Very charming and cozy hotel. Beautiful views of Zermatt and the mountains. Within walking distance to the Main Street. Hotel service overall was amazing and they will pick you up from train station in their shuttle. Their breakfast is very good and we also had a fantastic dinner in the hotel restaurant which has many delicious options.

A true rarity—Hotel Jägerhof is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed in. From the second we stepped inside, we knew we had booked the right place. The hotel offers so many thoughtful touches: a delicious buffet breakfast, complimentary transport to and from the train station, and warm, friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the start. Our room was on the first floor and had lovely mountain views (not the Matterhorn, but still stunning). The balcony was shared, but it never felt intrusive thanks to a partial privacy shield, and it was the perfect spot to enjoy the scenery. What made the location extra special was its setting just off the busier streets of Zermatt. This turned out to be a huge advantage—everything was still walkable, but it was a little quieter. During our stay there was a meteor shower, and because it was slightly darker than the town center, we had the incredible experience of watching meteors streak across the mountains from right outside our hotel. Truly unforgettable. The bathroom was spacious, with the added luxury of a towel heater. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained—not outdated at all—and carries a charming ski lodge character. There’s also an outdoor patio seating area if you want more space than your balcony offers. Overall, Hotel Jägerhof combines comfort, charm, and location in a way that feels exceptional. We can’t recommend it enough and would return in a heartbeat.

The hotel has amazing views of the Matterhorn and is very conveniently situated to do the Gornergrat experience and also for beautiful hikes! There is a lovely garden here, which we enjoyed every day. The staff were outstanding and the breakfast buffet and dinners there were absolutely delicious!!

Excellent staff and facilities. Rooms are basic but have great views and are very clean. Ski room was a plus, along with good breakfast and friendly staff. All ski lifts were walkable as well.

The hotel is a short walk from the train station, they also offer a service to pick you up and bring your bags to the hotel. The staff were great and it has a nice bar and restaurant. We chose the breakfast option and were very happy we did, it was very good. We had a nice time the night before enjoying some drinks by the fire.

Jaegerhof is a fantastic little hotel with friendly staff.The room was very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and a nice duvet. The complementary breakfast was simply amazing (loved the Bircher muesli) and the shuttle to and from the train station was much appreciated. If you are planning a stay in Zermatt give this wonderful family hotel a try.

The hotel was clean and the staff was so nice. The breakfast had wonderful choices. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and everything seemed home made. The shuttle pick up at the train was very helpful too.

Hotel room was beautiful, clean and quiet. We had a lovely mountain view. Breakfast had lots of options and food was replenished often. Staff made sure tables were cleaned quickly too so no wait for tables even when breakfast was busy. We used shuttle to and from train station and drivers were excellent and informative.

The room was comfortable, the view from our balcony was amazing and the breakfast was very good. However, in a 3 week trip with multiple hotel stays, this was the only one that didn’t have free coffee (hotels.com said it did, but it was wrong), or access to a fridge. Our deck neighbour was also a chain smoker and the smoke came in our room if we had the window open - and it was a very hot few days. It also spoiled our enjoyment of our deck. Given how many hotels there are in Zermatt, I wouldn’t stay here again

Wonderful stay! I will definitely stay here again if able to make it back to Switzerland! Very comfortable bed/ room, good view of the Matterhorn, good breakfast, and we liked the location. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the trains but we didn’t mind the walk!

The team at breakfast and dinner were extremely sweet. From Tiago, Micala, Julia at dinner to Alex and Maria at breakfast and Carlos who dropped us to the station. The room was fab with an amazing view!

Niko and the rest of the staff treated us like family, very warm and friendly. Great location with a beautiful view and balcony. Very convenient to have the shuttle pickup from the train station. Would stay again!

It was amazing from our pick up from the train station all the way to check in. Our room was ready. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and the location was perfect. The breakfast was delicious too 😋‼️🇨🇭

This was one of favourite hotel in Switzerland. Very cozy, clean and comfortable stay. The bedding was so comfortable. The room was spacious. Check in was a breeze, took only 2 min. All the staffs were very friendly, accomodating and helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety of food ranging from different varieties of bread and spreads, cheeses, eggs to plenty of choices for beverages. The hotel also provides free transport to and from the station. Our room had a slight view of the matterhorn from the balcony. It’s about 10 to 15 min easy walk to the city centre. Overall excellent place to stay. Highly recommend.

This was the best hotel service we had in all our trip to Switzerland! I communicated with them so that the hotel staff picked us up by taxi from our train to Zermatt. The room (highly recommend getting one with Matterhorn view) was beautiful. The staff was INCREDIBLE- when we made our reservation for dinner (which was amazing by the way) they even decorated the table for my wife’s birthday! We had the best time from start to finish thanks to Hotel Jägerhof. When we come back to Zermatt we will likely be staying there again :)

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very comfortable and clean. The daily breakfast had a lot of options and the coffee was excellent! The staff are all very friendly and I found Samuel at the front desk to be very helpful. I hope to come back some day!

This was the most perfect place for me and my husband to stay in Zermatt. Centrally located close to everything we wanted / needed. Hotel staff was so kind, helpful and courteous. Breakfast was delicious and keep us full long into the afternoon. We would not change 1 single thing about Hotel Jagerhof. I am typically ready to go home after a week, but I was literally sad to leave this place. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our 1st trip to Zermatt a literal fairytale.

From the pickup at the train station until we were taken back to the train station 3 days later, everything was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located and clean. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice full breakfast and we had dinner there two nights as well. Also very good. Highly recommend!

Very charming and cozy hotel. Beautiful views of Zermatt and the mountains. Within walking distance to the Main Street. Hotel service overall was amazing and they will pick you up from train station in their shuttle. Their breakfast is very good and we also had a fantastic dinner in the hotel restaurant which has many delicious options.

The hotel has amazing views of the Matterhorn and is very conveniently situated to do the Gornergrat experience and also for beautiful hikes! There is a lovely garden here, which we enjoyed every day. The staff were outstanding and the breakfast buffet and dinners there were absolutely delicious!!

Everything was great except for the hotel allowing smoking on the decks which means if you want a no smoking room that doesn’t exist. A quick solution have them smoke outside on the ground floor. Nothing worse that smelling tobacco smoke in your room!
