Very central in the city and easy walking to major attractions. Room is spacious with rich decorative details. The hot drying rack in the bathroom is super convenient if you want to dry your swimming suits. The spa facility is a real plus to the stay for families who want to relax. Bedienung der Lichtschalter unklar. Keine Wandhaken für Mantel am Eingang (muss nass auf Kleiderbügel im Schrank). Wenig Licht am kleinen Schreibtisch und im WC. Schwacher Wasserstrahl in Dusche. Stromzufuhr im Safe funktioniert nicht. Umständliche Programmführung im TV-Hotelkanal. Schwache Unterwassermassagedüsen im engen Spa. Concierge weiss nicht wo Busse 103 und 106 abfahren, schaut online nach und gibt falsche Information.

Wonderful overall experience. The lobby is delightfully appointed with a solid bar. Nice wine list and cocktails. The rooms have a fantastic bathroom and comfortable bed. The only difficulty was getting the room to cool off at night. The thermostat only goes to 20C and there is no fan for air flow. So at winter they are keeping everyone toasty but a bit too much for my liking at night making it difficult to sleep.

Indeed a five star hotel! Renovated in2011. Still looks brand new! Pro: everything is perfect in this hotel except the check in time. Location is amazing. Right next to train station. Very convenient to go anywhere and it is in the center of everything! Clean: hotel is amazingly clean. And most impressive is they clean the room twice per day—maybe I should not complain about check in time. Spa: complementary for guests. Sauna and steam and very relaxing pool. Quiet: the room we have is facing walls. No view. But unbelievably quiet! We can’t hear anything not even neighbors open doors. AC has no sound at all. It is next to train station but can’t hear any train sound. Con: check in time was delayed for me. That is why I deducted one star. We were very tired after a long flight but could not check in at 2pm. So we waited until the normal check in time 3pm but still couldn’t check in due to not ready. When we stayed in a 5 star hotel in Spain last October, we checked in at 11 am upon arrival! Btw we checked out at 9:00 am to give hotel ample time to clean and make it ready for next guest. I think hotel should award guests who checked out early!

Very clean. Close to train station. Friendly and professional staff. No complaints. Just something is missing as a 5 star hotel and can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe the interior design in the rooms needs a makeover. It looks slightly dated. Also we didn’t have a hairdryer in our room.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Relativ kleines Zimmer für 5*. Wenig Stauraum. Gutes Bett. Schlechte Lüftung, Fenster zum Bahnhof kann nur einen Spalt geöffnet werden, was dann zu lärmig war. Badezimmer ist gross, tolle Regendusche, aber viel zu wenig Platz am Waschbecken. Seltsame Gerüche aus der Toilette. Das haben wir beim auschecken an der Rezeption gemeldet, worauf die sehr nette Dame meinte, sie würden das sofort kontrollieren. Frühstück war sehr gut, nur à la carte, mit einem der besten Birchermüslis, das wir je gegessen haben. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ist dieses Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Staff was extremely helpful, accommodating and kind. The rain showers were amazing. Wish there was a way to make the room colder but I guess that’s just Europe. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Bern. Right next to the main bus stop and train station. Highly recommend

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the hotel staff are lovely and professional. This hotel does not have air conditioning. “Controlled indoor climate system” does not equal air conditioning. I’m sure for most of the year, this is all that is needed but for our stay in July, it was not sufficient. The rooms were hot. We opened our windows at night but it was still hot and it is noisy since the hotel is near the train station. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay that is not during the heat of summer.

Very nice property and staff. Roof deck is also very nice. A little disappointed there was no iron in the room nor air conditioning. Don't really need AC but the hotel is located across from the main square / train station and the noise from the street was very loud with the window open.

I would definitely stay here again. Room is very nice and spacious. View out of the window was great. Breakfast was very expensive but it was good and had a wide selection of food. Once you get up the escalator from the train station, the hotel is right there which was nice since it was raining the day we arrived.

Very nice hotel and sweet staff except they didn’t give us the upgraded room we paid for through Expedia and were sold out of what we reserved but yet they charged us because we prepaid for the room. Also found out after we got there the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning in the rooms and it was very hot and stuffy and hard to sleep. Room had a lot of road noise from the traffic outside as well and not very soundproof. They also didn’t give us credit for the taxes we prepaid for through Expedia. Room service was mediocre in forgetting to daily update body soaps, shampoos and coffee bar with teas and sugar. For the price this hotel charges it’s missing what you pay for but staff is very polite.

Hotel is good , good location as far as walking distance to old town etc . But it is located in busy street , and there were homeless nearby . Unfortunately during check in , we didn’t get a room we booked , which is suit with kitchen and lunch table for 4 , they put us in junior suit , same size , but rate down and no kitchen. That was a surprise…..But anyway …

I would definitely stay here again. Room is very nice and spacious. View out of the window was great. Breakfast was very expensive but it was good and had a wide selection of food. Once you get up the escalator from the train station, the hotel is right there which was nice since it was raining the day we arrived.
