved the buffet set up and the grill for omelettes and eggs! The nespresso lattes were also a favorite! The value for price received was great! The rooftop bar for a sunset drink is a must!

1. The breakfast is excellent. 2. The hotel is nice, well mantained and in a good location. 3. It has a nice view, if you are in floor 8 and under you can't see the sunrise, but you can see the sunset which is superb. 4. the room was ok - perhaps adding an airfreshener or something to make the room fresher and smeeling nicer would be great. Beds are alright, and the bedroom is well equipped. The down side: 5. The parking: it said €5 per day in both leaftlet and website and we were charged €8. 6. The turkish bath wasnt working.

Wir haben am Hotel nicht einen Tag einen Parkplatz bekommen. Der Pool ist komisch konstruiert, wer braucht in einem Erwachsenen Hotel einen 1,30m tiefen Pool bzw. einen Kinder Pool. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung soweit, aber für ein 4* Hotel etwas dürftig an Auswahl und Abwechslung, das hat man versucht mit individuellen Omlettes, welche wenigstens frsich gemacht worden sind. Das Abendessen war wenig Regional und es sehr klein an der Auswahl. Es gab jeden Abend ein anderes Thema, welches eher schlecht umgesetzt ist. Amerika=Burger und Burritos, Asiatisch=Sushi und gebratene Nudeln??? Wer braucht sowas in Portugal im Urlaub, vor allem da es definitiv nicht Authentisch. Das erste Zimmer war laut, direkt neben dran ist eine Baustelle, und die Lüftung eines Bistros, war das eine ruhig war das andere laut. Das zweite Zimmer war besser, aber die Baustelle hört man überall, am Pool und in den Zimmern, die schlecht isoliert sind. Das Badezimmer hat ein Wasser Problem, die Fugen schimmlig und das wasser läuft nicht ab. Aber es gab mehrere Kopfkissen und das Bett war bequem. Ist eher ein Stadthotel als eine Ruhige Gegend

Very clean hotel with bus stop to Funchal Central close by. However if you are unfit, I would not recommend as there is a steep slope to the bus stop. Staff all very friendly. Optional dinner on the whole very good. Avoid 9 am for breakfast as it can be rather hectic.

All front desk, restaurant and house keeping staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of cooked dishes, cereal, fruit baked goods etc... Location is good - 10 minutes by bus to Old Funchal.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Nothing special Bathroom not cleaned (hairs left in sink, glass shower tray could have been cleaned to a higher standard. Towels taken away and not replaced. Shower products adequate but not nice to use and appeared cheap quality. No bottles of water given after first day. Noisy ground floor room with patio next to car park. Mattress very ‘sunken’. Reception staff never acknowledged guests coming and going and did not appear professional laughing and joking noisily amongst themselves. Hotel was disappointing and I was expecting much more. I would not return as there are much better hotels for the money

Die Unterkunft hat uns gut gefallen! Die Lage ist gut, zentral mit vielen Restaurants außen rum. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker mit frisch zubereiteten Speisen. Unser Zimmer war wirklich sehr groß mit Blick auf das Meer und den Pool. Das Hotel ist gut schallisoliert, sodass man wirklich sehr gut geschlafen hat. Auch das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Das Abendessen haben wir nicht getestet, aber die Tage bei leckeren und preislich angemessenen Cocktails auf der Dachterasse bei Live Musik ausklingen lassen.

The cleanliness was astonishing. The floors were always kept impeccable. The shower, the room, and the towels and bedding were kept clean without too much damage to the environment. The only thing we missed was a rack to dry towels and bathing suits.

Can’t fault this hotel from the easy check in till checking out. Staff were all superb from reception staff, cleaning, catering and bar staff. Every member we chatted to were very professional and polite and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, modern and had everything we needed during our stay. Room was cleaned when requested and I have to say the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on and pillows were top quality. I usually struggle to sleep whilst on holiday but every night I slept comfortably. The air con was great as well. In the room were various sized bath towels but also a pool towel which was an added bonus. Tea and coffee making facilities and also a hairdryer and a steam hand iron which we used plenty during our stay. We were on the 9th floor with a beautiful panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and the City. We used both the poolside bar and rooftop bar numerous times during our stay and service was exceptional and plenty of drinks to choose from. The view and setting from the sky is something else. We enjoyed a nightcap (cocktail each evening before bed) During our stay there was live music on a couple of occasions which was well recieved. The hotel is situated amongst many restaurants and bars and close to Lido pools and seafront. We walked into the centre/marina area of Funchal on a couple of times which took around 25-35 minutes however there are bus stops right outside the hotel. Use Bolt app to order taxis.

Das Hotel alles in allem Super. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zu vorkommend. Das Essens-Buffet war abwechslungsreich und jedes mal aufs neue ein Genuss. Das einzige was mich ein wenig enttäuscht hatte war, dass wir extra ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht hatten, aber jedoch von unserem Zimmer hauptsächlich auf eine große Baustelle und die Stadt gesehen hatten. Erst irgendwo hinter dem Gebäudejungle und auch nur wenn man auf den Balkon hinaus ging konnte man das Meer dann sehen.

