I had a great three night stay. Very comfortable hotel in good location off Main Street and near train station. Has many amenities such as good breakfast, steam and sauna, and restaurant and bar just off lobby. I misplaced ID and credit card (thought they were lost) but housekeeping found and called me day I was leaving. Highly recommed.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Zermatt! Literally a 500 foot walk from the train station to hotel, and that same distance to basically everything else in the town. Free breakfast buffet which was very very good, and tea happy hours every night. Room was very clean, private balcony, very nicely unfitted rooms. Highly recommended!

It’s a great hotel, just off the Main Street so nice and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were really hot every night and no air conditioning. The breakfast was cold everyday we stayed, if it had hot plates they were not working. Varied choice available. Lift wasn’t working and we was on the 4th floor which wasn’t ideal. I would stay again.

The staff was extremely helpful. They gave great suggestions for our very brief visit. The only thing that was less than we wanted was the laundry facility which was very small and didn't dry fast enough. But the staff again was very accommodating to our needs, so this really isn't a complaint. It's just a comment.

The Butterfly is a great place to stay. Conveniently located to the Zermatt Train station and the Gornergrate Railway as well. The staff are very attentive and informative about things to do in Zermatt. The Lounge is a fun place to hang out with live music which was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend this property if you are heading to Zermatt.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. It’s conveniently located to the rail station and also had shuttle service if needed. The room was spacious and we had a great view. They had a nice afternoon coffee/tea time and a breakfast. Conveniently located to the dining and shopping area. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I lived in sixth floor but the elevator only reached to fifth floor. We had to move our luggage via the staircase. The main door was extremely difficult to close from the outside. The room was clean but the space was not enough. Also, the room was a little cold and no a/c control even though we closed all the windows. The major issue was the wifi connection. The connection was very poor and unstable. The staff of the breakfast service was very great. The front desk staff was good. The location of the hotel is very great.

I was so pleased to find an immaculately maintained property with the friendliest front staff you’ll ever find! Our room was comfortable and white-glove clean. The breakfast included in the room price was generous with much variety. Finally, the hotel was mere steps from Zermatt’s main thoroughfare. You cannot go wrong reserving accommodations here!

Lovely hotel right at the beginning of Zermat main avenue. Near the train station and walkable to all restaurants and stores. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are vey spacious and clean with a spectacular view of the alps. Will definitely stay there agin.

The bath tub was too narrow and as we were given the fifth floor with the wooden blocks on the ceiling, there were times we got knocks on the head using toilet and had to be mindful near bedside too. Otherwise it is nice. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The Greek staff in the restaurant has also very good attitude.

Fantastic stay! If you are ever looking for somewhere to stay in Zermatt then this is the place! Very accessible but quiet, wonderful facilities including tea time every day and a great breakfast! We were on the 6th floor and we even had a view of the Matterhorn! Highly recommend!!

Really great stay for 3 nights. Downfall - a gentleman working the restaurant was generally rude, but worse; he had a cold and would wipe his nose with his hands then go to clean tables and handle cutlery. We witnessed this 2 mornings in a row and was disgusted my this employee.

We took an overnight trip from Zurich to Zermatt, so we prioritized proximity to the train station. The Butterfly turned out to be much more than just convenient to the train station and the main commercial area. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The included breakfast was fresh and offered a lot of options. Most importantly, the service was the best we received anywhere over the course of a full week in Switzerland. The front desk was always well-staffed, and the front desk team was friendly and professional. They offered recommendations to fill our time in Zermatt that proved to be perfect. This was an excellent experience in a 3* hotel. Staff in every department from inital check in until leaving and everything in between was superb. Breakfast had a great variety of foods and the welcoming cake and coffee etc, was a lovely gesture. Thank you all. I will certainly be reccomehding the Butterfly 🦋 ❤️

The Butterfly Hotel is a three-minute walk from the train station, which is what initially attracted me. I was so pleased to find an immaculately maintained property with the friendliest front staff you’ll ever find! Our room was comfortable and white-glove clean. The breakfast included in the room price was generous with much variety. Finally, the hotel was mere steps from Zermatt’s main thoroughfare. You cannot go wrong reserving accommodations here!

Lovely hotel right at the beginning of Zermat main avenue. Near the train station and walkable to all restaurants and stores. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are vey spacious and clean with a spectacular view of the alps. Will definitely stay there agin.

The Butterfly is a great place to stay. Conveniently located to the Zermatt Train station and the Gornergrate Railway as well. The staff are very attentive and informative about things to do in Zermatt. The Lounge is a fun place to hang out with live music which was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend this property if you are heading to Zermatt.

Hotel Butterfly is very close to the main station and from the main street and yet slightly away from the noise. The room was nice with an amazing balcony. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. They have tea time as well. The dining room is just perfect and cozy for a mountain resort. We went off-season, in October. many other hotels, shops, and restaurants were closed but I still loved it. Half the town was open.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. It’s conveniently located to the rail station and also had shuttle service if needed. The room was spacious and we had a great view. They had a nice afternoon coffee/tea time and a breakfast. Conveniently located to the dining and shopping area. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Best place in Zermatt !! Very close to train station, excellent breakfast. Reasonable price. But in order to see Mt. Matternhorn, you need to walk down for several minutes from hotel.

Stayed there 2 nights. We wanted to eat dinner in the hotel the first night since we were tired. They said they had closed early due to lack of business. If a hotel posts dining room hours they need to keep them. They suggested we try the next night since they figured they wouldn be busier. We did but then they said we shoud have made reservations and sent us off. Both nights we went to Alex's across the road and the food and service was excellent.

This hotel was close to the train station and walkable to many shops and restaurants. One of the staff was super helpful but once we called down to ask a question and we were rushed off the phone and hung up on after asking the restaurant at the hotel. Breakfast offered an assortment of choices. One morning we ate breakfast later about 1hour before it closed, the hot food was like warm and the butter machine ran out of butter. The next morning we arrived early for breakfast and everything was hot and available. Beautiful view from our room and a very nice patio. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was updated.

We stayed for 4 nights and it was great! The perfect location, just a short walk from the train station. The room was very nice and we had a little patio to sit outside our room with a mtn. view. Breakfast was excellent! Easy access to our skis & boots. I would definitely stay here again!

Have been coming to Hotel Butterfly for many summers as a base to hike the mountains and enjoy Zermatt.
