Hyggeligt hotel 100 meter fra DomkirkenHyggeligt og lige midt i Old Town. 500 meter fra bussen til lufthavn så kan varmt anbefales. En fantastisk restaurant på 5. Sal. Den skal absolut prøves.

The room was charming and very affordable during the peak tourist season. I had a lovely dinner at the rooftop restaurant (the salmon was excellent—the views were just as good!) Upon check-in, I advised the front desk that I needed to check out early due to a flight. Since I was missing the breakfast buffet, the hotel staff arranged that a sack breakfast be prepared for myself and my daughter. That was an unexpected and most welcome surprise. I’d stay here over and over.

The ambience is from a time gone by, a time when charm & grace were highly valued. A delightful change from chrome. I would live to come back when I could stay longer. I do have one thought. I originally chose here because of the elevator; I have heavy luggage because I will be working in Europe for quite awhile. Unfortunately a person must lug their luggage up 12 steps to get to the elevator.

This is a wonderful, beautiful, historic building. As a result. It is old even though updated. My room was beautiful, but the floor was very crooked! Getting to my bed was like walking up a hill. Also, there was not an elevator, so be prepared to go up some stairs (help with my luggage was offered!). Even so, i loved the vibe and the hotel was great!

The room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. There was a great choice at breakfast and the rooftop restaurant was cosy, with great views, excellent staff and great food and wine.

I stayed four nights. Had dinner one night in the rooftop restaurant. The hotel was very affordable. While there is an elevator, there are about 8 steps to reception and also down to the breakfast room. So I would not call this property accessible. I made a rookie mistake and gave the front desk a bag of laundry - maybe half a load in a US washer. $80! I found this to be outrageous. My fault for not checking. Lev at the front desk is very nice and helpful. I was still recovering from laundry sticker shock and forgot to tip him as I left. The cathedral is right by the hotel which is why I selected it. Lots of restaurants about but not many shops. There is a rimi express mini mart close by

Fantastisk hotel. Meget service-mindede receptionister. Skævt, ældre hotel på den hyggelige måde. Super restaurant på tagterrasse med flot udsigt over byen. Stor og varieret morgenmadsbuffet.

The location is excellent, directly in the old town area. It’s close to everything on foot or by tram. The hotel room was ok. It was spacious and clean. Two issues I found: the mattress dipped in the middle and it smelled dusty, which aggravated my allergies. The rooftop restaurant had great views, excellent service and delicious food.

The hotel was charming and rich in Latvian history. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, assisting me with several requests, always with a smile, and truly going the extra mile. The hotel was spotless, and the location was absolutely brilliant.

Overall nice hotel with good breakfast. Our room was a bit special. Bathroom smelled really bad/mold.

This is a beautiful hotel right in the center of Old Riga (the Cathedral, which marks the effective center of the city, is next door). Great value for money. All of the key historical sites are within walking distance. The room was clean and had a unique style. The view from the rooftop restaurant is great. The breakfast is great. I have no complaints.

La experiencia ha sido buena. La ubicación es perfecta y la decoración antigua es un gran acierto pero debería mejorar la limpieza en general de las habitaciones y que intentarán hacer mejor las camas. Valoro el que pongan botellas para rellenar con agua fría y tener té o café disponibles en las habitaciones. En cuanto al desayuno buffet nuestra familia española ha echado en falta más variedad de dulces horneados (galletas, bizcochos).

Utmärkt boende, nära till allt inom gamla stan, god frukost och mycket trevlig personal. Städningen av rummen var väldigt bra och det var rent och snyggt överallt på hotellet. Tak terassen / restuarangen är något man bara måste testa. På det hela så var det ett perfekt litet hotell i vår smak, tack för oss!

Excellent service! Room was super tidy and the breakfast provided was very good!

The service was extremely nice. The young man at the front desk was intimidating with his kindness and willingness to help. The food at breakfast was very good and varied, there were some queues for the coffee machine but I had time. Although the rooms were cleaned every day, our room must have been unused for a long time because there was a layer of dust everywhere. However, the Art Nouveau interior design compensated for this slight inconvenience. The location in the very center of old Riga was also a great convenience. I recommend it to everyone who can turn a blind eye to dust. M

Ett härligt hotell som ligger centralt. Nära till allt men ända lite borta så du inte behöver lyssna på nattlivet. Sköna sängar. Det sluttande golvet och grova takbjälkarna gör att du känner historia i byggnaden. Häftigt. Fantastisk personal. Ok frukost. Bra resturang på taket(väldigt flott). Dammningen på rummen har de dock glömt bort. För övrigt rent och fräscht.