A nice hotel. The rooms are comfortable and adequate but there are only 2 small drawers in which to store your clothes. Also there is not really a closet to hang your clothes - only an open railing. Breakfast buffet was generally good although the orange 'juice' is orange flavoured water and the coffee at all machines is very weak.

The hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. Each evening there was a different themed dinner menu, which made every meal unique and enjoyable. Breakfast offered a good variety of options to choose from. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay!

We had a fantastic stay! The staff were super friendly, attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious and spotless, with views over the sea - beautiful! The hotel is located near lots of great restaurants and has a bus stop nearby to easily get around Funchal. The car park is fairly small but we had no issues finding a space for three nights. We'd definitely recommend the hotel.

Personell was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good, but it would be nice to have allergen information on the name tags off the food. I had a room with double sea view, but there was a hotel being build, so I couldn't see the ocean from my balcony/room unless I looked around the corner. There were airconditioning ventilators outside my room on a roof. That was a lot of noise.

Great location, super nice staff, comfortable rooms and good varied buffet breakfast only down side was that the room with ocean view did not have much of a view at all. It was in a lateral at the back and you could only see a little patch in the distance. Not what I was expecting when I booked room with an ocean view.

Location was top. At the reception staff was not that great,seemed uninterested by their work.Only that one person.They actually sent us a questionnaire to see how things were going, I mentioned it and they sent us free cookies and this person s attitude changed completely afterwards.

The hotel is ideally situated with some great views from the rooftop bar. It has a contemporary feel and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in comfortable walking distance. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I'd like to make a special mention to both Andre and Bruno, who were great conversation from behind the bar. If I come back to Madeira, this will be my first choice.

Hotel was nice and clean but the service was atroucious. We were having our honeymoon trip to Madeira to celebrate the new years eve and watch the famous fireworks. The hotel provides guests with a rooftop that has quite spectacular view of Funchal and the fireworks. Appareny access to the rooftop on new years eve is limited to only guests that purchased their dinner. Staff failed to inform us about this policy and we ended up missing out. Yet the worst was the way staff handled the cab reservation. Not only they they made the original reservation that was inadequate considering traffic that night, the delay had mounted to 20 minutes and we were lucky to simply catch a cab on the street and make it to Airport at the last minute. There were multitude of other considetably smaller blunders during our stay. Overall, the main impression is that Staff has not the slightest idea of customer service. They are as much polite and nice to the guests as they are inept and slow. Suggestion to guests is to study their policies ahead of time and never to rely on their front desk for things that are time sensitive. Otherwise, location was terrific and the ocean view was excellent.

Excellent hotel, great breakfast, nice outside area, great rooftop bar and the most caring hotel manager i have experienced in my whole life. I got an allergy reaction due to sun and i got personal calls, emails and a goodbye note to check during my whole stay if i was comfortabe and if there was anything the hotel could assist me with. Would highly recommend and return again!

Room and hotel in general was very clean, breakfast was good and plentiful but could be excellent with the addition of ‘back bacon’. Staff were great with a special mention for Andre who looked after us on the excellent rooftop bar, serving great cocktails.

Kitchen manager was rude one night we arrived at 932 pm from a tour to ask if we could have some food. ( they stopped serving at 930 but it was a buffet). He was extremely rude and quickly ushered us out of the dining area.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Nothing special Bathroom not cleaned (hairs left in sink, glass shower tray could have been cleaned to a higher standard. Towels taken away and not replaced. Shower products adequate but not nice to use and appeared cheap quality. No bottles of water given after first day. Noisy ground floor room with patio next to car park. Mattress very ‘sunken’. Reception staff never acknowledged guests coming and going and did not appear professional laughing and joking noisily amongst themselves. Hotel was disappointing and I was expecting much more. I would not return as there are much better hotels for the money

Very clean hotel with bus stop to Funchal Central close by. However if you are unfit, I would not recommend as there is a steep slope to the bus stop. Staff all very friendly. Optional dinner on the whole very good. Avoid 9 am for breakfast as it can be rather hectic.

Closed to the beach and a lot of stores. We took bus 1, 2 and 4 to the center Funchal (€2). The bus stop is close by and also took the aerobus to and from the airport. Only €6 per person, which is way cheaper than a taxi fee. Breakfast was very nice. They have a omelette station, fruits, bread and hot food selection.

Lovely lovely stay! Great location with lots of great restaurants around! Staff were all friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was full of variety and even some fizz included. Really nice touches like sweets in the lobby and places to refill water bottle. Gym and sauna area also great and could make a tea in there after along with the rooftop bar to watch the sunset. Staff around cleaning all day - well maintained. Would stay again and recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, located in a peaceful area that's just a short walk from the oceanfront and not far from the town center. There are plenty of great restaurants, bars, and cafés nearby. The breakfast selection was impressive, and the rooftop bar offered amazing views, along with expertly crafted drinks from the talented bartenders. The service was top-notch, with the front desk team being exceptionally friendly, especially Luis who gave us a warm welcome at check-in. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms, good Wi-Fi, and an excellent breakfast. The location was also very convenient. The only small issue was that the curtains were difficult to close properly if you’re a shorter person. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
