Extremely disappointed there was no luggage cart. We do not travel light and carts are necessary for our travel. Additionally, breakfast was very minimal compared to other hotels not to mention no where to sit and eat other than the lobby couches. Other than the above the place was nice and clean.

Good value hotel for a short stay. Everyone was nice and the property was clean. Limited to no seating for the breakfast area. Small enough to take to your room easily. Pool area was clean and nice. Restaurant on site was good and convenient .

We stayed a few days. The hotel was clean, but dated. Our room's AC unit had an open panel that exposed debris and dust. The bathroom had recently been redone and was newer and clean. It was quiet. However hotel smells like stale cigarette smoke the moment you enter the side entrances by the room. Website indicates a restaurant that has not been open for at least a year if not longer; that was one of the reasons we chose this location was because of the dining options. Additionally while the pool is indoors, it is not heated and the water was cold. The front staff were wonderful, polite and amazing with location suggestions.

Convienent location and affordable. Many recent updates to the hallways and rooms were apparent. Room was comfortable but the bathroom was not cleaned well and I had to make two trips to front desk for clean towels since there was only one, yes one, towel in the room on our arrival. Who cleans these rooms? Have they had ANY training? Does anyone inspect the rooms after cleaning? Highly annoying oversights like this are dealbreakers for experienced travelers.

Checked in late, got unpacked for the night, turned the bedding down only to find filthy sheets. Dirt, pubic hair, just absolutely disgusting. I walked down to the front desk to tell them about the issue and while the desk clerk was pleasant and apologetic, he brought us clean sheets, went back to get fresh pillow cases that he forgot or didn't originally think were necessary for some reason, and left. He appeared to the only person on staff. So I had to change the bedding in a hotel myself. Wholly unacceptable. No rate adjustment, nothing. Just sorry 'bout it. I would never stay there again and warn those would.

Love this hotel! We stay here often when traveling to Escanaba. The rooms are clean and nice, nothing fancy, but rooms have a “homey” feel. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Bathrooms had mold in toilet, shower and on shower ceiling. We had to ask to have our room cleaned and they did not refill coffee, give us more towels or vacuum very well. We have stayed here many times but this time I was not pleased.

The hotel beds were very comfortable which I’m generally pretty picky about same with the pillows. The halls and rooms are fairly dated. The halls are very dimly lit. We weren’t there for staying in the room though so it was fine. We ate one night at the pub downstairs. The food was good, the pub itself was very warm though. Our poor waitress looked like she was dying of heat. Escanaba has so much potential. You can see that at one time it was a very busy city. We went downtown on a Saturday and there were no coffee shops open to sit and relax at. The two ladies at the candy shop (this is probably wrong spelling but Saywells?). It’s a must stop, the candy is delicious and the two ladies working were so friendly. The street downtown was under construction while we were there which I’m sure put a damper on businesses. I live in a tourist town and I wish we had the opportunity that this downtown has for revitalizing.

There were about 12 cars in the parking lot of a giant hotel. I got the corner room on the highway for some reason. Heard trucks downshifting all night. The queen beds are from 1988. They have a curve right on the middle of them. Not a great night of sleep

The front desk clerk was knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. The housekeeper I spoke with briefly was also friendly. The room was very nice and clean. The only suggestion I would have is updating the beds and maybe getting Keurig coffee pots... Even those two things were not deal breakers. I didn't get a chance to try out their restaurant, but I could smell the food and I am excited to try it next trip. I enjoyed my stay enough that I am staying again at the end of the month.

I was checked into a room and walked into find a toilet that was not flushed after someone used it. The front desk person did not even bother to come up and help me change the room. Instead I had to walk down all the way to get the keys to a different room.

I checked in to the clerk arguing with someone on the phone. Looked at me while rolling his eyes. Finally finished and got me checked in. Needed a first floor room due to limited mobility. No elevator or carts. The room was filthy. No housekeeping. Reported it back to clerk who let into a profanity laced f this and f that. My wife called him on his language. He told her he was way beyond that. Finally got a second floor room and luggage assist. That room was still dirty even though housekeeping had been performed. Met with the owner the following morning who helped getting luggage to car. He was not at all surprised by his employees’ behavior and blamed it on hiring a relative of another employee. Not at all acceptable. The owner should have simply refunded the entire cost for the stay. We travel often and worst experience in memory.

The breakfast is a bit disappointing. The basics, coffee, juice, yogurt and a few pieces of fresh fruit as well as a toaster. No place to sit so take it back to your room or to go.