The sloping floors are all part of the historic building experience, though some guests might find this character trait more challenging than charming. My room had a comfortable bed, which was much appreciated. However, there were several maintenance issues: the showerhead was hanging loose, and two of the soap dispensers were empty. Sound insulation between rooms is poor, so light sleepers should be prepared to hear their neighbors' conversations and movements. A word of caution about security: the hotel uses an old-fashioned key system with a self-service setup during night hours. All room keys hang openly accessible, which seems like a significant security vulnerability that could allow people with dishonest intentions easy access to guest rooms. The breakfast, which surprisingly wasn't included in the booking price (this wasn't clearly communicated when reserving through Hotels.com), costs around €12. Frankly, it's not worth the money. The buffet is quite sparse and definitely not for discerning eaters, though it's adequate if you just need somethin

Great location and very friendly staff. The hotel is in an old building, hence if you are for a taste of old times, a little akward layouts, sometimes slightly slanted or screeching floors you wont be disappointed. BTW it was my second time staying there.

The room itself was charming, I liked it a lot. There was no AC, but it was cool enough w the window open. WiFi was not the best in the room itself, but it sufficed. The bathroom smelled horribly like mildew, and the towels were super thin. Otherwise, I would say it was a good stay.

Beware when booking! Two sections to hotel the “Old section” and the Classic part. We were in room 309, we were told this is the old section. Floor is on a 5 to 10 degree slope. You sleep on an angle! Very little light including only a small window for natural light and fresh air. Weak internet in the room. The ended up putting a Modem in our room. No air-conditioning No frig Safe not bolted down.

Trevlig personal och bra frukostbuffé. Mycket bra läge centralt i Gamla stan. Väldigt mjuk säng. Lyhört mellan rummen. Badrummet saknade golvbrunn vilket gjorde att det blev väldigt blött efter dusch.

A giant wooden wheel in the middle of the room (see pictures) a VERY tiny bathroom with nothing else but a shower cabin, sink and a toilet. 2 people could only fit if one was in the shower. Many places in the room you could not stand up right (I am 185cm). The breakfast was ok. The location is perfect in the Old town. Only minus is the nightclub on the street corner that plays just as loud music outside as inside at night. Especially if you have a room facing the street (as we did 🙈).

Not quiet- there's activity until 1 am every night. It would have been nice to know that the floors are not level but slope down in this old building. The left side of my bed was 5-10 degrees higher than the right. I would slide down if i wasn't situated correctly.

Our stay at this property was really enjoyable. The concierge was 24/7 (I believe this is a summer thing and it is 8am-10pm otherwise - still quite good) and it was extremely convenient to come and go. Breakfast service from 8am-11am had a great selection, and being open for 3 hours gave us a ton of flexibility. We really liked this location right off one of the big squares, but a couple blocks over from the main tourist action (so much quieter than that side I imagine). Turning away from the square provided a quick shortcut to the riverside that made getting to public transportation super easy. Levs at the concierge was amazing. His personal touch was great - he knew who we were, greeted us every time we came, had lots of good stories about things going on locally, and just made us feel very welcome. There is a reason half these reviews mention him!

The receptionist was just wonderful! Helpful, friendly, informative, everything you can imagine. He really was the soul of the hotel. The room was interesting , bed was good. The breakfast was tasty , and the young girls really took good care. This experience made us want to come back!

Just want to say that I have never before (have stayed at 500+ hotels) experienced a more service minded and welcoming receptionist. It was a true please and a sort of highlight of the stay. Hotel was genuine with nice and clean rooms. Breakfast had everything you can ask for.

Lovely hotel with fabulous service. The receptionist was particularly service-focussed. High ceilings made the room feel very spacious and triple glazing cut out the noise 100%. Great location in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety.

A fantastic traditional hotel in the perfect location.

Skønt hotel perfekt beliggende i forhold til gåafstand til mange ting. Charmerende indretning og rigtig hyggeligt. Ingen nattestøj eller klokkeklang fra domkirken, der ligger lige ved siden af.

Veldig koselig hotell, svært sentralt i en liten sidegate i gamlebyen, 100 meter fra den store Domen som mange gode konserter. Gåavstand til omtrent alt, nesten ingen biltrafikk i strøket, så stille og rolig

Das Rooftop Restaurant ist zu empfehlen. Wenn man nach 9:30 das Frühstück bezieht, dann sind die spezials wie Fisch und das dunkle Brot nicht mehr verfügbar! Allgemeiner Zustand des Hotels ist nicht 4 Stern würdig. Die Lage wiederum ist perfekt.

Generally all okay good location, friendly staff but few things were annoying: bed little uncomfy, breakfast scramble eggs and bacon were cold, and room was quite cold.

Very good hotel. Location very good. Service excellent. The breakfast was tasty but could have been a little more extensive . Don’t miss to have a dinner on the 5th floor (reserve table in advance ).
