We booked online and requested parking onsite only to be told when we got to the hotel it was first in first served and there was no parking. The closest parking was 2 blocks away and they forgot to mention when told where the parking was that there was only 6 spaces! Not happy. The rooms themselves are pretty good for the price. The location is average in my opinion, if you have a meeting near by it's good but if your more interested in the CBD it's quite inconvenient by car, the parking is very very expensive, $45 per night is the highest I've paid in any hotel in Victoria and in my opinion it's excessive. Unfortunately while I was there they were doing maintenance, so at 8am every morning the floor would shake the noise was so bad, it calmed down at around 11am. Overall not a bad hotel, just not really in my top 10 in the Melbourne CBD area. For the same price you can score a hotel in the CBD itself with full room service and a better location plus better parking.

We booked online and asked for a double bed but we were allocated a room with two beds. Rang reception and they changed our room straight away. Lovely view of St Kilda Road but so noisy especially with the trams! We were also charged for parking which we weren't expecting. $25 per night but the car was safe and under cover.

I am a returning guest to Oaks Melbourne St Kilda Road. The lady on reception was welcoming and efficient. The room itself was spacious, spotless and quiet. My stay was an overnight stay only but I will happily return again. Thank you.

Stove top would’ve been nice with pots and pans so couldn’t cook anything during my time there as I didn’t think I needed to bring my own. Room looked clean until I found Women’s underwear, looked like it had been there for a while. Also found a sock in the room which wasn’t ours. One of the staff members were also rude and didn’t give me much help at all. It also would’ve been lovely to be notified about the construction going on as it was noisy in the mornings.

The room was very clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. However the room was small and the wardrobe and shower recess were both extremely small to the extent that I could not hang long trousers and it was uncomfortable to shower. I expect better paying $335+ per night.

Friendly reception, clean and comfortable. The only thing I was unhappy about was to find the bedsheets underneath were soiled, and looked like it hadn’t been changed. The reception apologised and with a bit of patience, housekeeping came and changed all the sheets. Apart from that, I had a pleasant stay.

I really liked having a balcony and access to fresh air, which is so rare in large hotels. It made for a much better night's sleep. The blackout curtains were excellent too. You wouldn't know the hotel is on a major road.

This is a very good hotel. It's near a tram stop and shops and roughly halfway between St Kilda and Melbourne city centre (it's on a main road, though I wasn't disturbed by noise). The room was clean, spacious and well stocked if wanting to cook something simple. The bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was pretty good and decent value for money. Staff were very helpful. I enjoyed my stay here and would return again.

Room was comfortable but dark Natural light was limited as window faced concrete wall of building next door. Dark Curtains didn't help. But facilities in room were good. Bed very comfortable. Parking good. Staff very friendly Restaraunt understaffed when I was there. Good took 40 mins to arrive. Poor guy did exceptional work to keep us informed and food served.

I really enjoyed my two night stay here. It's close to public transport, and not far into the CBD and arts precinct. The room was beautifully appointed, with a large comfortable king-sized bed. I had a wonderful sleep both nights. The convenience of a stove top, microwave, fridge, and even dishwasher drawer and coffee machine made my stay easy. I saved on eating out by preparing some basic meals in the room. The room was spacious, with a desk, lounge chair, and table and chairs. The view out to St Kilda Road was lovely. I did hear a little traffic, but once I was asleep I wasn't disturbed. My neighbours on the first night had been partying at the Melbourne Cup and were noisy and smoked on the adjoining balcony, but that wasn't the fault of the Hotel. When I reported it to the reception they were very helpful. Staff were friendly and efficient. And it was nice to be able to order room service on the second night when I felt like a bowl of chips. The chips were delish. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Quite spacious and good value for money. I found the room very quiet, even though I was right next to the lift well. The overhead light in the bedroom was broken/missing and probably had been for some time. With only lamps and no windows, the room was very dark and cave like. Good for sleeping, but not for packing/unpacking. I found an item of underwear in the wardrobe left by a previous guest.

I stayed at Oaks Melbourne St Kilda Road Hotel on 2–3 October and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the way the hotel handled my lost property. I accidentally left behind a brand new, sealed $80 bottle of Lira face wash in my room. When I called the same evening, the receptionist informed me that housekeeping had already thrown it out, claiming it was “hotel policy” due to contamination risk. This explanation is absurd – it was a sealed pump bottle, impossible to contaminate. Instead of assisting me, the receptionist was dismissive and provided no real help or alternatives. For a hotel of this standard, I expected professionalism and some effort to resolve the matter, not a flat refusal. The careless disposal of a valuable, sealed personal item and the poor treatment I received from the front desk left me deeply dissatisfied. Guests deserve better respect and service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property after such a disappointing experience.

The staff here were beyond helpful, they organised early check in for me at no extra cost, I had a few hiccups with my room and they resolved the issue and upgraded me immediately at no extra cost--not something I was expecting, but so appreciated. I can't recommend them enough, purely on how lovely and accomodating the reception was. Will definitely be staying here again.

Property was booked for its location and met expectations. Book in was from 2pm, we arrived at 2.05 BUT our room was not ready. We had a person with a disability with us but were left standing in the foyer for 45 minutes. There was nowhere to sit while waiting, and nowhere was offered. Reception staff were friendly and apologetic, bit the situation was unacceptable.

Terrible experience trying to park at this hotel despite being assured multiple times prior to booking and arriving that parking wouldn’t be an issue. Turns out it was a significant hassle and I had to find a public carpark for the first day and a half - the staff weren’t very helpful and I was told a different thing by every staff member I spoke to which was very frustrating.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The staff were lovely and the room was decorated with Jazz-themed memorabilia. It was a simple room but I loved my night here and I would definitely stay again. It isn't the most convenient location however and it's a good 10 min walk to shops and food, although the tram is right outside and 6 different trams operate this route towards the city. You're also not too far from St Kilda and the beaches.

Perfect location, a short walk to the tram stop. A short tram ride into the cbd. Close to Albert Park. Beautiful rooms. Wish we had a longer stay to enjoy the rooms more. Interconnecting rooms perfect for family stays Only downside is the lack of a pool.

Great hotel, it was conveniently located across from where we needed to be the us consulate. We will definitely be staying their again when we go to that part of Melbourne again. Check in was smooth and the lady at the front desk was lovely. It was late when we arrived so we ordered uber eats no issues. Gym was great. We also were able to check out at 11am wich was great because we were not sure how long the visa interview would go for.

The first room we had the TV was cracked and didn’t work. We were placed into another room 24 hours later which was good service. The general condition of the rooms were run down. Cracks in the exposed concrete ceilings. Hardly any cooking utensils / cutlery. Telephones didn’t work. The bar and restaurant was very good. Food good. Prices good. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

Asked for more coffee told we had to pay for it. Never experienced that before. Breakfast was average on all 4 breakfasts was cold every time. Staff in the restaurant seemed like they didn’t want to be there. At the end of our stay they never asked how was your stay. Wouldn’t stay there again.
