TownePlace Suites by Marriott Thousand Oaks Ventura County

The hot tub was HOT which I liked, too hot for my husband. The property could use some updating, many things were the same as when we were there 9 years ago. The employees were friendly.

Elevator & parking not very well. Upstairs lot downstairs elevator etc. check in very accommodating. Nice pool area.

The room was clean and the in-room kitchen was very well-equipped with full sized appliances, dishes, utensils, and even a small sponge and bottle of dishwashing liquid. They thought of everything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were even able to grill steaks and corn on the outdoor grill by the pool.

Gym was 86 degrees. Dryers are not good. Poor pool service

Very convenient to my family and easy to get to off of the 101. Several restaurants nearby. Good included breakfast. Found the bed too soft and was surprised by the almost $17 a night parking fee - that was not specified in description- it just stated parking and I realize agreement says they can charge for extras but should be stated in description. There were plenty of spaces so need to charge

They charged $100 for a pet when most places charge $50. Also they charged $10 a night for parking and we were told that ahead of time.

Perfect location, plenty of room for families and the pool/gym were great too.

We arrived at night. The lights in front of the hotel and in the parking lot were off. It was hard to find the hotel.

We stayed here as a stop over after a long day travelling to LAX. I was pleasantly surprised at every stop. The staff were *genuinely* nice and made us feel welcome. Easy to get to, quiet but near main Highways - didn't use the pool or gym but saw they had both with the gym being 24/7 There's also a laundry room Nearby In and Out burger is easily walkable as is Chilis Breakfast was good For our stop I couldnt have wished for any more.

The staff upfront were really friendly. The Help around the hotel were very friendly things were very clean. They had plenty of towels. They even had a service where you can rent a board game that was pretty cool. The Jacuzzi and the pool are heated and Work Well great place to stay give it a try

We enjoyed our stay very clean rooms and property was nice.

This was the worst Marriott that I have ever stayed at in my last 20 years of travel the rooms were dirty dated and apparently it was a pet friendly hotel. The furniture in the room was all tore up by someone who would stay there with a cat it was hair in the shower very noisy in the bed was absolutely horrible. Honestly, you should give me my money back as disappointed as I am.

There were small areas of the property that needed better maintenance or cleaning (look at the side of the fridge next to the sink-ew), but the staff were always pleasant and helpful.

The room was untidy. The carpet was dirty. Had to wear slippers to make sure my feet didn’t touch the carpet. Found socks and other paper on the floor when unpacking

A nice little hotel for a quick trip to Thousand Oaks. Front Desk was helpful, unfortunately we had to deal with them too often as there was no sheets on the beds when we got there, and when getting a second pass for a family member we were told that we din't need to pay for the parking pass, although I already had. So that was strange. And even though it is a non smoking motel, the halway stank of Smoke very bad.

This property is older and it shows. The room was clean and the bed is the Marriott Hotel supreme! The furniture is old and the front desk is very small and tucked away. All in all, a solid 3 star hotel. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Staff was excellent, very attentive! Breakfast was excellent with many options. Room was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

The room smelled like pee. The pull out bed mattress had stains all over it. I’m not talking about a few stains here and there huge brown spots. There was soda splatter on the wall. Needs A LOT of updating and cleaning.

The cleanliness and a very friendly staff, and they were always busy. Great place to stay and will definitely return there. Thank you, Erika

Good location, comfy beds, breakfast offerings were better than expected, loved the green chili especially!

The walls are very thin, could hear conversations in rooms/hall even in normal (not yelling) voice

Took my family on a trip and this was perfect! We had the right amount of beds and room separation for everyone to sleep well even on a trip. The kitchenette that I expected surpassed my expectations because it was in fact a full kitchen with supplies. I don’t know if I can go back to a single room with multiple beds again. This was great!

The rooms/suites were in awesome condition. The kitchen came with everything we needed. Those items it did not have in the kitchen were easily sogned for at the main office. Every encounter with the front office staff, no matter who it was, was a tremendous help. They were professional and very friendly.

Our stay was great, and the customer service we received is what really made it that way. Leo at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay, was welcoming when we checked in and accommodating with any questions we had. All the staff we came into contact with was friendly and helpful, from maintenance staff to housekeeping to front desk. We brought our dog on this trip and staff ensured we had what we needed and knew where spaces were for our dog to go out. We’d come back solely for the service we received.

We stayed here one night in August, 2023 for a wedding. There were two couples and one singleton, so we rented a suite. I mentioned that my tall son would be on the pull out bed, and to be sure it was ready for him. Sleeping on a couch would not work. When we arrived, there were two young adults working at the desk. They were chatting with each other. They were not UNfriendly, but I would not say they were welcoming, either. Perhaps anxious to get back to their conversation? When we got ALL the way up to our room with all our luggage, we looked high and low for the bedding for the pull out, and it was no where to be found. My son had to walk some distance all the way back to the office to get a bag full of bedding. No apology was made. My sister's daughter slept on the pullout in their room (same hotel, same night) and she was given a bag of bedding upon checking in. The air conditioner in one of the bedrooms dripped water on the carpet, so it was soaking wet on one side of the bed. For five people in a suite, there were THREE bath towels, TWO hand towels, and NO wash cloths. We made due because it was such a long walk back to the office. Would not stay here again. Stayed at a TownePlace in Manhattan Beach a few days later and it was literally one of the top most comfortable, most lovely, most comfortable mid-priced hotels we've stayed in! I recommend THAT TownePlace facility!! Check it out, but skip the one in Thousand Oaks.

Service was non-existent. Front desk phone either busy or nobody answered. No room service for the three day stay because they were under staffed. Had to go to front desk and request trash be taken out. Carpets were filthy and torn up. Not what you expect from Marriott. Will never stay there again!

Parking near my room was very convenient and being close to everything in Thousand Oaks was perfect location for me. Room was clean and kitchenette perfect for my purposes. Freeway access close by too.

Great stop, nice suite witk kitchenette perfect if you want to do some cooking. Folks at the desk so nice.., great breakfast to kick off the day. Water volume in shower strong and heats quickly! Great food around and good morning walk potential. Gteat Sray - thanks!!

Manager Nancy is the only manager I saw personally cleaning the small restaurant during free breakfast time. She makes sure hotels guests are good. Barry makes good breakfast. Andrew does a good job extending my stay. These three are my great employees to commend.

I liked that our room and overall hotel were very clean. The breakfast was also very good with variety. Customer service was excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Morning food was cold unless you made your own waffels. Had issue with sink backing up in bathroom, was only there 1 night.
